That’s right! Facebook is renaming Instagram and WhatsApp. In the latest turn of events, Facebook has notified Instagram and WhatsApp employees that it plans to rebrand both apps.
The applications have also merged with one another in an attempt to make it easier for businesses and marketers to operate all three platforms with ease from one location.
The applications will be rebranded as ‘WhatsApp from Facebook’ and ‘Instagram from Facebook’. A Facebook spokesperson confirmed the news.

However, it is expected that the platforms will have to work through several crucial technical challenges before they are able to work smoothly. Both applications play a vital role in Facebook’s growth prospects as both have a userbase of over 1 billion users.
We have yet to see what the future holds for Facebook and its platforms in the long-run.
