A number of Pakistanis both male and female lost their calm over a loud and angry woman championing patriarchal values on a morning show.
The show’s theme was the rise of divorce rates in Pakistan, and while a marriage includes two people, Mrs. Khan somehow managed to make it all about women and their responsibilities in a marriage.
Mrs. Khan faced her fair share of backlash for her obnoxiously orthodox and prejudiced point of views. However, what is now getting all the attention is the all new Dulhan Course.
Apparently, the course is supposed to help brides-to-be develop a better understanding of how to run and manage a family in a healthy manner.
Wow. OK.
Take a look at how people are responding to this:
Why a Dulhan Course? For Heavens sake you need more of a โDulha Course โ The bigger problem in a marriage is mostly from the Men! Women have been more adjustable to the circumstances and have been more understanding! Men need to be given lessons! pic.twitter.com/3FqHHhKrol

Instead they should also offer the Dulha course where subjects will include how to not be an absuive jerk to your wife, how to refrain from taking your wifeโs money, how to make rotis and wash your own socks, how to become pretty and avoid that pot belly. https://t.co/OBlkhQCR2F

Then sell it as sewing class. Sell it as cooking class. Sell it as mehendi class. Selling it as โDulhan courseโ is sexist and there is no way to spin that shit. Not all women think doing this is needed to be a home maker.
