Impact on Air Quality and Fog

Islamabad’s air quality index is currently “unhealthy,” according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), with an AQI of 170. However, the rain brought by the new weather system is expected to help improve air quality, especially in Punjab, by reducing air pollution levels.

However, it is also possible that the system may intensify the fog in Punjab’s plains. Travel may be impacted and visibility may be reducedย as a result, especially in the days ahead.
