The American Heart Association (AHA) has announced that Kendrick Lamar’s song Not Like Us can be used to maintain the proper rhythm for hands-on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). The news, shared via the organisation’s Instagram account on February 4, quickly went viral, prompting humourous reactions across social media.
The track, originally released on May 4, 2024, as part of Lamar’s highly publicised rap feud with Drake, has achieved significant milestones. It was streamed 1 Billion times on Spotify within three months. At the 2025 Grammy Awards, Not Like Us won multiple categories, including Song of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rap Song, Best Music Video and Best Rap Performance.
