During the conversation, host Ushna Shah delivered a sharp comment regarding shameless sexism in the profession of work, asking Faryal if she had been faced with aggression from her male counterparts. To this, Faryal replied with a big yes, saying, “Yes, I have faced it, but I keep myself cool. I find it cute, too.” The reply depicts the character of keeping herself composed even in tight situations. Faryal responds that if someone is trying to correct her, she takes it lightly because she believes they usually do not know more than she does.
A Gym Story: Handling Aggression with Grace
Faryal Mehmood went on and share a personal anecdote about a gym encounter that perfectly illustrated her point. She did not want to reveal the name of the individual but recounted how she was stuck at the door with her headphones when somebody approached her. The person asked her to remove her headphones, and as she did so, he went on talking about her reputation, pointing out terrible comments he had heard. He persisted in instructing her to “work on her aggression” and was adamant that such behaviour was not going to cut it in the industry.

Though Faryal was shocked to see the person who began lecturing her, she managed to keep a cool demeanour. “Thanks for your concern, but let’s concentrate on our workout,” she said, melting the situation graciously. She had already signed a project with the same person and backed out of collaboration after this incident.
