It seems that the entire nation has been divided ever since a heated argument arose between Khalil ur Rehman Qamar and Mari Sirmed on national TV.
Most of the entertainment industry named the writer out for his ill-mannerism and foul mouth and have been boycotting him.
However, the writer has also garnered a lot of support from the general public who believe bold slogans such as “Mera Jism Meri Marzi” do not coincide with the teachings of Islam.
Among several celebrities who conveyed disdain on the writer’s behavior, Adnan Malik who played Khalil ur Rehman Qamar in Hum TV’s Sadqay Tumharay also opened up about playing the character of the questionable writer in the drama.
I think this sums up my views in general regarding KUQ & me playing him in Sadqay Tumhare. 🤢 https://t.co/zEQckWOgLu

Khalil ur Rehman Qamar has now opened up regarding Adnan Malik’s remarks. The writer on Bol TV blatantly slammed Adnan Malik and openly called him a “Hijra”.
He started that there are many Hijras who have entered into the entertainment industry, and even though he makes sure that his lead actors are not one, he mistakenly selected one to play his own character hinting at Sadqay Tumharay’s protagonist, Adnan Malik.
A snippet of Khalil ur Rehman’s interview on BOL is going viral and his comments were met with episodes of laughter from the audience.

To the above video, actress Armeena Rana Khan stated that while our society is demanding for equality Khalil ur Reman is insulting the transgender community
Shameful! We have people working tirelessly to eliminate transphobia from society. “Hijras” are some of the most marginalised, persecuted members of society. We are all Allah’s creations and he’s ridiculing HIS creation. I hope this abomination sees a swift downfall . Ameen.

Transgenders are still one of the most violently persecuted and marginalized communities and such people giving rise to mockeries about them simply makes the already weak community a further victim.
