After the iconic performance of Shoaib Malik in the T20 World Cup, he set out to win even more praise in the T20 matches of Pakistan against Bangladesh. In the two T20s, Pakistan remained victorious. However, in the last match that was set to take place today, 22nd November 2021, Shoaib Malik will not be on the ground.

Thankfully, the current Pakistani team is not such where they rely on one player alone. Every victory is a team effort so while we are sad that Sania Mirza’s husband will not be playing, we are not too worried about the match today. That said, we do not mean that Shoaib Malik is not an important player rather he can focus on the reason he left Bangladesh.
Here’s why he will not be playing
It was revealed that Shoaib and Sania’s son, Izhaan is not well. Getting to know this, Shoaib Malik immediately began making his way back to Dubai. Fortunately, instead of bashing the batsman, Pakistanis have rounded up to support the decision and wish Izhaan a speedy recovery.
It has not been revealed what Izhaan is suffering from that led to Shoaib quickly making his way back home but hopefully, the little one will be well soon.
All rounder Shoaib Malik released from Pakistan’s T20 squad. He’s leaving for Dubai to join his family as his son is unwell.

Shoaib Malik "There's alot of unity in Pakistan Cricket Team at the moment, boys use to cheer & support each other. Our only goal is to make Pakistan a top quality side. I believe, this team has the ability to be the No.1 side of world. Our cricket is in safe hands." #PAKvBAN pic.twitter.com/BtvXf8TH75

Taking his place in the squad will be Iftikhar Ahmed. Moreover, it is expected that Shahnawaz Dahani will be plying his debut match today in the grounds of Bangladesh.
🇵🇰 Shoaib Malik will be unavailable in the third and final T20 against Bangladesh as his son is unwell. Iftikhar Ahmed is highly likely to replace Shoaib Malik in the playing eleven of final T20. Meanwhile Shahnawaz Dahani also expected to debut today. #BANvPAK

It seems that there are quite some changes to the Pakistani cricket team. But given that we have stayed strong ever since the first T20 World Cup match with the exception of the semi-final, these changes will not make much difference. We wish the team all the best of luck for the third match against Bangladesh.
