In a world where technology is advancing in amazing ways, treating deadly diseases like cancer and much more, there are people who use advanced tech for stalking!
As sad as it may sound, it actually is, and it looks like Instagram just made it easier to do so!
The new update of the application, now allows new posts to show first on the newsfeed of an individual, keeping you in the loop with whats going on inside the life of the other person. However, it’s still not chronological!
New Features
Let’s start from the beginning, the March update is likely to bring new features to the platform.
1. Scheduling Content
Instagram is currently testing, using third-party platforms to schedule posts in advance. Digital content creators and businesses can use this feature to a maximum advantage to gain mileage!
2. Carousel Ads
Another focus point for the application is their Stories. For this, they are bringing carousel ads, meaning you can tap through, swipe back and forth or pause the content whenever you like.
3. Stories Alert Feature
According to rumours, the app is testing this feature as well, this means that you take a screenshot of someone’s Stories, the user will be alerted, sorry stalkers!
4. Voice & Video Calling
Wouldn’t it be better to talk to a business directly with a single tap instead of leaving many confusing messages? Instagram’s coding reveals that an unannounced, unreleased feature that will be big: voice and video messaging through the direct messages channel, according to TechCrunch!
5. Portrait Shutters for Stories
Another rumour is portrait shutters for Stories. TechCrunch may have found the next Stories shutter that could gain access to, which looks to be some sort of portrait mode. It’s being tested under the name “Focus,” and may allow people to take or create stylized portraits in-app, blurring out the background and focusing in on your subject.
6. Cinemagraph
WABetaInfo spotted a Cinemagraph feature in Instagram’s camera by using a method to unlock hidden features in the app. Though, we are not entirely sure when and if this feature will be rolled out.

7. Conversation Organisation
WABetaInfo also reported Instagram is testing the ability to ‘star’ a chat, which marks it as a favourite and/or makes it easier to find.
8. Download Your Data
Instagram appears to be considering letting users download all their data from its servers. WhatsApp – which like Instagram, is owned by Facebook – is due to implement the feature as well.
