JUI-F Leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed Passes Away

Former senator and senior JUI-F (Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam) leader Hafiz Hussain Ahmed has passed away, his family confirmed on Wednesday.

He passed away at his home in Quetta after fighting a kidney-related illness. Hafiz Hussain Ahmed’s family has also stated that he will be buried in his ancestral hometown, with funeral details to be announced later.

JUI-F expressed deep sorrow over his death, calling it a major loss for the party. Despite previously distancing himself due to internal disagreements, he rejoined the party in December 2022 after reconciling with Maulana Fazlur Rehman.

Hafiz Hussain Ahmed’s passing marks the end of a significant chapter in Pakistan’s religious and political sphere.
