The Pakistan Airports Authority (PAA) has announced that the $246 million New Gwadar International Airport, including a Chinese donation, will open its doors by the end of this month. Acting DG PAA Zeeshan Saeed recently visited the site with senior officials to evaluate the status of the final preparations. Project Director Faizullah Khattak updated the team on the facility’s preparation during the visit. Furthermore, he explored commercial potential related to the airport and its adjacent economic zones.

The airport can accommodate all kinds of large aircraft because it has a huge runway and a contemporary terminal structure. It is anticipated to be crucial in improving connectivity and trade in the area, transforming Gwadar into a major commercial centre.
