Pakistan Set for Major Overhaul in T20I Squad for New Zealand Tour

pakistan-new-zealand-series-tickets-available-today

Big changes are coming for Pakistan cricket! With the five-match T20I series against New Zealand around the corner, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is reportedly planning a massive squad revamp.

Senior players are likely to be rested, a new captain is set to take charge, and some fresh faces could get their chance to shine.

Shadab Khan Likely to Lead a Young Squad

One of the biggest changes is at the top—Shadab Khan is expected to captain the T20I side in New Zealand. If reports are to be believed, regular white-ball captain Mohammad Rizwan, along with Babar Azam, Salman Ali Agha, and Naseem Shah, will be given a break.

Shadab, who last played in the T20 World Cup against Ireland in June 2024, now has a golden opportunity to prove his leadership skills. With the T20 World Cup 2026 not too far away, this series could be his chance to make a strong case for a permanent leadership role.

Fresh Faces and Domestic Stars in the Mix

Pakistan’s squad for this tour looks completely different from what fans are used to. The PCB is reportedly giving domestic performers a shot, and some young names have made it to the squad. Players like Mohammad Haris, Sufiyan Muqeem, Muhammad Irfan Khan, Omair Bin Yousuf, and Hassan Nawaz are among those expected to feature.

With Shaheen Shah Afridi and Haris Rauf leading the pace attack, Pakistan will still have firepower, but it’ll be interesting to see how the young guns step up.

Changes in the Coaching Staff

It’s not just the squad—Pakistan’s coaching staff is also undergoing changes. Former pacer Aqib Javed is likely to continue as interim head coach, as PCB hasn’t had time to start the recruitment process for a permanent coach.

Meanwhile, former captain Mohammad Yousuf is expected to replace Shahid Aslam as batting coach. Azhar Mahmood and Muhammad Masroor, however, are set to retain their roles as bowling and fielding coaches, respectively.

What This Means for Pakistan Cricket?

This New Zealand tour seems to be a testing ground for Pakistan. The PCB is clearly looking ahead, trying to build a strong bench by giving younger players international exposure. But will this gamble pay off? Can these fresh faces deliver in tough New Zealand conditions?

Only time will tell. But one thing is certain—Pakistan cricket is heading into a new phase, and this series could be the start of something big.

Adrien Brody Breaks Record for Longest Oscar Speech

Adrien Brody Breaks Record for Longest Oscar Speech

Adrien Brody made history at the 2025 Academy Awards by delivering the longest Oscar acceptance speech ever. The Best Actor winner spoke for five minutes and 40 seconds, breaking a record held since 1943 by British actress Greer Garson, who spoke for five minutes and 30 seconds. Despite repeatedly promising to be brief, Brody extended his speech, even asking the orchestra to stop playing. “Please, turn the music off. I’ve done this before,” he said.

The Oscars, which saw indie film ‘Anora’ win five awards, including Best Picture, ran for nearly four hours. This year’s broadcast, aired on ABC and Hulu, attracted 18.1 million viewers, marking a slight drop from last year’s 19.5 million. Live streaming on Hulu faced technical issues, causing some viewers to miss key moments.

Conan O’Brien hosted the event, earning mixed reviews. Variety called the show “successful in more ways than not,” while Indiewire described it as “one of the best Oscars telecasts in years.” However, The Hollywood Reporter found the ceremony “unstable” and “uneven”.

Brody, who starred in ‘The Brutalist,’ used his speech to thank over a dozen people, including his parents, director Brady Corbet and co-stars Guy Pearce and Felicity Jones. He also tossed his chewing gum to his girlfriend, Georgina Chapman, before taking the stage. Ending on a serious note, he said, “If the past can teach us anything, it’s a reminder to not let hate go unchecked.”

All Time Favourites: Best Telefilms of Pakistan

All Time Favourites: Best Telefilms of Pakistan

There is no doubt that the Pakistan telefilm industry has peaked in the past decade. Some of these masterpieces are still remembered for their unique storylines and top-notch acting. So if you are a drama-buff, here are the 10 best telefilms of Pakistan that you must watch, or probably have.

Humsafar- 2011

Humsafar- I am pretty sure you have heard about this one. It is arguably the best and most loved drama of the industry. Released in 2011, the drama starred Mahira Khan and Fawad Khan (yes the OG duo started from this one). This television series was based on the novel “Humsafar” by Farhat Ishtiaq. The main characters were Khirad (played by Mahira Khan) and Ashar (played by Fawad Khan).

Despite the drama having the typical poor girl and rich guy storyline, the actors somehow managed to outperform it so well that the audience was hooked. This, in addition to the chronological pattern, allowed the melodrama to prevail consistently and kept the audience invested. It was perhaps too emotional and realistic for us Pakistanis to ignore.

Khuda Aur Mohabbat – 2011

Now onto the next blockbuster, Khuda Aur Mohabbat. This exceptional drama touched the spiritual beliefs of the whole nation. It aired in 2011 and was written by Hashim Nadeem. The drama got so popular that two more sequels were released after the first one. The first season included Imran Abbas Naqvi (who played Hammad) and Sadia Khan (who played Iman) as main leads.

In the first season, the storyline revolved around a young rich guy who happened to fall for a devout girl from a conservative background. In most cases, this would have been an absurd scenario due to how different the two characters were. However, here the writer used this exact absurd situation to show the spiritual transformation of Hammad. The journey of eternal love and faith was very beautifully portrayed and that became the main reason for the success of this drama.

Meray Paas Tum Ho – 2019

Merey Paas Tum Ho- the drama that took the whole nation with a storm. If you have seen its craze while it was airing, you know what I am talking about. This 2019 Pakistani romantic melodrama was written by the very well-known Khalil-ur-rehman and starred top actors like Humayun Saeed, Ayeza Khan and Adnan Siddiqui. In the telefilm, Humayun Saeed played the character of Danish and Ayeza Khan played Mehwish. Danish was a simple middle class man who seemed to have all the qualities of an ideal husband. On the other hand, his wife Mehwish romanticised a luxurious life that Danish was unable to afford.

Soon, this lack of fulfilling material needs resulted in Mehwish being drawn in an extra marital affair with a rich millionaire named Shehwar. People seemed to sympathise a lot with Danish, and hoped for the downfall of Mehwish and Shehwar.  In addition to this, the performance of the whole cast touched the hearts of many and the realistic aspect makes you understand why it was such a massive hit.

Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum – 2024

I’ve seen the success of this drama and I can easily say that this one will go down in history. Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum is a romantic drama series, released in 2024, featuring Fahad Mustafa, Hania Amir, Emmad Irfani and Naeema Butt. This series marked the return of Fahad Mustafa on television after 10 years, perhaps why it was such a massive hit.

In the series, Fahad Mustafa played the character of Mustafa, Hania Amir played Sharjeena, Emmad Irfani played Adeel and Naeema Butt played Rubab. The storyline had the opposites attract dynamic to it, where the topper girl Sharjeena happens to marry a laid-back guy Mustafa due to certain circumstances. This marriage, which was first forced, later resulted in a slow burn romance. Eventually, people started rooting for this financially challenged yet very loyal couple. Moreover, the ending was very satisfactory and Adeel eventually gets his karma. Such relations made over material basis don’t last long and that is a lesson for all of us to take.

Parizaad – 2021

This 2022 released drama that was written by Hashim Nadeem was a new experience for the Pakistani audience. People were sick and tired of the same cliché storylines and then came Parizaad. This telefilm was not your typical Pakistani drama and showcased the journey of a kind-hearted and self-conscious young man who faces society’s harsh judgements due to his not so “good looking” and “dark toned” appearance.

What really stood out though was that despite the struggles with self-esteem, Parizaad’s sincerity and resilience were firm since the start. His transformative journey made the audience feel like they were with him throughout.

Zindagi Gulzar Hai – 2012

Another one of Fawad Khan’s masterpieces is Zindagi Gulzar Hai. This was an onscreen version of Umera Ahmed’s novel and starred Fawad Khan and Sanam Saeed as the leads. Here you could witness the enemies to lovers trope between two characters named Kashaf and Zaroon who were completely opposite. Even though at first the characters seemed to not get along well but soon they started seeing the good and each other and couldn’t help but fall in love.

This drama depicted racial and class discrimination in our society and outlined how people with different economic backgrounds can also live together if they have enough understanding.

Pyarey Afzal – 2013

This is a 2013 Pakistani romantic melodrama television serial that was written by Khalil-ur-rehman (yes he is here again). It starred Hamza Ali Abbassi and Ayeza Khan in the lead roles. This popular drama serial was an emotional roller-coaster ride. It was extremely expressive in exposing the deep reality of human relationships. And I think it’s safe to say that this drama is sure to become a classic that will be remembered for years. A story that was so heartwarming that it had the entire nation praying for its happy ending.

Alif – 2019

Alif is my personal favourite. This 2019 drama series cast Sajal Aly, Hamza Ali Abbassi and Kubra Khan as main leads. Pakistani industry probably hasn’t seen a spiritual masterpiece like this in years. The story revolves around the contrasting life of two characters named Momin and Momina, who happened to cross paths with each other due to similar careers. However, both immediately developed a strong dislike for one another. However, it was this dislike that gave them a chance to try and understand each other.

The spiritual journey of Momin reflected the journey every Muslim goes through at one point in their life and how beautiful of an experience it is. From Sufism and theatrical touch; you name it and the drama serves you that.

Shehr-e-Zaat – 2012

Shehr-e-Zaat is a 2012 Pakistani spiritual romantic drama serial based on the novel of Umera Ahmad. The drama series starred the very well known Mahira Khan. It features the journey of a young woman as she strives to make up for all the time she has lost in worldly pursuits and finally give in to Allah’s will.  Shehr-e-Zaat showcased the reality of the temporary world and urged the watchers to work on their spiritual aspects before it’s too late.

Bin Roye – 2015

This is a 2015 Pakistani drama that starred Humayun Saeed and Mahira Khan. It is based on the original novel of Farhat Ishtiaq and centres the life of Saba Shafiq who had a secret crush on her cousin Irtaza. However, the feelings weren’t mutual and Irtiza later on married Saba’s elder sister. This resulted in Saba hating her own sister and despising her so much that she wished death upon her. This later becomes the truth and the sister dies in a car accident. The drama then portrayed what the outcome of jealousy and envy is, and how remorseful the situation can get.

The Pakistani entertainment industry has given us some treasured gems. The above are some of the best telefilms of Pakistan that you need to watch right now if you haven’t.

Petrol Dealers Call Off Strike Across Pakistan

Petrol Dealers Call Off Strike Across Pakistan

The Petrol Dealers Association has decided not to go on strike across Pakistan starting tomorrow. The decision came after a meeting between the association’s delegation and Petroleum Minister Musadik Malik. Following the discussions, the dealers withdrew their strike plan.

The association confirmed that there would be no change in the profit margin for petrol pump dealers. The meeting was also attended by the Chairman of OGRA and officials from the Petroleum Division. Meanwhile, petroleum dealers strongly opposed the government’s proposal to deregulate fuel prices.

Sources revealed that the input of the Dealers Association will be fully considered in the deregulation process. The association had previously expressed concerns that deregulation could increase the sale of smuggled Iranian oil and non-standard fuel in Pakistan. They also argued that deregulation would affect billions of rupees in investments made by petroleum dealers.

Federal Minister Musadik Malik also addressed reports about the sale of 15% of Reko Diq shares to Saudi Arabia. He denied these reports, stating that the federal cabinet has not approved the sale and that no deal has been finalised. However, he confirmed that talks with Saudi Arabia are ongoing in a positive manner.

World Wildlife Day: Top 10 Endangered Species in Pakistan

Source: Britanica

Each year, on 3rd March, the world unites to mark World Wildlife Day, first initiated by the United Nations in 2013 as a global movement to promote awareness of endangered animals and conserve them. Pakistan, with its richly diverse ecologies that move from mountains to seashores, has an array of wildlife, many of whom are now on the brink of extinction with the loss of habitats, climate change and hunting.

Endangered Species in Pakistan

Some of the most threatened species in Pakistan include:

Indus River Dolphin

Found in the Indus River, this rare freshwater dolphin is one of the few remaining river dolphin species in the world. It is endangered due to water pollution, habitat fragmentation from dams and barrages, and accidental entanglement in fishing nets. Conservation efforts such as relocation programmes and protected areas have helped stabilise their population, but more needs to be done.

Snow Leopard

Native to the Karakoram and Himalayan mountains of Gilgit-Baltistan, the rare snow leopard faces threats from poaching for its fur and bones, loss of prey species and human-wildlife conflict as local farmers retaliate against livestock attacks. Conservation programmes, including community-based initiatives and habitat protection, aim to mitigate these challenges.

Markhor

Pakistan’s national animal, this wild goat is famous for its distinctive twisted horns. Found in the northern and western mountainous regions, it has been hunted for trophies and meat, but conservation efforts—including regulated trophy hunting programmes that benefit local communities—have helped its numbers recover slightly.

Houbara Bustard

Houbara Bustard is a migratory bird that travels to Pakistan from Central Asia during the winter. It is frequently hunted for falconry, especially by foreign dignitaries. Conservationists have urged stronger regulations to protect its dying population, while breeding and release programmes are also being explored.

Asian Black Bear

The Asian Black Bear is at risk due to deforestation and illegal capture for use in bear-baiting and traditional medicine. Found in the forests of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Azad Jammu & Kashmir, conservationists emphasise the need for forest protection and stricter laws against wildlife trade.

Balochistan Forest Dormouse

A lesser-known but critically endangered rodent species that resides in the forests of Balochistan is the Dormouse. Its biggest threat is habitat loss due to deforestation and climate change, and, unfortunately, there is very little conservation action currently in place.

Green Turtle

Found along Pakistan’s coastal areas, especially in Sindh and Balochistan, these turtles are threatened by marine pollution, poaching for their eggs and destruction of nesting sites due to human activity. Conservationists have set up protected nesting zones and community awareness programmes to safeguard their future.

Fishing Cat

The fishing cat is a rare and elusive wild cat species found in wetlands and riverine forests of Pakistan. Due to urban expansion and wetland destruction, its habitat is shrinking rapidly. Protection of wetland ecosystems and stricter conservation policies are essential to ensure its survival.

Pangolin

Hunted for its scales, which are used in traditional medicine, the Indian pangolin is one of the most trafficked mammals in the world. Found in forests and grasslands of Pakistan, efforts to combat wildlife trafficking and create protected reserves are crucial to its conservation.

Chiltan Wild Goat

Endemic to Balochistan’s Chiltan mountain range, this species is at risk due to habitat degradation, overgrasing and illegal hunting. Conservationists have established protected areas and community-led initiatives to help preserve its population.

Conservation of Pakistan’s wildlife demands a multi-faceted approach. Strengthened anti-poaching legislations, habitat protection schemes and awareness programmes are needed. Promoting eco-tourism and community-led conservation can also enable locals to gain from conservation over exploitation.

What is Being Done?

Organisations such as WWF-Pakistan and the Sindh Wildlife Department are involved in conservation efforts such as dolphin rescue operations and turtle nesting programmes. The government has also set up protected areas such as the Hingol National Park and Khunjerab National Park to protect endangered species. Enforcing wildlife protection laws is still weak, with a need for greater government and public commitment.

World Wildlife Day reminds everyone that Pakistan’s rich biodiversity is something worth combatting. Everything counts—everything matters—to get to a place where these creatures can flourish.

If the Youth Can't Win the Cricket World Cup, the Over 50s Will
If the Youth Can't Win the Cricket World Cup, the Over 50s Will

Recently, the nation faced a huge disappointment when Pakistan was driven out from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 despite the country being the host. Pakistan is a nation obsessed with cricket and when we lose, in tournaments as big as the ICC Champions Trophy, it saddens everyone.

However, with the youth losing face this year, the Pakistan Over-50s team has proven that there is perhaps still hope for cricket in this country.

The Pakistan Over-50s veterans cricket team has officially lifted the IMC Over 50s Cricket World Cup that was held in Colombo, Sri Lanka from 9th to 23rd February 2025.

The Nail-Biting Match Against India

Like every other Pakistan-Indian match, this one too was particularly nail-biting and the result was decided on the penultimate ball. While the Pakistan National Cricket Team brutally lost against India in the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, the Veteran Team showed great resilience, determination and teamwork to claim their victory in the IMC Over 50s World Cup.

Recognition and Heroic Return

After Pakistan gloriously won the Grand Final defeating Sri Lanka, a lavish closing ceremony and dinner was hosted later in the evening. The ceremony was attended by players from all 14 participating countries, several former Sri Lankan Test cricketers, PVCA Chairman Fawad Ijaz Khan, former Pakistan Test captain Moin Khan and Nadeem Omar, owner of Quetta Gladiators.

When the players finally came back victorious to Lahore, Karachi and Islamabad, they were greeted with immense pride and admiration from fans and well-wishers.

These men are proof that cricket is still alive and thriving in the country; we just need to look the right way.

Congratulations to the champions!

“Virat Kohli is Zero Compared to Babar Azam”

virat-kohli-or-babar-azam-imad-wasim-picks-favorite-kohli-babar-in-one-team-afro-asia-cup-could-make-it-happen-mohammad-amir-no-icc-odi-cricketer-of-the-year-mohsin-khan

The Babar Azam vs. Virat Kohli debate just got a fiery new twist! Former Pakistan head coach Mohsin Khan has made a bold statement, calling Kohli a “zero” in comparison to Babar. Yes, you read that right—zero.

His remarks have already set social media on fire, with fans from both sides jumping into the debate. But Mohsin insists that the real problem isn’t the comparison—it’s the state of Pakistan cricket.

“Pakistan Cricket is Completely Ruined”

While speaking in an interview, Mohsin didn’t hold back. He expressed deep disappointment over Pakistan’s recent struggles, blaming a lack of planning, strategy, and merit-based selections.

“The real problem is that Pakistan cricket is completely ruined. There is no planning, strategy, merit, or accountability.”

Read More: Ahmed Shehzad Blasts PCB After Pakistan’s Champions Trophy Exit

According to him, personal interests and favoritism have hurt the team. He recalled his time as chief selector, claiming that during his tenure, he always picked players based on merit.

“As long as recommendations are involved, anyone can be selected for the team. When I was the chief selector, I made selections with the grace of Allah, always choosing the best possible team.”

Babar Azam’s Recent Struggles

Babar, once the backbone of Pakistan’s batting, is going through a rough patch. His last century came against Nepal in August 2023, and since then, the big scores have dried up.

Now, opening the innings in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025 and the recent tri-series, he has failed to make an impact.

Read More: Umar Akmal’s Emotional Confession: ‘I Don’t Want My Son to Play Cricket

His scores—10, 23, 29, 64, and 23—have left fans frustrated. Critics are starting to question whether the pressure of captaincy and constant comparisons are affecting his game.

Babar Azam- Virat Kohli Comparison – Necessary or Unfair?

Mohsin’s “zero” remark will definitely spark reactions, but does it really hold weight? Kohli, a proven match-winner, has achieved greatness over the years. Babar, while immensely talented, is still navigating his journey.

Rather than debating who is better, perhaps the focus should be on helping Babar regain his best form. Pakistan cricket needs its star batter back in full flow.

What’s your take on Mohsin Khan’s statement? Is the comparison fair, or is it just another unnecessary debate?

‘If You’re Really That Good…’ Saqlain Mushtaq Challenges India for Series vs Pakistan

pakistan-stance-after-india-champions-trophy-refusal-fusion-formula-pcb-to-release-additional-champions-trophy-2025-tickets-sarfaraz-ahmed-saqlain-mushtaq

The India-Pakistan cricket rivalry never fails to spark debates, and this time, former Pakistan spinner Saqlain Mushtaq has added fuel to the fire.

He’s challenged India to a full-fledged series—10 Tests, 10 ODIs, and 10 T20Is—if they truly believe they are the superior team. It’s a bold statement, but one that resonates with many Pakistan cricket fans.

“Let’s Settle This on the Field”

Speaking on the matter, Saqlain acknowledged India’s recent dominance but questioned whether their superiority would hold up in a long-format series against Pakistan.

“If we keep politics aside, their players are very good, and they have been playing good cricket. But if you are really a good team, then let’s play 10 Tests, 10 ODIs, and 10 T20Is against Pakistan. That would settle everything.”

Read More: Ahmed Shehzad Blasts PCB After Pakistan’s Champions Trophy Exit

His remarks came after Pakistan’s six-wicket defeat to India in the ICC Men’s Champions Trophy 2025—a match that reignited discussions about the supposed one-sided nature of the rivalry. Many fans, particularly in India, argue that Pakistan no longer poses a serious challenge.

Can Pakistan Compete?

Saqlain Mushtaq believes that Pakistan has the talent to match India, but only if the team focuses on proper preparation.

“If we get our preparation right and set things in the right direction, we will be in a position to give solid answers to the world and India as well.”

It’s a fair point. Pakistan has shown flashes of brilliance in ICC events, but inconsistency has often been their downfall. The lack of bilateral cricket between the two teams due to political tensions hasn’t helped, either.

Read More: Umar Akmal’s Emotional Confession: ‘I Don’t Want My Son to Play Cricket

Their last full series was back in 2012-13, and since then, they’ve only clashed in ICC tournaments and the Asia Cup.

Will India Accept the Challenge?

Realistically, a 10-match series in all three formats is a long shot. The India-Pakistan cricket relationship is dictated by diplomacy more than sport.

But Saqlain’s challenge does make one wonder: how would Pakistan fare if given the chance to play consistently against one of the best teams in the world?

For now, though, fans will have to settle for ICC and Asia Cup encounters. Whether India responds to Saqlain’s challenge or not, one thing is certain—this debate isn’t dying down anytime soon.

Umar Akmal’s Emotional Confession: ‘I Don’t Want My Son to Play Cricket’

umar akmal

Cricket runs in the blood of Umar Akmal, having served Pakistan along with his two brothers, Kamran and Adnan, but surprisingly, he doesn’t want his son to follow in his footsteps.

In a video making rounds on social media, the former Pakistan cricketer was seen training in the nets with his son, who dreams of becoming a cricketer. But despite his son’s passion, Akmal made it clear—he doesn’t want him to pursue a career in cricket.

His reason? The injustice his family allegedly faced.

“I Don’t Want Him to Play Cricket”

Umar Akmal, who has played 16 Tests, 121 ODIs, and 84 T20Is for Pakistan, got emotional while opening up about his fears.

“He is my son, and he is very passionate about cricket, but if I share my honest opinion, I don’t want him to play cricket—as you know, it is Pakistan.”

That statement alone speaks volumes. We all know Umar Akmal’s career has been controversial.

From on-field performances to off-field issues, his journey has been anything but smooth. And now, it seems his past struggles have left a lasting impact—so much so that he wants to shield his son from the same fate.

“I Will Support Him, But…”

Despite his concerns, Akmal isn’t going to crush his son’s dreams. He made it clear that while he doesn’t want him to become a cricketer, he won’t stand in his way either.

“Since it is his passion, I would go all out to support him. But at the same time, I made him promise that his first priority should remain his studies, then cricket.”

It’s an interesting contrast—many cricketers openly encourage their kids to take up the sport, but Akmal’s past experiences have made him wary. He doesn’t want history to repeat itself.

Before ending, Umar Akmal had a simple request for his fans: “Kindly pray for him to succeed, and if the Pakistan Cricket Board wants, then he can play.”

It’s a bittersweet statement. On one hand, he’s cautious. On the other hand, he still hopes his son gets a fair chance.

Itikaf, observed during the last ten days of Ramadan, involves seclusion in a mosque for dedicated worship and prayer. This spiritual practice follows the example of Prophet Muhammad (Peace Be Upon Him) and helps believers strengthen their connection with Allah, away from daily distractions.

The practice will begin on Ramadan 20 (March 20) and continue until the end of the holy month. With Ramadan starting on March 1, thousands of worshippers are expected to participate in Itikaf at both holy mosques.

Elon Musk Welcomes His 14th Child With Shivon Zilis

Elon Musk Welcomes His 14th Child With Shivon Zilis

Elon Musk and Shivon Zilis have welcomed their fourth child together, a son named Seldon Lycurgus. Zilis shared the news on X on Feb. 28, describing their son as “built like a juggernaut, with a solid heart of gold.” She didn’t reveal his birth date but expressed her deep love for him. Musk responded to her post with a simple heart emoji.

Musk and Zilis secretly welcomed twins, Strider and Azure, in 2021, just weeks before Musk and musician Grimes had a daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl, via surrogate. In February 2024, Musk and Zilis had their third child, Arcadia, who just turned one. Zilis celebrated her daughter’s birthday with a heartfelt post on X.

Musk and Grimes, who share three children — X Æ A-12, Exa Dark Sideræl and Techno Mechanicus (Tau) — have worked through family dynamics with Zilis. In 2023, Grimes posted about their blended family, and Zilis responded warmly, saying she respected Grimes and looked forward to future playdates.

Musk’s expanding family also includes his children with ex-wife Justine Wilson: twins Vivian and Griffin, and triplets Kai, Saxon and Damian. Sadly, their first child, Nevada Alexander, passed away at 10 weeks old.

Recently, author Ashley St. Clair revealed that she and Musk had a son, R.S.C., five months ago. She kept the news private to protect her child’s safety but decided to share it after media speculation. A judge has now ordered Musk to appear at a custody hearing on May 29.

Musk, now a father of 14, continues to navigate complex family dynamics while remaining actively involved in his children’s lives.

Samsung Launches New Galaxy A-Series Phones: A26, A36 and A56

Samsung Launches New Galaxy A-Series Phones: A26, A36 and A56

Samsung has eventually made One UI 7 widely available, though not in software updates—through the release of three new Galaxy A-series smartphones. The A26, A36 and A56 are the first mid-rangers to ship with One UI 7, delivering the latest Android 15 experience at no cost to a flagship upgrade.

New Devices, Old Tricks

Samsung has officially unveiled the Galaxy A56, A36, and A26 in an event held on March 2, and the phones are expected to hit the US market by March 26.

Common features in these phones will include:

  • 6.7-inch FHD+ 120Hz screens for a silky smooth experience
  • 5,000 mAh battery on every model for extended use throughout the day
  • IP67 water and dust rating, so they are tougher than many others in their class

Camera & Performance Breakdown

The main distinction between these phones is the camera and processing capabilities:

Galaxy A56 ($499, launching later this year): 50MP primary, 12MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro and a 12MP front camera. It will pack Exynos 1580 and 8GB RAM.

Galaxy A36 ($399, March 26): 50MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, 5MP macro and a 12MP front camera. It is equipped with Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 and 6GB RAM.

Galaxy A26 ($299, March 28): 50MP primary, 8MP ultra-wide, 2MP macro and a 13MP front camera. It is rumoured to be powered by Exynos 1380 with 6GB of RAM.

Storage is default at 128GB on all models, but with probable microSD expansion.

One UI 7: The Silent Rollout

While Samsung keeps mum about the rollout of One UI 7 for current devices, these mid-range smartphones are an alternate point of entry. With six years of OS and security updates, these smartphones give long-term support to consumers who do not want to break the bank with the flagship Galaxy S25 series.

Oscars 2025: Here's What the Stars Wore at Hollywood's Biggest Night

There is no doubt that Oscar’s night is the biggest night in Hollywood. Studded with stars from every corner, this event is where all the fun begins. Oscar 2025 was no different. On Sunday, March 2, when the Oscars red carpet officially opened, it wasn’t just a big moment for the movie geeks who were eager to know who would win big but also for the fashion police who waited for the stars to pose.

“Who are you wearing?” a question made famous by Joan Rivers in the 90s is still an integral part of the Oscars to this day. From photographers to hosts, everyone wants to know who are the biggest stars wearing, after all, the Academy Awards red carpet acts as the world’s most viewed runway.

This year’s red carpet was yet another treat for the eyes. From playful prints to monochromatic looks, it literally had everything. So, let’s take a look at the most outstanding looks from Oscars 2025.

Timothee Chalamet in Custom Givenchy

The A Complete Unknown star was seen rocking a custom butter yellow leather Givenchy traditional tuxedo or demure suite. The colourful double breasted ensemble complete with the monochromatic matching silk shirt with a bejeweled closure at the neck, felt fresh—especially with details like a forgone belt and sleek loafers.

Sure, the tailoring might not be everyone’s ideal pick, but you have to admire Chalamet’s willingness to take a risk and deliver something different.

Selena has gone for darker colours this season but not for the Academy Awards. Gomez flipped the coin with an off the shoulder dress, embellished with 16,000 glass droplets and Rosemont crystals—affixed by hand by 12 skilled artisans. The Ralph Lauren team airbrushed the glass to create a pink Ombre finish that made Gomez sparkle from a distance.

Gomez paired the stunning dress with Bvlgari platinum collar necklace with a 10-carat pear cut diamond drop pendant along with diamond earrings and rings.

Demi Moore in Giorgio Armani

The forever glamorous Demi Moore stuck to her signature true glam, wearing the beautiful Armani Prive silver sequenced gown, featuring a plunging bodice and floor-length train. Moore looked every bit iconic with her signature flowing dark hair spilling over one shoulder. She paired the dress with diamond-encrusted cuff and earrings by Chopard and kept the makeup minimal.

FIFA Lifts Ban on Pakistan Football Federation

FIFA Lifts Ban on Pakistan Football Federation

After successful constitutional amendments, FIFA lifted the suspension on the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF). The decision, made on March 2, 2025, restores Pakistan’s right to participate in international football competitions.

“The Bureau of the FIFA Council decided to lift the suspension imposed on the PFF on February 6, 2025,” FIFA stated on Sunday. The suspension ended after the PFF Congress unanimously approved the FIFA- and AFC-validated constitution, meeting FIFA’s requirements.

Shahid Khokhar, a member of the PFF Normalisation Committee, confirmed this news. “The suspension was lifted after the successful outcome of the PFF Extraordinary Congress on February 27. We thank FIFA and AFC for their support and congratulate the Pakistan football community,” he said.

With full membership rights restored, Pakistan Football Federation teams can now compete internationally. The suspension had blocked Pakistan from entering the AFC Asian Cup qualifiers, but with the ban lifted, the federation must quickly arrange for the upcoming match against Syria this month.

FIFA initially suspended Pakistan after Congress members rejected the proposed amendments, which aimed to ensure a fair election process. After reconsideration in a follow-up meeting on February 27, the amendments passed, clearing the way for reinstatement.

This decision marks a fresh start for Pakistan football, with players and fans hopeful for a stronger future on the international stage.
