Even though Pakistanโs automotive sector has been going through a tough time, some automotive brands had better days compared to several others.
This fiscal year has also been quite a challenge for everyone, as sales have declined by 43.4% during the first eight months of FY19-20. There are several factors behind the drop in sales and demand.
The reason behind the drop is the rising car-prices and sky-high interest rates. So far, unfortunately, things do not seem to get any better in the upcoming days with Coronavirus leaving its print on every industry.
Moreover, the increase in imports and parts have also hiked the prices of cars, raising a question of affordability. Nonetheless, Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association (PAMA) has released reports for the performance of the auto sector in August 2020.
Comparatively, the sales have increased, showing a positive sign, and things have started to settle down once again. However, sales are still alarmingly low, and many car titans have to suffer a significant loss of revenue.
