Nvidia took centre stage at CES 2025, unveiling groundbreaking technologies to expand its AI and gaming portfolios. CEO Jensen Huang introduced the Cosmos foundation models, capable of generating photo-realistic video for training robots and self-driving cars. This synthetic training data will significantly reduce costs and improve efficiency. โWe really hope [Cosmos] will do for the world of robotics and industrial AI what Llama 3 has done for enterprise AI,โ Huang said.

The company also announced its RTX 50 series gaming chips, designed to deliver movie-like graphics with advanced ‘shader’ technology, enhancing realism in video games. These chips, priced from $549 to $1,999, will roll out starting January 30, with lower-tier models in February.
Nvidiaโs first desktop computer, Project DIGITS, was also revealed. Targeting AI developers, it features Nvidiaโs advanced data centre chip and a MediaTek processor. The $3,000 desktop, running a Linux-based OS, is set to launch in March, providing developers with tools to test AI systems efficiently.
In automotive advancements, Japanโs Toyota Motor will integrate Nvidiaโs Orin chips for advanced driver assistance. Huang projects automotive revenue to climb to $5 billion by fiscal 2026, up from $4 billion expected this year.
With these innovations, Nvidia continues to solidify its position as a tech leader. Its stock closed at a record $149.43, with a valuation of $3.66 trillion, second only to Apple.
