The 10th International Defence Exhibition and Seminar- IDEAS 2018 is all set to begin in Karachi today, November 27 at the Expo Centre.
The four-day event is exclusively for trade visitors and official defence delegates.
Around 262 high-level delegations from 51 countries, officials of the Defence Export Promotion Organization (DEPO) will be attending the event.

Touted as the biggest defence exhibition of the year, IDEAS 2018 will be showcasing new inventions of Pakistan’s Defence industry. Over 300 traffic policemen will be deployed around the exhibition venue.

A traffic plan has been issued to regulate direct routes for citizens to avoid any inconvenience.

IDEAS 2018 Traffic Plan
University Road will be open for traffic throughout the four-day exhibition.
Traffic from Hassan Square to the National Stadium will be closed from 7 am on November 27.
The roads from Dalmia to Karsaz and New Town will remain open.
Hassan Square Flyover will be closed.
Traffic coming from Liaquatabad will be diverted towards University Road.
To avoid traffic, motorists are advised to use Shara-e-Pakistan, Shara-e-Faisal, Rashid Minhas Road and Shaheed-e-Millat.
Heavy traffic will be banned to use the road from Nipa to Millennium Mall and Karsaz to Hassan Square.
They will be allowed to travel alternative routes from Liaqatabad no.10, Nipa Chowrangi, Millenium and Karsaz.
Parking around the Expo Centre is banned for the event.
Residents of the area will only be allowed to enter by showing their ID cards.
