Carlos Ghosn, the former automotive titan has sued both Nissan and Mitsubishi for ‘breach of contract’.
Ghosn, who is currently under house arrest, in a dutch court, has claimed that both auto giants had ended his contract under “improper termination”.
According to him, both manufacturers had breached his contract for which he is now seeking up to 15 million Euros ($16.8 million) in damages.
The former chief of Renault and Nissan is awaiting trial in Japan on the charges of financial misconduct.
Reportedly, Ghosn is accused of under-reporting millions of dollars in income at Nissan and of using company funds for personal expenses.
Previously, Renault announced it would be taking action against him after 11 million euros of “questionable expenses” linked to Ghosn came into the limelight.
