Engineering schools must be accredited by the Pakistan Engineers Council (PEC) to ensure the validity of their degrees recognized by the HEC.

The HEC also highlighted that professional degree programs encompass various fields such as Engineering, Medicine & Dentistry, Veterinary Education, Nursing, Architecture and Town Planning, Pharmacy, Law, Homeopathy, Tibb, Agriculture, Business, Computing, Teacher Education, and Technology. These programs require accreditation from the respective professional councils.
