The Lahore High Court has approved bail for Khadijah Shah, a high-end fashion designer, in two cases involving vandalism and arson at both the Lahore Corps Commander House and the Askari Tower in Gulberg on May 9. This bail decision was made by a two-member bench of the high court presided by Justice Alia Neelam.
Khadijah Shah’s Arrest For Arson
These specific cases of arson and vandalism were filed against Khadijah Shah at the Sarwar Road and Gulberg police stations. The court had previously reserved its decision on the bail requests for Khadijah Shah and other individuals on Tuesday.
During the hearing, the police presented Khadijah Shah and other suspects before the court after the completion of their judicial remand. The police had also requested an extension in the remand.
The court accepted the plea and extended the judicial remand of Khadijah Shah, Alia Hamza, and others until October 31.
As per the court’s official cause list, additional suspects in these cases include Usman Sharif, Muhammad Shahbaz, Suleiman Qadri, and Arbaaz. The court’s decision pertained to the post-arrest bail of these individuals.
