Samsung has always been in the fore-front, and are called the pioneers when it comes to innovation. The recently launched Galaxy S24 serves as a testament to that. Not only have they introduced a titanium body design this time, the new device offers the most sophisticated mobile AI experience to date.
Like Chat-GPT, Galaxy AI is a collection of generative AI tools that can comprehend more than just text. This is made possible by a feature known as multi-modal input, which enables you to search, communicate, create, and do more using your voice, camera, or even simply gestures. Galaxy AI is driven by both an on-device AI developed by Samsung themselves, and a cloud-based AI made possible by its open partnerships with top giants in the industry, such as Google. Galaxy AI is intended to provide universal intelligence on a phone to all people, everywhere. Even Dr. TM Roh, who is the President & Head of MX Business, Samsung Electronics stated:
We will make mobile ai easy to access and ignite new possibilities for all
But what happens if you don’t own a Galaxy S24? Will your current Galaxy phone or tablet be able to benefit from Galaxy AI? Yes, in fact, Samsung has stated that starting at the end of March, more Galaxy devices will have access to Galaxy AI thanks to an all-new One UI 6.1 update.
What’s So Special About Galaxy AI?
It’s a world of endless possibilities with the all-new Galaxy AI. It offers various features that can enhance your productivity, creativity, and communication. Here are just a couple of examples of what’s possible with Galaxy AI:
- Circle to Search via Google: Google offers a new gesture-based method for searching anything on your phone called Circle to Search. It’s even one of the simplest features to use, which involves, tapping, highlighting, circling, or doodling anything on your screen with your finger or the S Pen. You will then receive Google Search results according to what you highlighted. This will allow you to circle any product, location, or even person and obtain related results, pictures, or videos.
- Live Translate: This feature will allow you to break down all language barriers you may encounter, be it while texting or even calling. Live Translate will allow you to have conversations with anyone with real-time translations.
- Chat Assist: A feature that aids in improving message drafting. To make your writing sound more conversational or professional, you may even utilize Chat Assist to obtain real-time tone suggestions. Additionally, Chat Assist allows you to translate messages into thirteen other languages.
- Generative Edit: This will allow users to edit their photos and videos completely, from resizing or relocating objects entirely. It will intelligently fill in empty spaces and then be used to apply filters or effects as one pleases.
- ChatGPT: This function will enable AI assistance through conversation. ChatGPT allows you to do a lot of things, such as having fun conversations, receive knowledge, and ask questions. Natural language is understood by ChatGPT, which may then produce relevant and interesting answers. It already has gained a mass following since its inception.
