Apple is rumoured to be working on 3 new iPhones for 2018. Rumours suggest that they will be an iPhone X (6.1in LCD display) and X Plus (6.5-in OLED display).
RBC Capital Markets analyst Amit Daryanani has shared that Apple will reduce at least $100 from the iPhone’s price. He also said;
“The refreshed 5.8″ OLED (XI) could be priced at $899 ( $100 cheaper vs. current iPhone X) and the larger 6.5″ OLED could be priced at $999. This would effectively lower the average ASP’s but we think will drive a stronger unit growth.”
iPhone sales have slowed down globally, mainly because of the price factor, however, it looks like that the Cupertino’s tech giant has finally realized that the idea of offering a flagship like iPhone X at a skyrocketing price was not good.
MacRumors have developed a price chart for iPhone models in 2018 based on Daryanani’s research note, which is as follows;
- 6.5-inch OLED iPhone X Plus: $999
- 5.8-inch next-generation iPhone X: $899
- 6.1-inch mid-range LCD iPhone: $799
- iPhone 8 and iPhone 8 Plus: $549 and $669
- iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus: $449 and $569
- iPhone SE: $349
