Renowned writer and playwright Khalil ur Rehman has finally broken his silence on the rumors surrounding his alleged meeting with a lady. In a recent interview, he clarified that the lady in question had been contacting him for 15 to 20 days prior to their meeting, insisting on a discussion about a potential drama project.

Rehman explained that, as a writer, his work schedule is often unpredictable and flexible. He emphasized that he respects women and values their contributions, more so than those who are spreading false rumors about him.
Khalil revealed that he was misled into believing that the meeting was for a valid purpose, only to find himself in a critical situation. He explained that he was suffering from health issues, including dermatomyosis, an autoimmune disease that makes him sensitive to sunlight. This condition, combined with a past incident where he was kidnapped and beaten, resulting in swollen eyes, led to his cautious behaviour.
The writer recounted the harrowing experience, stating that when he arrived at the meeting point, the lady locked the door, and six armed men entered, taking control of him. Rehman emphasized that this was the truth and fact, contrary to rumours circulating about the incident.
Rehman also addressed the delay in filing an FIR, attributing it to the trauma he experienced. He explained that his wife encouraged him to report the incident, and he ultimately did so, standing by his commitment to respecting and valuing women.
