The ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 is the 13th edition of the Cricket World Cup, the quadrennial international men’s cricket championship contested by the top 12 teams in the world. Tournament will be hosted by India from October 5 to November 19, 2023.
The 2023 Cricket World Cup will be the first to feature 12 teams, with the addition of two new teams, Ireland and Namibia. Hence teams will be divided into two groups of six, with each team playing each other once in the group stage. As a result the top four teams from each group will progress to the knockout stage.
The knockout stage will consist of two semi-finals, a third-place playoff, and the final. semi-finals will be played on November 11 and 12, the third-place playoff will be played on November 14, and the final will be played on November 19.
