The creative head behind Maria B, has been under the spotlight for her activist behaviour. This includes her active part in banning the movie ‘Joyland’ from local cinemas because the plot included LGBTQ elements.

Maria B has been highly vocal about the ongoing boycott. Raising her voice on Palestine and right from wrong has put her in a tricky situation socially. Currently, Barzakh, Asim Abbasi’s new series has been facing a lot of backlash. Asim Abbasi responded to the backlash. Maria B shared her opinions on yet another LGBTQ-promoting content being released in Pakistan. And Fahad Hussayn has decided to condemn her controversial views. Moreover, Fahad took it to Instagram and shared a lengthy text, commenting on Maria B’s consistent habit of sharing her opinions on matters she doesn’t know much about.

Fahad Hussayn wrote, “Woman wants to talk about everything for attention, but no one wants to correct her.” Suggesting that Maria speaks on political and controversial matters for clout, as a way to promote her business. Explaining how otherwise her business wouldn’t get recognised.
