Muhammad Zubair, Sindh Governor, has announced that construction work will be started on 2 roads, 4 mega projects, 3 flyovers, and a procurement of modern firefighting equipment.
According to the governor, these projects will cost a total cost of Rs. 2.61 billion. Other projects such as Layri Express are now complete. However, other projects like Green Line Metro and K-4 water projects have faced delay.
Zubair further shared that all metro stations from Gurumandir to New Karachi are being expected to be handed over to the Sindh Government by June. He added that 2 LNG terminals have now become operational, based in Port Qasim, whereas over $5 billion has been spent on 1,320MV power projects based in Thar.
Last but not the least, he said that the government has been working on more plans to reconstruct more projects and sites in Karachi, including road reconstruction, water storage, and sewage.
He shared his two cents about education being neglected in Sindh and that the quality has deteriorated too far down. He further explained that this is the responsibility of the political parties to keep peace and cooperate with law enforcement for the betterment of their provinces, and the country.
