There are a great number of artists in Pakistan. Amongst these artists are a lot of singers as well. You have Asim Azhar, Meesha Shafi, Zoe Viccaji, but there are some singers whose songs go way back and push you into nostalgia. One of those songs is Pehli Nazar by Atif Aslam.
Pehli Nazar and k-drama
Before you start humming kaisa jaadu kar diya, we have some news for you. The song by Atif Aslam is actually a copy. Have a look at the song; actually, listen to it, the music in the background.
Did it leave you glazy-eyed? Well, now, there is this South Korean drama titled, Delightful Girl Choon Hyang or Sassy Girl Choon Hyang. One of them is called Saranghaeyo. Focus on the music in the background.
Netizens disappointed
Is it not the exact same thing? Well, Netizens noticed it first. And they were disappointed to the core. As it turns out, they never imagined it to be coming from Atif.
Well, personally, this piece of news only strengthens my love for Korean music and drama considering a top Pakistani singer is copying them. But the Atif fans who probably have not been introduced to the amazingness of Korean fandom were greatly upset.
i still can’t believe pehli nazar mein was sampled off a korean song called saranghaeyo

Remember the time we were all hit by the "Pehli Nazar me kaisa jaadu kar diya" bug and were listening to it day & night imagining our crushes sing it to us. 😍 .. and then realised it is total copy of the korean song.. Boom.. Crash.😅

Well, they need to realize that it was a song for a movie. And movie songs can be composed by a number of people and not just the singer alone. So Korean or not, Atif may not be the one to blame. Moreover, even if its a copy of Korean song, why is it that bad, people?
