Following Eid-ul-Fitr, the third stage of the public school campaign is scheduled to start. All government schools with 100 or fewer kids enrolled will be sold to private owners during this phase.
The Ministry of Education has instructed District Education Officers and Heads of District Education Authorities from each of the province’s forty-three districts to compile and submit a list of schools that meet this requirement.
According to sources, a sizable portion of these schools are situated in rural communities. Some, on the other hand, are also found in cities, especially primary schools in places with low student enrollment. As soon as Eid is over, these schools will be open for privatisation.
