Veena Malik on Hafeez Ahmed’s Show

Veena Malik, in one of the episodes of Hafiz Ahmed’s show, gave an inspiring and thought-provoking message. She asked people not to judge someone’s religious dedication by their outer appearance. “If someone appears to be religious or pious, then it becomes very easy for others to judge them about their spirituality based on their looks,” she said, adding that true spirituality is much deeper than that.

The Transformative Power of Astaghfar

Veena Malik shared the most memorable moment when she started doing astaghfar, a term which means seeking forgiveness from Allah in Islam. For her, this practice marked a different turning point. “Doing astaghfar was my turning point,” she confided, reflecting on how it remodelled her outlook on and approach to life. She said, “I was the pioneer; I was the first one who did it, and now everyone is doing that. I was the first actor to bring this practice into my life.”

A Non-Judgmental Approach to Faith

Elaborating more, Veena suggested that one should not evaluate a person based on one’s physical appearance or how someone is dressed up. She noted, “Anyone can be touched by God and his powers. Sometimes it can happen when you aren’t even looking for it, anyone can turn to God.” Speaking about her journey, she clarified that in 2013, she started to put her religious practices into practice in her life. Still, she clarified that one has nothing to do with donning a hijab just because one is religious.
