Federal Govt to Provide Free E-Bikes to Top Students Nationwide

The Federal Government has announced an initiative to provide free electric bikes (E-bikes) to 120 top-performing students across Pakistan. This is to showcase eco-friendly transport and support academic excellence. Additionally, 39,000 E-bikes and 1,900 electric rickshaws will be offered on concessional loans as part of the upcoming electric vehicle policy. Plans include installing charging stations at every petrol pump in Islamabad, aligning with PM Shehbaz Sharifโ€™s vision of a sustainable future.

Meanwhile, Punjab has ramped up its e-bike program, raising allocations to 27,200 under the Chief Minister Youth Initiative. Orphaned students and female applicants are prioritized for free E-bikes, with thousands already distributed.
