Exciting news for Lahore! You will now have your very own Marriot Hotel in your city by 2023.

Marriott International has formally signed an agreement with Maverick International Private Limited – also associated with Maverick Hotels of USA – to introduce a new, luxurious Marriott Hotel in none other than Lahore this time!

The hotel will be built on a site of 46,000 sq-feet and will be featuring 300-rooms and 40-suites. The site chosen is one of the most popular and posh areas of Lahore – Gulberg.

According to the plan, the five-star luxury hotel will also feature five food and beverage outlets and three specialty restaurants offering both Desi and International cuisine. As expected, it will also have a spa, a state-of-the-art fitness center, and high-tech modern meeting facilities.

You can expect to find a lavish ballroom, boardrooms, and meeting rooms around the hotel. The President and Managing Director of Middle East and Africa Marriott International – Mr. Alex Kyriakidis – also commented on the agreement, saying:

“We are delighted to work with Maverick International to open the Lahore Marriott Hotel. We continue to see a demand for our brands in Pakistan and are excited to announce our third property in the country under our flagship brand, Marriott Hotels. The site is an ideal location for our first Marriott Hotel in Lahore as it offers a convenient location with outstanding accessibility to key commercial, cultural and historical attractions in the city.”

On the other hand, Mr. Haroom Khwaja – the President and CEO of Maverick International Private Limited – is also glad and honored to welcome Marriott Hotels brand to the heart of Pakistan – Lahore.

He also commented on the agreement saying:

“With a rapidly expanding portfolio of major hotels in US and Pakistan, Maverick International is excited at the opportunity of bringing a true internationally branded five-star hotel to the second largest city of Pakistan.”

But since it’s scheduled to be launched for the public by 2023, Lahoris still got to wait for another five years to welcome a brand new, luxurious five-star hotel in the city.
