Quetta and other areas of Balochistan were hit by a moderate earthquake, causing brief panic among the residents.
According to the Seismological Centre, the tremors registered a magnitude of 3.7 on the Richter scale at 6:01 PM on Monday, with a depth of 19 kilometres. Its epicentre was located 19 kilometres west of Quetta.

Initial reports suggest that there were no casualties or property damage. However, the authorities urged the residents to remain careful in case of aftershocks.
