Working with Icons

Behroze takes great pride in working with some of the biggest names in the industry. He credited these experiences as milestones in his journey. While talking, Ushna Shah brought up an interesting chapter from his life: his blacklisting. She asked him about secretly travelling to work on a film with his close friend, Javed Sheikh, despite the restrictions.

The Blacklisting Era

Behroze elaborated on the incident, stating that he and his colleagues were blacklisted for a year in 1983. He explained that when General Mujibur Rehman was a minister under the Zia-ul-Haq regime, they were prohibited from travelling due to their commitments to serials. However, he and Javed Sheikh decided to move ahead with their plans. They travelled to Dubai secretly and stayed at the Mardia Club in Sharjah while working on the film.
