Internet users in Karachi and other cities of Pakistan have been experiencing poor internet speed for several days. Some sources claim the slowdown is due to the installation of a firewall, but the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has not officially addressed the issue.

Sajjad Syed, Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), expects the problem to be resolved within three months. He mentioned that if WhatsApp messages arrive but images do not load, it may indicate ongoing monitoring. He explained that many countries use surveillance and firewalls, though Pakistan might be facing issues with the process. In the United States, security agents can reportedly respond to misleading content within 10 minutes.
