David Warner Joins PSL 10 Draft as 23rd Foreign Player

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) is set to feature another cricketing legend as David Warner signs up for the PSL 10 draft. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced the news, stating, โ€œThe Aussie powerhouse David Warner has registered for the PSL Draft.โ€ This makes Warner the 23rd foreign player to join the draft for the leagueโ€™s much-anticipated 10th season.

Warner will be accompanied by fellow Australians Usman Khawaja, Matthew Short, Sean Abbott and Alex Carey, along with stars from New Zealand, South Africa, England and other cricketing nations. Known for his explosive batting, Warner has been a pivotal player in international cricket. In his career, he has scored 8786 runs in 112 Test matches and 6932 runs in 161 ODIs. His T20 record includes 3277 runs with a century and 28 fifties.

Currently leading the Sydney Sixers in the Big Bash League, Warner recently scored 86 off 57 balls against Melbourne Renegades. This earned him the Player of the Match title. With his PSL registration, fans are eager to see his impact in the tournament.

The PSL 10 player draft will take place in Gwadar on January 11, 2025, as per the PCB. Lahore Qalandars hold the first platinum pick, followed by Karachi Kings and Quetta Gladiators. Other international players joining the draft include Tim Southee, Martin Guptill and Shakib Al Hasan.
