The American comedy king Jeremy Mc Lellan is known to be an avid Pakistani supporter. His visit to the country earlier in the year grabbed quite the attention after he was all praises for Pakistan and its wonderful people that he spent time with.
However, this time around the biryani-loving American is in trouble with a Pakistani politician, Ayesha Gulalai who is offended by one of the tweets Mc Lellan posted on account of Halloween.
Jeremy’s tweet on Halloween
I forgot to decorate my house for Halloween so I think I’ll just hang up my Pakistani flag to scare all the neighbors.

Here’s how Ayesha Gulalai Reacted to the Joke made by Jeremy
Ayesha Gulalai didn’t like this joke and wants me to take it down. Sorry. pic.twitter.com/9ekJKEnNZ7

The tweet then quickly transformed into a social media war after others joined in on the heated debate. Not only Ayesha Gulalai’s sentiments were hurt, Pakistani Twitterati also felt it was disrespectful to use the ‘Pakistani flag’ in such a context.
As a matter of honor/ principle; we donot disgrace Flags & Founding Leaders of a nation; surely its a bad joke & u will realize it. Gud luck

That’s seems to be an “old” joke…. better replace the flag you have mentioned by U.S. flag

However, it didn’t end here and Jeremy was back again with yet another comeback! Here he points out the recent Sharmeen Obaid controversy that took Pakistan by storm in the past week.
I would send her a friend request but I hear that’s considered harassment now in Pakistan.
