Former Indian captain Virat Kohli is arguably the fittest cricketer in the world now, and he proved it again yesterday during the T20I against Afghanistan. Kohli bagged a golden duck with the bat, however, he he stayed in the game with his brilliant fielding in the second innings.

During second innings, facing a target of 213 runs, Afghanistan’s batsmen Ibrahim Zadran and Rahmanullah Gurbaz provided a solid start, both scoring half-centuries. However, quick wickets posed a threat to their chase until Mohammed Nabi’s brilliant innings kept them in contention.

Washington Sundar claimed his third wicket by dismissing Nabi, bringing Karim Janat to the crease. In an attempt to clear the boundary, Janat lofted the ball, seemingly destined for a six. However, Virat Kohli leaped into the air, making an extraordinary save and preventing five crucial runs for his side.

The Bengaluru crowd erupted in cheers as Kohli executed a superhuman effort, denying Afghanistan a certain six.

Not content with just the save, Kohli further shocked the audience with a stunning catch that stole the spotlight as the fielding effort of the night. When Najibullah Zadran lofted a delivery from Avesh Khan, Kohli sprinted across to complete the catch in remarkable fashion.
