The eighth season of the Pakistan Super League kicked off yesterday, on Monday at the Multan Cricket Stadium with a spectacular opening ceremony. The PSL 8 anthem was sung by Abdullah Siddiqui, Asim Azhar, Faris Shafi, and Shae Gill during performances for cricket fans in Multan and throughout the world, who witnessed magnificent performances by a variety of performers.
Aima Baig, the young talented, and beautiful singer started off the ceremony by singing a rendition of the Pakistani national anthem.
Quetta and Peshawar will also host PSL matches in 2024, according to Najam Sethi, chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Management Committee, who spoke during the occasion. “PSL has granted Pakistan a number of assets. We may be proud that this has grown to be a global brand. Several local and foreign players are making their debuts this year”. He added. HBL CEO Muhammad Aurangzeb then addressed the crowd. The CEO of HBL anticipated that the young athletes will do well in the competition. He, likewise, urged the spectators there and everywhere else to take pleasure in the competition. No matter who wins, Pakistan has truly triumphed, he continued.

After this performance, came the most awaited performance of the night. The new PSL anthem has already been receiving immense love from the audience and yesterday was its first-ever live performance. The energetic and pumped Asim Azhar, Shae Gill, and Faris Shafi rocked the stage.
After all the performances were over, the PSL opening ceremony ended with a grand firework show. This was also the first time that AR and VR technology was used in Pakistan. It truly was a sight to look at.
