Chevening Scholarship enables outstanding individuals around the globe to pursue a one-year master’s degree in the UK. The next time you can apply for the scholarship will be in August 2020.
Monetary benefits of the Chevening Scholarship include fully paid university tuition fees, travel costs to and from the UK, an arrival allowance, a homeward departure allowance, a travel grant to attend Chevening events in the UK, a monthly stipend, and the cost of one visa application.
In Pakistan, each year around 3000 mid-career professionals apply for the UK offered a scholarship but only a handful of them make it to Queensland.
If you’re someone who is capable of excelling in an intense master’s course in the UK, then you must apply and grow your network, and experience UK’s culture.
The deadline to apply for the scholarship is usually in the month of November but extensions have been granted earlier. Before you apply for the scholarship, you require at least one unconditional offer from a UK based university.
You are eligible only if you have working experience of at least two years that is 2800 working hours. The working experience can be full-time employment, part-time employment, Voluntary work, Paid or unpaid internships, and even freelancing. (Note: You do not require certificates or letters to prove employment tenure.)
The scholarship requires the English Language test. You can choose from academic IELTS (paper or computer-based), Pearson PTE Academic, TOEFL iBT, C1 Advanced (formerly Cambridge English: Advanced [CAE]) and Trinity ISE II (B2).
You also require two genuine references from your professional, educational, religious, educational, supervisory, voluntary background. No more than two references should be added to the application.
If your application gets accepted, you will be called in for the interview. Interviews take place in cities/towns where the British council is present. You must book your own slot and follow up with the correspondent.
