She shared how upset she was over the fact that individuals are now taking pride in not knowing Urdu.

Hina Bayat’s words on Instagram expressed her sadness towards others’ adopting British and American accents. She wrote that any accent that is not put on will always come across as fake. Suggesting that pretending to be someone you’re not will always make you seem like a fraud.

Hina Bayat Expresses Sadness Over Culture Of Fake Accents

TV actress, Hina, has been one of the first to comment on the decline of the Urdu language. The rising popularity of fake accents that are either British or American resulted in her speaking up and sharing her two cents on the matter.

In an Instagram post, Hina wrote that any accents, if put on, will come across as fake. She then suggested that individuals should focus on grooming themselves and getting their pronunciation right, and not “try” to put on an accent that is not theirs. She said in clear words, if it is fake, it sounds fake too!

Bayat shared how much it saddens her that many are now taking pride in not knowing Urdu. She maintained that when you negate your language, you negate your culture, your literature, your history and so much more.
