The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development has proposed a deal for overseas Pakistanis in which they will be able to import 1 hybrid car (up to 3000CC) duty-free.
Furthermore, the authority shared that this will be for those Pakistanis who are Foreign Exchange Remittance Cardholders who present proof of remitting $100,000 using legal banking channels within two years.
The ministry was directed to address the issues being faced by overseas Pakistanis and help in making policies to make things better for them.
Syed Zulfi Bukhari, special assistant to the prime minister for overseas Pakistanis and human resources development tweeted:

A notification was circulated stating that these orders have been sent to the Ministry of Industries & Production and the Engineering Development Board by the Overseas Ministry.

Furthermore, it was projected that during this ongoing fiscal year, settlements from 8 million overseas Pakistan will rise 5% touching a record of $23 billion.
As per the notification, FBR has approved duty, tax-free import of cars to privileged people on the first arrival in Pakistan.
Moreover, the Senate has also recommended duty-free mobiles under the baggage rule allowing duty-free import of mobile phones to aid the government’s goal of digital Pakistan.
