UAE is a hot-spot for tourists. People from around the world come to visit the country mainly for Dubai and the sights it presents. During the spread of the pandemic, UAE limited much of tourism activities. Still, as the world is adjusting to the new normal and now even the vaccine has been developed, it is reopening its doors to tourists. To show that it is ready to welcome, Emirates is taking the initiative to tell the world about it.
Dubai opens to tourists
For this purpose, the airline has started a multi-million dollar campaign that will run through the winters starting from December and ending in February. The airline is promoting Destination Dubai, and so they have partnered with Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) as well. In this partnership, the Emirates travelers traveling between December 6 and February 8 can get a free stay at the five-star JW Marriott Marquis. The complimentary stay provides economy travelers a one-night stay at the hotel while Business and First Class travelers get a 2-nights stay at the hotel.
The best part about the hotel is that the main tourist destinations in Dubai are located nearby. These destinations include Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, and Dubai Opera. Although, these are not the only touristic destinations, so once you check out after the free stay and choose an Air BnB host, you can cover the rest from there.
Statements by officials
Helal Saeed Almarri, the Director-General of Dubai’s Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism), said:
“The remarkable vision and leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of UAE, and Ruler of Dubai, have been a huge source of inspiration to us all, leading to the decisive and efficient management of the pandemic and ultimately paving the way for the reopening of the city to tourists in July. Since then, Dubai has seen a steady increase in visitors, underpinned by comprehensive measures to safeguard the wellbeing of our guests.
Going into 2021, Dubai will continue to strengthen its offering for business and leisure visitors with the launch of new facilities and attractions, as well as the return of world-class conferences, events, and festivals, including the iconic Dubai Shopping Festival and the first-ever World Expo to be held in this region. We are pleased to work closely with our strategic partner, Emirates, on its latest global campaign, as we look forward to welcoming international travelers to make Dubai their destination of choice this winter.”
Adnan Kazim, Emirates’ Chief Commercial Officer, added that:
“Dubai remains one of the most attractive global destinations, and we see strong interest and steady growth in bookings to Dubai from across our network and particularly from Europe. With our latest campaign, we aim to reignite the magic of travel and put Dubai foremost in the minds of people around the world, seeking a winter getaway.”
So if Dubai is included in your future travel plans, make sure to travel between these dates and get a five-star experience. Although we Pakistanis are still not allowed in UAE but let’s hope they lift the restriction before February 28th.
