Khadija Siddiqui, who was a victim of 23 stabbings in 2016, was part of a gun firing incident that took place just recently. Unidentified assailants opened fire on her car and then left immediately.
There is, however, a lot of investigation being done on this event and the assailants might not have too far to run now. In a difficult time like this, we hope she is able to withstand and push through.
One of the bullets went through the car of @khadijasid751 ‘s father. Khadija is Alhumdulillah safe. Just spoke to her. She was not scared at all. Sounded stronger than ever. #KhadijaTheFighter pic.twitter.com/5LytlWIqnd

Khadija Siddiqui And The Incident
She was inside the house at the time of the firing. While she was inside, she heard gunshots occurring just outside. After they were over, she came outside and saw that a bullet had hit the hood of her car. She stated that unidentified people had opened fire on her vehicle and that she was in danger. So, she contacted the authorities for a response.
She also stated that she had been attacked in 2016 by Shah Hussain. A member of Khadija Siddiqui’s legal team, Barrister Hassaan Niazi, has taken to ensure the case goes forward. He states that there was ‘Direct firing’ on her home when she was present inside. He also mentions that Khadija has been incredibly brave and strong throughout the incident.
Taking Notice
As per the response, Lahore DIG (Operations) has also taken notice of the event. He has even sent a team and promised them justice. Additionally, Punjab CM, Usman Buzdar, also took note of the incident and sought a report from the Lahore Capital city officer. People who were responsible should be brought under the arm of the law. Such incidents cannot be tolerated at any instance and the citizens must be kept safe. One cannot just open fire at someone else’s house and then expect to get away with it.
Earlier, it was found that they had released Khadija’s attacker, Shah Hussain, earlier than the sentence should have held. Instead of the original seven-year sentence, he has been released after three and a half years. We hope that the authorities are able to bring the assailants to justice so she may rest easy. However, we support her and praise her bravery throughout the incident, and hope she continues to persevere in such a time.
