Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Asim Munirโs mother has passed away, leading to an outpouring of condolences from political and religious leaders across the country.
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed deep sorrow over the passing of General Asim Munirโs mother. They offered prayers for the departed soul and extended their support to the grieving family. President Zardari stated that he shared General Munirโs grief and stood by his family in this difficult time.
Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi also offered his condolences, praying for the deceasedโs forgiveness and for patience for her loved ones. Prime Ministerโs Adviser on Political Affairs Rana Sanaullah expressed sadness and prayed for divine mercy upon the departed soul.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz and Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah conveyed their sympathies. They expressed their sorrow and assured the army chief and his family of their support.

Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman described the passing of a mother as a great personal loss. He prayed for her forgiveness and for strength for General Munirโs family.
Senate Chairman Yousaf Raza Gilani also expressed deep grief. He extended his sympathies to General Munir and prayed for strength and comfort for his family. Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) leader Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui urged his party members to offer special prayers for the forgiveness of General Asim Munirโs mother.
Sindh Governor Kamran Tessori, Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Sindh Transport Minister Sharjeel Memon, Sindh Energy Minister Syed Nasir Shah, former Senate Chairman Sadiq Sanjrani, federal ministers Khalid Hussain Magsi and Rana Tanveer Hussain, and religious leader Allama Kokab Noorani Okarvi also expressed their condolences for General Asim Munirโs mother.
