Recent social media claims spread a false rumor about the ban on Dubai visas for single individuals under 42. The widespread claim came from a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, where a user shared that this has been confirmed by many in the travel industry. However, no formal announcement ever confirmed this. The opposite occurred when UAE’s Consulate General Bakheet Obaid Al-Roumi issued a video statement to refute the false propaganda.
According to Al-Roumi, there is no visa ban for Pakistanis. Moreover, Pakistanis are free to travel to the UAE for work visas, and there is no age limit for those seeking to enter the country.
Though these claims were false, they suggested that Pakistanis would not be able to travel in search of a job or to start up their business.
Major Changes In Dubai Visa Laws
There have been major changes in the visa laws. One of these includes a 6-month temporary visa where job seekers can overstay their visit in search of employment opportunities. On their visa application website safety concerns have been highlighted. They justify the strictness Pakistanis have faced when it came to attaining a visitation visa Dubai.
Is there a ban? The website states no. Yet, though there is no comprehensive ban on Pakistanis for a UAE visa, there are speculations due to specific reasons.
Firstly, safety concerns. In some instances, Pakistani visa requests have been denied due to safety protocol. Secondly, there have been rumors about specific bans. This means the UAE is restricting visas for those belonging to specific regions in Pakistan, such as Abbottabad. This has been debunked, as not true.
