The ICC Menโ€™s Champions Trophy 2025 is set to return with a bang, kicking off on February 19 in Pakistan, and the prize money this time is massive!

Record-Breaking Prize Pool

The ICC has announced a massive total prize money of $6.9 million for the 2025 Champions Trophy, marking a 53% increase from the 2017 edition.

Hereโ€™s how the prize money will be distributed:

  • Winners: $2.24 million
  • Runners-up: $1.12 million
  • Losing semi-finalists: $560,000 each

Additionally, every group stage victory will earn teams $34,000, while teams will receive the following based on their final standings:

  • 5th and 6th place: $350,000 each
  • 7th and 8th place: $140,000 each
  • Participation reward for all teams: $125,000 each

The 2025 edition is particularly significant as it marks the first ICC event in Pakistan since 1996, with matches also taking place in the UAE. This edition will see the return of the Champions Trophy after an eight-year gap, having last been held in 2017.

The tournament will feature the worldโ€™s top eight ODI teams, divided into two groups of four. The top two from each group will advance to the semi-finals. The tournament is set to become a regular ICC event, held every four years.
