Just when Islamabad United fans were gearing up for the big PSL 10 opener, they were hit with an unexpected twist.
Alex Carey, the reliable Australian wicketkeeper-batter, has pulled out of the tournament—hours before United’s first game against Lahore Qalandars at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Carey was signed as a partial replacement for South Africa’s Rassie van der Dussen, who hasn’t landed in Pakistan yet.
While fans were waiting to see at least someone from that duo in red, Islamabad United’s camp confirmed the bad news—Carey won’t be coming at all.
And just like that, Islamabad’s depth chart takes a hit before a single ball is bowled. He’s not just a skilled batter; he’s one of those guys who keeps calm when the pressure cooker is whistling. His presence could’ve made a difference, especially with younger players looking for someone steady in the middle order.
Islamabad United will now have to shuffle their plans, maybe even their batting order, as they go into their title defense with one less experienced head.
While Carey’s exit is a blow, there’s a silver lining—Rassie van der Dussen is expected to join the squad soon.
That’s a big boost. Rassie is known for his reliability and consistency, especially in white-ball cricket. His inclusion could give United the balance they desperately need after Carey’s withdrawal.
Despite this early hiccup, the show goes on. The 10th season of the Pakistan Super League kicks off with a bang tonight in Rawalpindi.
Here’s How United is Shaping Up Without Carey:
Shadab Khan (captain), Matthew Short, Naseem Shah, Imad Wasim, Azam Khan, Jason Holder, Ben Dwarhuis, Salman Ali Agha, Haider Ali, Andries Gous, Colin Munro, Muhammad Nawaz, Rumman Raees, Salman Irshad, Hunain Shah, Saad Masood, Riley Meredith, and Rassie van der Dussen (expected soon).

Pakistan’s Noor Zaman Wins Inaugural Squash Championship
In a thrilling display of resilience and talent, Pakistan’s Noor Zaman emerged victorious at the inaugural Under-23 World Squash Championship, held at the prestigious DHA Creek Club in Karachi. Facing Egypt’s Karim El Turky in a nail-biting five-set final, Zaman secured a 3-2 win that reignited hopes of a squash revival in a country once known as the sport’s powerhouse.
A Hard-Fought Victory
The last was a demonstration of grit and calm, with the two players taking each other to the extreme. Zaman, attributing his victory to persistent hard work and God’s benevolence, fought through tense rallies and momentum changes to seize the gold medal and a $5,250 award. His opponent, El Turky, took with him the silver medal and a $3,450 prize, as respect for his perseverance.

This victory is a watershed moment in Zaman’s burgeoning career and is a strong declaration that Pakistan’s squash legacy—constructed by icons such as Jahangir Khan and Jansher Khan—is not forgotten at all.
Egypt Overwhelms the Women’s Final
In the women’s competition, Egypt’s highest seeded Fairooz Aboulkheir provided a dominant performance, beating Hong Kong’s Chan Sin Yuk in straight sets (3-0) to take the crown. Aboulkheir’s dominance testified to Egypt’s continued dominance of international squash, while Chan took a well-deserved silver.
The win generated waves of euphoria nationwide. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif tweeted about Zaman’s win, hailing it as a moment to be proud of for the country. “God willing, Pakistan will regain its lost glory in squash,” he said. President Asif Ali Zardari concurred, applauding Zaman’s consistency in the tournament.
Pakistan’s Noor Zaman Wins Inaugural Squash Championship
A Revival on Home Soil
Organising the first U23 World Squash Championship itself was a significant achievement. Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah, in the closing ceremony, welcomed the tournament as Pakistan’s moment of pride and reiterated the government’s patronage for young sportspersons. The championship was organised with the joint efforts of the Pakistan Squash Federation, Sindh government, DHA, and the Pakistan Air Force.
With young heroes such as Noor Zaman spearheading the attack, Pakistan’s squash resurgence not only appears feasible—but inevitable.

PSL 10: Islamabad United to Face Lahore Qalandars Today
As the Pakistan Super League (PSL) approaches its historic 10th season, the tournament could not have been given a better launch. The three-time winners Islamabad United will face two-time champions Lahore Qalandars in PSL 10 opening fixture at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium—a stadium famous for high-scoring thrillers and electric environments.
PSL X: Islamabad United to Face Lahore Qalandars Today
A Fierce Rivalry: Head-to-Head Stats
In more than 19 meetings, Islamabad United is ahead of Lahore Qalandars 10-9. Both teams have made history in the performances in the rivalry, with Fakhar Zaman (498 runs) and Shadab Khan (22 wickets) becoming the dominant players in the clash. Islamabad’s top score against Lahore is 238, and Lahore in return has made a best of 226. The wars have often gone in favour of the team batting first, although Islamabad has chased six scores successfully as well.
Islamabad United: Firepower and Confidence
Following their title-winning season in 2024, Islamabad United is full of confidence. Skipper Shadab Khan has a team full of seasoned stars and emerging players. T20 veteran Colin Munro heads their top order, with Sahibzada Farhan, the top run-getter of 2025 National T20 Cup with 605 runs at a 189+ strike rate, offering a big middle-order push.
With Azam Khan’s fearsome death-overs power (strike rate 252 last season), Islamabad’s batting attack can kill even the most potent bowling lines. Their pace attack is equally strong—Naseem Shah returns from injury to spearhead the team with brother Hunain, ably supported by overseas pacers Riley Meredith and Ben Dwarshuis.

Lahore Qalandars: Time to Bounce Back
Lahore Qalandars were forgettable in PSL 2024, finishing last on the table. But with consecutive titles in 2022 and 2023, they’ve proved they can bounce back under pressure. Skipper Shaheen Afridi, who took 15 wickets against Islamabad, is still their leader. Haris Rauf and Zaman Khan—deadly around Rawalpindi—are a strong fast bowling contingent.
With the bat, Fakhar Zaman will try to reach 500 runs against Islamabad. Even out of touch in recent times, he has a strike rate of more than 160 at Rawalpindi. New recruits such as Kusal Perera bring variation, while David Wiese’s death overs consistency provides Lahore with a finisher few teams can equal.
Rawalpindi Conditions: Bat First or Chase?
With good carry, bounce, and short boundaries, Rawalpindi assures runs. Fast bowlers will relish early swing, but as batters settle in, it becomes a heaven for stroke-makers. Dew could creep in for the second innings, benefiting the chasing team—a tactical consideration captains will keep in mind at the toss.
Players to Watch
Shadab Khan (ISL): All-round danger with 313 runs & 22 wickets against Lahore.
Fakhar Zaman (LQ): Requires 2 runs to reach 500 vs ISL.
Sahibzada Farhan (ISL): 3 centuries in current T20 Cup.
Shaheen Afridi (LQ): Game-changer for new ball.
David Wiese (LQ): 200+ strike rate for PSL death overs.
PSL 10 starts on a heavyweight note that promises to define the season. Islamabad United would like to etch their history by winning a fourth title, while Lahore Qalandars look for redemption. Star-studded teams, electric environment, and conditions aplenty for drama—cricket fans are in for a night to remember.

2026 Subaru Outback will Debut Next Week: What to Expect?
The Subaru Outback is on the cusp of its seventh generation, and the unveiling is imminent—April 16 at the New York Auto Show. Thirty years of combining wagon utility with SUV toughness are about to give way to a major change that better reflects current crossover trends in the 2026 Outback.
Spy photos and rumours indicate that the new Outback will drift further away from its station wagon heritage. It’s likely to adopt a form more similar to the Forester or Ascent, with a more upright, chunkier shape. The change is a little sad for enthusiasts of the Outback’s distinctive styling, which has long distinguished it from the SUV pack. But in an industry more and more fixated on traditional crossovers, the change makes business sense.
2026 Subaru Outback will Debut Next Week: What to Expect?
What’s Under the Hood?
Under the new bodywork, Subaru promises a safer, roomier, and more technologically advanced vehicle. Although the existing duo of four-cylinder engines—one naturally aspirated and one turbocharged—is likely to return, the real news is the introduction of the Outback Hybrid. Called the “e-Boxer,” this configuration pairs a 2.5L gas engine with two electric motors, a CVT, and Subaru’s trademark symmetrical all-wheel drive. Anticipated output? Around 194 horses, with a perceptible increase in low-speed torque and economy, perhaps cutting consumption by as much as 2L/100 km.
But don’t look for a complete hybrid range just yet. Subaru will probably provide only a single hybrid model in Canada, and it could be at the top of the line in price.
The Outback Wilderness trim will also return, retaining its off-road niceties: heavier cladding, lifted suspension, off-road tires, and dual-mode X-MODE for improved traction on rough terrain. For off-road enthusiasts, it’s still the go-to.
Source: Carscoop
One question mark remains—will Subaru continue to produce Canadian-market Outbacks in Indiana, or might supply revert back to Japan if U.S. trade tensions continue? The answer could come next week at the formal reveal.
For the moment, the 2026 Outback is forming as a refined upgrade of an old favorite—tipping toward contemporary tastes yet still giving a nod to its go-anywhere heritage. Be a weekend warrior or a Monday-to-Friday commuter, and this might just be Subaru’s most appealing Outback to date.

The Krrish franchise is one of the most successful superhero Bollywood franchises of all time. Krrish 4 is an upcoming sequel of the series that is in the making as we speak. And the best part is: it might have the OG cast in it, too. Today’s kids won’t understand how big this is!
Early 2000s Bollywood nostalgia? Sign us up!
Hrithik Finally Reuniting With the OG Cast
On to the best part, the cast. Many inside reports are suggesting that Hrithik Roshan will be uniting with his OG Krrish cast. Yes, that means the “koi mil gaya” actress Preity Zinta and “Fashion” superstar Priyanka Chopra Jonas will likely be seen together on the screen. Allegedly! There are also speculations that Vivek Oberoi and Rekha will also be joining the cast and reprising their roles.
Preity Zinta and Priyanka Chopra
Neither of these names is confirmed yet, but hints suggest a high likelihood that this information is true. Let’s take Hrithik’s own words for example. Just recently Hrithik revealed that he met Priyanka and Nick Jonas on his USA tour. “Last night I was with Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra. We were watching his Broadway show, which is by the way, brilliant”, said the actor. This has led to fans speculating that Priyanka is reprising her role in Krrish 4 especially as she is making her comeback to Indian cinema.
In an other latest update, it has been confirmed that Hrithik Roshan will be playing a triple role in Krrish 4. This is something that will add a new dimension to his already iconic character.
Moreover, the film’s concept has undergone a significant evolution, and there is news that the storyline may have been inspired by a popular Hollywood film End Game. There is also speculation that Nora Fatehi will be joining the movie’s cast as a new character. Talk about budget.
Oh and the biggest news from this film’s making is: Hrithik Roshan will simultaneously be making his directorial debut too. Produced by Indian studio Yash Raj Films, led by Aditya Chopra, Hrithik will produce the tentpole in association with franchise creator Rakesh Roshan. Rakesh Roshan broke this news through an Instagram post.
He wrote, “Duggu, 25yrs back I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers Aditya Chopra & myself to take forward our most ambitious film #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar with good wishes and blessings.”
Krrish is One of the Most Successful Superhero Franchise
The Krrish franchise, Bollywood’s pioneering superhero saga headlined by Hrithik Roshan, remains one of the industry’s most ambitious and enduring cinematic gambits. Launched in 2003 with “Koi… Mil Gaya” — a sci-fi tearjerker that married Spielbergian wonder with Indian emotions — the series hit full throttle with 2006’s Krrish and 2013’s Krrish 3, establishing Roshan’s masked crusader as India’s answer to Superman with a side of melodrama.
The films have walked a tightrope between VFX spectacle and myth-laced storytelling, with shape-shifting villains, telekinetic battles, and moral undertones wrapped in Bollywood bombast.

Rifah Qadri on Why Marketing is the Essence of Every Business
Have you ever wondered what the world would be like if marketing did not exist? Will it be any different, or is marketing simply overrated? The truth is, the world that you see today would cease to exist without marketing. Without marketing, no product will ever evolve to great heights; in fact, you might not ever hear about them. In its very essence, marketing is like oxygen; if no one knows you exist, does anything else really matter?
When you strip everything else, marketing is basically the business of memories. Do you remember the OG Dairy Milk AD? Kitna maza aya ray, dunya dairy milk ki ban jai, dairy milk ki gari, dairy milk ki road? What is it about the ad that makes it so memorable? Perhaps the lyrics, or the unforgettable tune or the super cute animation? Well, whatever it was, it is the perfect example of an advertisement, as memorable as they come.
Each advertisement, no matter how small it might seem, always has so much thought put into it so that even after years when you are talking about a product, you recall it right away! Behind these ideas are minds full of creativity and a knack for advertising. Recently, Brandsynario got a chance to interview one such mind- Rifah Qadri.
Rifah is currently the Executive Director of Marketing and Corporate Communications at Easypaisa. With 18 years of marketing experience across various industries, she has received notable accolades, including the Courageous Client Award at the Caples Awards in the UK and the Red Dragon Leader of the Year Award at Dragons of Pakistan. She is a passionate advocate for purpose-driven marketing.
Brandsynario: Let’s start with where it all began; what inspired you to pursue a career in marketing, especially one that not only promotes business but also inspires social change?
Rifah Qadri: It all began at a very young age. As a child, I would watch advertisements and only eat food while I was watching them. My love for creating something for brands has been with me since then. My dad owned a business exporting rice, and I was always intrigued by his marketing strategies. I was curious about the packaging and how he promoted the business. This early exposure fueled my long-standing interest in branding. I’ve also been really drawn to big brands, fascinated by how they created their advertisements and who was involved in making them. I was a curious child and continued to be a curious teenager, eager to learn more about the world of marketing and advertising.
Brandsynario: Any specific ad from your childhood that you remember till this date?
Rifah Qadri: Dentonic. That ad had an animated monkey that would emerge from the billboard when a car accident occurred. That was my favourite ad as a child; I found it hilarious.
Brandsynario: How did you get into the advertising industry?
Rifah Qadri: I began my career 18 years ago as a management trainee, initially working in B2B marketing. My first role involved participating in the marketing of Soda Ash, which is also in the B2B sector. At that entry-level position, my work primarily focused on analysis and market research rather than traditional marketing tasks.
Later, I joined a cement company called Maple Leaf. This was my first real exposure to a marketing environment where I was responsible for giving the cement a ‘personality.’ However, things became particularly exciting when I joined Foodpanda in 2020. At that time, they weren’t doing much marketing, and I had the opportunity to help shape their direction. I led the brand and marketing strategy department and was responsible for creating their tagline, “Foodpanda Karo,” along with my team. This experience allowed me to implement many of the marketing strategies that you see Foodpanda using today.
Brandsynario: In your 18 years of experience, one campaign that you are most proud of and why?
Rifah Qadri: Last year, we launched a campaign at Easypaisa called “Audio Nikanama,” which won several awards. This has become my favourite campaign to date. It was also one of the most challenging to execute, primarily due to the taboos surrounding the topic. Many people argued that Easypaisa wasn’t directly related to Nikanama, making it a real challenge to convince them otherwise. In Pakistan, the first time a woman gains financial independence is often when she gets married and receives money from her husband or another source. This moment can be seen as the initial step toward establishing her own financial independence. This is why this campaign is very dear to my heart, and it will always hold a special place for me.
Brandsynario: As a strong advocate for purpose-driven marketing, you’ve likely seen companies struggle to find the right balance between promoting their product and creating a meaningful impact. In your opinion, where is the sweet spot between these two objectives?
Rifah Qadri: It really depends on the specific circumstances and the goals you want to achieve with your brand. You can effectively promote your product while fulfilling both business and brand-building objectives at the same time. There’s no definitive percentage that indicates which is more important; it all depends on your brand’s purpose and the perception your customers have of it. When your brand is built around a clear purpose, customers often remain loyal, viewing it as a long-term investment.
However, it’s also essential to execute product-driven campaigns that generate sales. There isn’t a one-size-fits-all formula for this. For example, last year, we ran a campaign for Easypaisa’s Savings Pocket. This campaign was purpose-driven, highlighting that women’s clothing often lacks pockets despite women being significant financial contributors in their households.
Brandsynario: Easypaisa is a major player in Pakistan’s fintech sector. How does the company’s marketing strategy differ from traditional industries, especially when dealing with a tech-savvy yet diverse demographic?
Rifah Qadri: So, our marketing has recently evolved since we’ve converted into a bank. We are now a digital bank, a fully commercial entity. Our competitors are the major players in the traditional banking industry. However, we need to stay true to our unique personality. If you’ve seen our latest campaign, it was based on cats and avoiding difficult banking, keeping this light and fun. Thus, our marketing strategy remains consistent; we are not a traditional bank. We won’t communicate like traditional banks do. We’ll engage you as Easy Pesa because that’s who we are. We don’t take ourselves too seriously; we are a fun brand. Easypaisa connects with you on an emotional level in a lighthearted way. We don’t show you images of buildings or people shaking hands, urging you to trust us. Easy Pesa isn’t just easy; it brings you ease. So, our marketing approach is also straightforward.
Brandsynario: What skills do you think are most important for marketers today to stay competitive, especially in the ever-evolving digital landscape with increasing AI involvement?
Rifah Qadri: Everyone’s talking about AI right now—and honestly, I think it’s a skill we all need to pick up, whether we’re excited about it or not. It’s kind of like when the internet first became a big deal. Back then, everyone had to learn how to use it, and now, AI feels like the next big shift we all need to adapt to. The great thing is, AI can actually help a lot. It can give you clarity, surface insights you might not have found on your own, and offer new perspectives. It’s powerful, and I really believe it’s something we all—myself included—need to get comfortable with.
Another thing that’s just as important, maybe even more so, is persistence. It helps you grow, even when things get tough. Sure, you can learn a lot of skills in school—like the basics of marketing, the difference between creative and non-creative work, or how to build purpose-driven campaigns. Those are all important, but they’re also things most people entering the field already know. What really makes someone stand out are the softer skills—things like being brave, being persistent, and staying curious. And when you combine those soft skills with something like AI, a hard skill that’s only becoming more valuable, that’s where you can really set yourself apart.
Brandsynario: In what ways do you believe that prestigious awards like Spikes Asia significantly empower both aspiring and established marketers in advancing their careers?
Rifah Qadri: I think awards matter—not just emotionally, but from a business perspective too. Of course, it feels great to win one, but award-winning campaigns also tend to get the most traction. Take our work on Audio Nikanama, for example. We won several awards for it last year, and the return on investment was double what we put in. Awards help keep your brand top of line—they draw attention and signal that you’re doing something right. When a campaign wins, it tells you it’s resonated with people. That’s why it’s worth investing in creative campaigns that have the potential to be recognized. Entering award shows like Spikes Asia isn’t just about trophies—it means you’re aiming high and doing great work.
Brandsynario: Lastly, how would you explain to someone the essence and importance of marketing?
Rifah Qadri: If marketing didn’t exist, there wouldn’t be anything else in the world because everything you see is marketing. You wear clothes that come from a brand and reach you through marketing. Whatever you consume, see, buy, or feel is all marketing. So, marketing is all around you. If marketing did not exist, neither the business world nor the world itself would exist. I think that the essence of marketing, which people often don’t understand, is that it is all around you. You’re sitting on a chair, holding a laptop, eating food- all of that involves marketing. If someone hadn’t presented it to you, you wouldn’t be doing it. When you’re making food or watching a video, you’re inspired by it. All these ideas, perceptions, and things you’re consuming are influenced by marketing.

Rizwan Draws the Line at PSL 10 Presser: 'I’ll Answer for What I Control'
The Pakistan Super League (PSL) captains’ press conference ahead of Season 10 was mostly business as usual—until Mohammad Rizwan took the mic.
The Multan Sultans captain, who also leads Pakistan in ODIs, has been under the spotlight lately, and not for the best of reasons. After Pakistan’s early exit from the ICC Champions Trophy 2025, followed by a 3-0 ODI series whitewash against New Zealand, fans and critics alike had tough questions for the leadership group.
So when Rizwan was asked about the criticism surrounding the team’s poor form and his captaincy, he didn’t dodge the question. He faced it head-on.
“What’s in My Control?”
Rizwan spoke with calm intensity. He wasn’t defensive, but he made it crystal clear where he stands. “Look, the real question is: what’s actually in my control and what isn’t?” he said.
He admitted the disappointment was real—and visible. But then came the real punch.
“If you can sense that our faces reflect the disappointment, then our media certainly knows what’s going on and what’s not.”
That’s Rizwan subtly calling out the noise while also suggesting that the internal problems of the team aren’t exactly hidden.
Not My Job to Pick the Team
One of the strongest parts of his statement was about accountability and roles. Mohammad Rizwan emphasized that everyone in the team setup has their own job. His is captaincy, not selection.
“Every individual in the setup has a defined role,” he said. “I have mine as captain, the head coach has his, and the selectors have theirs. Everyone will be answerable for the decisions they’re responsible for.”
It’s a rare thing to see a Pakistani captain draw that line so clearly. Rizwan isn’t shying away from pressure, but he also won’t take the blame for something he doesn’t control, like who gets picked in the squad.
Rizwan didn’t beat around the bush. He said the selection committee picks the team.
“I’ll take responsibility for what falls under my authority,” he said, “and likewise, the head coach and selectors will answer to the chairman for theirs.”
He even reminded everyone that the selection committee themselves admitted that they’re the ones making the picks.

Corbin Bosch Banned from PSL for One Year After Choosing IPL
Cricket careers can change with just one decision—and Corbin Bosch is learning that the hard way. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has handed a one-year ban to the South African all-rounder for breaching his PSL contract with Peshawar Zalmi.
He was picked in the diamond category during the PSL 10 draft earlier this year and was expected to play under Babar Azam’s captaincy. But just before the tournament kicked off, Bosch pulled out.
The reason? He chose to join the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL) instead
PCB Didn’t Take It Lightly
As expected, the PCB wasn’t pleased. They first sent him a legal notice, asking for an explanation. Bosch, of course, had already signed a binding contract with the PSL franchise, and this sudden switch was considered a serious violation.
Following an internal investigation, the board slapped him with a one-year ban from the Pakistan Super League. In addition, he’s been fined, although the amount hasn’t been disclosed due to a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA).
The message from PCB is loud and clear: commitments matter—especially when you’ve signed on the dotted line.
Corbin Bosch Apologizes to Zalmi Fans
In a statement released by the PCB, Bosch owned up to his mistake. He didn’t try to dodge the blame or defend his actions.
“I deeply regret my decision to withdraw from the HBL Pakistan Super League and offer my sincere apologies to the people of Pakistan, the fans of Peshawar Zalmi and the wider cricket community,” Bosch said.
He also said that he accepts full responsibility, and he’s ready to serve both the ban and the penalty.
“This has been a hard lesson,” he admitted, “but I am committed to learning from this experience and hope to return to the HBL PSL in the future.”
This situation highlights something important for players across the globe: League loyalty and contractual obligations are serious business.
With so many T20 leagues happening around the world, players are often torn between opportunities. But once you’ve signed with a team, walking away has consequences.

Prada has agreed to buy the Versace fashion brand for €1.25bn ($1.38bn) from the fashion conglomerate Capri Holdings. This is being done amid market turmoil, as the retail industry has specifically been hit hard. According to Prada, the purchase will preserve Versace’s creative DNA and cultural authenticity while enabling the company to make use of the group’s well-established retail and manufacturing facilities.
“Versace has huge potential. The journey will be long and will require disciplined execution and patience,”added Andrea Guerra, the chief executive of Prada.
A Deal Between Two Rivals
The price Prada agreed to pay for Versace is significantly lower than the $2.15 billion that Capri Holdings spent when it acquired Versace in 2018. If it’s so low, why agree to sell it? Well, there wasn’t a choice.
The market is deteriorating like almost never before. The deal has a lot of reasons behind it, particularly the fact that the brand’s debt is piling up as Versace has been operating at a loss amid a slowdown in demand for luxury fashion worldwide. The market upheaval in response to Trump’s tariffs is only worsening this situation. According to sources, the deal was originally supposed to be for €1.43bn, but a discount of about €180m was achieved because of trade uncertainty.
Prada Becoming a Multi-Million Dollar Luxury Group
The Prada Group already owns several other designer labels including Miu Miu and luxury footwear brand Church’s. Its acquisition of Versace will create a multi-billion dollar luxury fashion group, putting the brands in a position to compete with the likes of French luxury fashion conglomerates LVMH and Kering. This is not the first time the “made in Italy” brand has pulled such a strategic move. In 1999, it acquired Jil Sander and Helmut Lang and, in 2000, it added Alaia to its lineup.
While the market is in recession and the fashion industry is slowing down, it seems like Prada group is making the most of it. Rare and praiseworthy strategic success.
Prada reported revenues of €5.4bn in 2024, 17% higher than the previous year. This increase was partly driven by Miu Miu (the brand behind those viral micro-miniskirts and satin ballet shoes). This almost doubled Prada’s profits this year, hitting close to £1bn in sales.
Prada & Versace: Two Opposite Brands
Prada and Versace are often pitted against each other as Italian fashion rivals, and their designs are diametrically opposed. Versace champions the traditional tropes of femininity with unabashed enthusiasm – see high hemlines, high heels, big hair. If it’s seductive and wildly feminine; it’s most probably Versace.
Shalom Harlow for Atelier Versace Spring-Summer 1995 Couture Runway Show At Milan Fashion Week
Prada on the other hand is much more on the “intellectual” side. Miuccia Prada holds a doctorate in political science and has reflected that in the fashion pieces too. Modern chic and smart; basically Prada summed up.
Yasmeen Ghauri Prada Spring 1992 Ready-to-Wear fashion show now on Vogue Runway.
However, the two women have a perhaps unlikely friendship. Speaking to The Telegraph in 2012, Versace said: “We just talk, talk, talk. She’s so inspiring. We make fun of each other and teach each other. She says, ‘I could never make sexy clothes, but I love them.’ And I say, ‘Well, I love what you do.’”
The Future Of Versace
Just recently, Donatella Versace stepped down from her creative director role at the luxury brand after nearly 30 years. Dario Vitale, who is a former design and image director of Miu Miu, took over as chief creative officer.
Carla Bruni, Claudia Schiffer, Naomi Campbell, Cindy Crawford and Helena Christensen were on the runway for Versace in 2017
The switch of heads and the immense debt makes us worried about this iconic fashion brand. One can only hope that this decision by Prada to buy Versace will again revive the brand and bring it back to it’s very iconic position in the fashion world.

Art Dubai 2025: Meet the Pakistani Artists at the Event
Pakistan is causing ripples at Art Dubai 2025 with ten powerful artists. The fair, which ran from April 18 to 20, is among the largest platforms for South Asian artists globally. This year, Pakistan’s roster shines with bold styles, rich themes, and confident voices.
Spotlight on the Global South
Art Dubai does not shy away from experimentation. Its Contemporary section highlights art from Africa, the Middle East, and South Asia. This year, the Pakistani artists have introduced a combination of tradition and innovation. They addressed identity, memory, politics, and spirituality in their own unique ways.
Rasheed Araeen: Bold, Geometric, Political
Karachi-born Rasheed Araeen is a trailblazer. Having migrated to London in the 1960s, he was soon making waves in radical circles of art. His geometric sculptures, bold and confrontational of colonial thought, are his greatest contribution. He’s also responsible for starting Black Phoenix, an art journal which advocated equal rights in art representation.
Rasheed Araeen’s Art
Miniature Painting, Revamped
Imran Qureshi and Safdar Ali Qureshi both learned miniature art, but they’ve developed it in different ways. Imran combines Mughal methods with motifs of violence and hope. His paintings feature dramatic site-specific works. Safdar has moved toward abstraction. His paintings employ dots, whirls, and gentle colour shifts to deal with memory. He currently teaches in Jamshoro.
Vanishing Point by Imran Qureshi
Personal History Meets Art
Anwar Saeed gives personal and political narratives a life of their own. Working in Lahore, he employs mythology and sexuality to ponder identity. His paintings are close-up and daring.
Anwar Saeed’s Art
Faiza Butt, whose work is pointillist in nature, also takes inspiration from miniature art. Her works touch on international politics, migration, and the media.

A Dreamlike Escape
Sana Arjumand depicts mystical, symbolic worlds. Born in Karachi, she populates her paintings with birds, light, and spiritual symbols. Her paintings reflect on fear, dreams, and the quiet moments of life. Her dreamy, layered approach resonates with people around the world.
Sana Arjumand’s Back to Being
These ten artists do not simply stand for Pakistan—they advance its image. They introduce distinctive tales and voices to one of the world’s largest art fairs. With heritage in one hand and daring ideas in the other, they prove that Pakistan’s art is forceful, contemporary, and irresistible.
Meet the Rest of the Artists
Welcome the remaining artists who are part of Pakistan’s delegation at Art Dubai 2025 — each with a unique contribution to the nation’s diverse artistic voice. Shehnaz Ismail, an early leader in design education, has devoted years to safeguarding indigenous embroidery and textile practices, placing them solidly in the context of modern art. Her dedication to advancing craft is echoed in the heritage of Syed Sadequain, whose legendary calligraphy and symbolic paintings continue to define South Asian and Islamic art. His participation in the fair is both tribute and testament to his lasting legacy.
Syed Sadequain
Bringing a contemporary, experimental edge to the lineup is Shezad Dawood, whose multimedia work across VR, film, and digital media traverses identity and prospective futures.
By contrast, Maha Ahmed provides a gentle, contemplative hand. Studied in miniature painting, her paintings are elegant, otherworldly explorations of loneliness and the subconscious, drawing the viewer into peaceful, dreamscapes. Together, these artists enlarge the range of Pakistani art — from heritage to cutting-edge — with strength, beauty, and imagination.

Lahore, 10 April, 2025: Confidence among global accountants declined again in early 2025, although the fall was much less marked than in Q4 2024, according to the Q1 2025 Global Economic Conditions Survey (GECS).
The survey from ACCA (the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and IMA® (Institute of Management Accountants) suggests that confidence remains at its lowest since Q2 2020. The survey of accountants took place between late February and mid-March and so it was completed in the build-up to last week’s major announcement by the U.S. on import tariffs which significantly increased the downside risks to the global economy.
Confidence fell markedly in North America amid a huge fall in the U.S. Confidence among U.S.-based accountants is at its second lowest ever, with commentary from survey respondents suggesting that U.S. trade policy has been the key factor weighing on sentiment, as well as cuts in government spending. Expectations for increases in the latter have fallen sharply in recent quarters. Moreover, the U.S. Capital Expenditure and Employment indices both declined and are at very low levels historically. More encouragingly, the U.S. New Orders Index rose again and is not too far below its average.
Confidence rose quite strongly in Asia Pacific in Q1 after a massive decline over the past couple of quarters. It is now only modestly below its historical average. There was also a solid gain in the New Orders Index, which is at a very high level by historical standards, potentially boding well for activity over the coming quarters. But the Capital Expenditure and Employment indices provide a contrasting picture. The former fell meaningfully and is significantly below average, while the latter rose strongly and is slightly higher than its historical average.
There was a very notable rise in confidence among mainland-China-based accountants, and there has been a large improvement in the New Orders Index since Q3 2024. All in all, the key indicators pointed to some improvement in the economic backdrop in Asia Pacific, with signs of improvement in the Chinese economy likely an important contributing factor.
That said, front-loading of exports before U.S. tariff increases may have played a part, and the significant escalation of trade tensions is a major downside risk over the coming quarters.
Confidence also grew in Western Europe, after sharp falls in previous quarters, despite the growing risk from U.S. import tariffs. Meanwhile, cost pressures increased globally. They remain very elevated in Western Europe and rose quite materially in North America.
Jonathan Ashworth, Chief Economist, ACCA, said: ‘Global growth has generally proved quite resilient over recent quarters. Nonetheless, the longer that confidence remains depressed, the greater the risk that a self-reinforcing negative cycle could potentially develop, with firms pulling back on orders, capital expenditure and hiring. Unfortunately, with global trade tensions stepping up markedly since the survey was completed, the downside risks to the global economy have increased significantly.’
Alain Mulder, Senior Director, Europe Operations & Global Special Projects at IMA said: ‘New U.S. policies on trade and government spending, and the uncertainty surrounding them, appear to have had a large negative impact on confidence, while declines in the global markets and signs of slowing in the U.S. economy were likely factors too.’
The economy remained the highest overall risk identified by accountants in Q1, but responses varied across sectors. Cybersecurity was the highest for financial services and tied in first with talent scarcity for the public and not-for-profit sector. The corporate sector ranked economic woes first and geopolitical instability a tight second. Geopolitical risks came in second overall – the first time it was above third – with respondents in the U.S. especially, commenting on the implications of new policy changes and tariffs.
Petrol Prices Are Expected To Drop By Rs12 From April 16
Consumers in Pakistan may soon get good news as petrol prices are expected to drop. The government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, is expected to cut petrol prices by up to Rs12 per litre starting April 16. Currently, petrol is priced at Rs254.63 per litre, and high-speed diesel (HSD) is at Rs258.64 per litre. If the cut is approved, petrol will drop to around Rs 242- 243 per litre, and diesel will be priced at Rs248- 250 per litre.
This possible reduction comes after a notable decline in international crude oil prices. Brent crude has gone down from $74.95 per barrel earlier this month to $60.12 per barrel now — a drop of over $14. Analysts say the reason behind this fall is a mix of reduced demand globally, economic slowdowns in major markets, and an overall negative sentiment in the commodities sector.
According to officials, the new fuel prices will be announced after final approval from the Ministry of Finance and the Prime Minister’s Office and will come into effect from midnight on April 16.
In recent months, fuel prices in Pakistan have remained high due to changing global oil markets and the depreciation of the Pakistani rupee. This expected reduction is seen as a relief for the public already dealing with inflation. The transport and goods sectors are also expected to benefit.
A senior official from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra), who did not want to be named, said that the recommendations for the new prices are being finalised and will be submitted to the Ministry of Finance soon. The official said, “This is a positive development for the general public. The downward trend in international prices has created space for a reduction, and we are likely to pass on the benefit to consumers.”
In Pakistan, fuel prices are reviewed every 15 days. Ogra considers changes in international oil rates, currency exchange rates, and import parity pricing. The final decision on price changes is made by the federal government, which also considers revenue needs and IMF targets regarding petroleum levies.

Dow University of Healthy Sciences Marks 190th Liver Transplant
Pakistan has made an efficient development in the world of liver transplantation. Dow University Hospital has successfully conducted its 190th liver transplant under the guidance of international medical experts. This was performed as a live demonstration that was conducted on Wednesday, April 9th 2025.
Details About the 190th Liver Transplant
This was the country’s first live demonstration of a liver transplant, supervised by world-renowned surgeons from the United States at Dow University’s Ojha campus. These included Professor John LaMattina, who has previously visited Pakistan; and Professor John Fung, who was visiting the country for the first time. Professor John Fung is considered a living legend in the field of liver transplantation and he is also a close associate of the late Professor Thomas Starzl (who is widely regarded as the pioneer of liver transplant).
190th Liver Transplant
Both professors provided valuable insights to Dow’s liver transplant team which was headed by Dr. Jehanzaib Haider. The complex surgery involved a 23-year-old donor who provided a 750-gram portion of his liver to his 42-year-old uncle. The recipient was suffering liver failure due to long-term hepatitis B and D infections. His 23-year-old nephew volunteered to donate 750 grams of his liver, facilitating the successful transplant.
Post Surgery Appreciation
Vice Chancellor Dow University Professor Muhammad Saeed Quraishy commended the team on achieving yet another major milestone in the country’s medical history. He also expressed deep gratitude to the international faculty for their active participation and knowledge-sharing during the live transplant session.
Pro-Vice Chancellor Professor Jehan Ara Hassan, who was present throughout the broadcast, shared that the recipient hailed from Shahdadkot and had no financial means to undergo such a sophisticated surgery privately. Hence, the transplant was done free of cost, solely from the support of Sindh government.
Transplantation is in the Right Hands
Dow University has now completed 190 liver transplants, all without charging patients, and more than 500 kidney transplants and dozens of bone marrow transplants. Even right now, it seems that Dow is developing a proposal for an organ donation bank to help improve accessibility and awareness among the locals. Surely, this is a step ahead for a very bright future of transplantations in the medical field.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has left for a two-day Belarus visit on Thursday. He is visiting the European country at the invitation of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko. On his trip, the Prime Minister is joined by a high-level delegation, which includes Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, Information and Broadcasting Minister Attaullah Tarar and Special Assistant to the Prime Minister Tariq Fatemi.
During the visit from April 10 to 11, the Prime Minister will hold discussions with President Lukashenko to go over the progress made in areas where both countries have mutual interests. According to a statement from the Foreign Office, “Over the past six months, a series of high-level bilateral engagements — including the 8th Session of the Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) in February 2025 and a subsequent visit by a high-powered mixed ministerial delegation to Belarus in April 2025 — have laid the groundwork for a productive visit.”
It is expected that the two countries will sign several agreements to further improve cooperation. The Foreign Office added, “The Prime Minister’s visit underscores the strong and ongoing partnership between Pakistan and Belarus.”
Last year in November, both countries signed a three-year agreement called the ‘Roadmap for Comprehensive Cooperation’ to improve economic ties. This Roadmap for 2025-2027 was described by the Pakistani government as a “key outcome” of the visit. It was one of the 15 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and agreements signed during talks between Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and the Belarusian President. These talks were followed by a meeting between the delegations of both countries.
Areas of Cooperation Expanded
Other MoUs signed during the visit include cooperation in e-commerce, science and technology, accreditation, auditing, vocational education, health services and halal trade. The two countries also agreed to work together on sharing intelligence about money laundering and terrorism financing, exchange customs trade data, and cooperate in international road transport and disaster management.
Agreements were also signed on environmental and climate change efforts, and both countries signed an extradition treaty to improve legal cooperation. A joint communique released at the end of the visit said these agreements are “expected to open new prospects for the continued development of bilateral relations based on the principles of mutually beneficial friendship.”

Barrik Gold Corp Plans Massive Reko Diq Project in Pakistan
Barrick Gold Corporation has taken a step forward to actualising one of the world’s biggest untouched gold and copper deposits as it provisionally arranges $3 billion of funding for the Reko Diq project in Pakistan’s Balochistan province. With construction set to commence in the latter half of the year and production fully in place by 2028, the project is being touted as a game-changer for both the economy of Pakistan and the international mining sector.
Barrik Gold Corp Plans Massive Reko Diq Project in Pakistan
The interim finance agreement—headed by the World Bank’s International Finance Corporation (IFC) and supported by US, German, and Japanese state agencies—is the first stage of a $6 billion strategy. The achievement of full development is dependent upon the successful completion of this financing round by the third quarter of 2025. Barrick CEO Mark Bristow also pointed out that this is not only a company milestone but also a national milestone, saying, “Miners are merely custodians of national assets. Our job is to deliver value to all stakeholders.”
A Mine of Untapped Potential
Reko Diq, on the Iran-Afghanistan border in Balochistan, is said to hold more than $70 billion of copper and gold—estimates that can double. Bristow also affirmed Barrick’s agreement to sign an MoU with Mari Energies Ltd to explore nearby mineral properties, which marks further investment into the area.
Nonetheless, the project is confronted with significant challenges, most notably security issues. The recent attack by Balochistan separatist militants resulted in more than 50 deaths, emphasising the danger of doing business in the troubled province. Bristow remains upbeat, however, citing the generation of 7,500 jobs during the height of construction and 4,000 permanent positions after launch, prioritising local hiring and training.
Barrick Gold To Invest $7 Billion in Reko Diq Project
A Fresh Start After Legal Battles
Pakistan and Balochistan governments hold a 50% stake in the project, acquired after Antofagasta exited following a decade-long legal dispute. Barrick, the world’s second-largest gold miner, has since taken full operational lead and is positioning Reko Diq as part of its broader strategy to focus on ‘tier one’ assets and increase copper production—a metal vital to the global energy transition.
With other interest reportedly on the way from Saudi Arabia’s state-owned Ma’aden to invest in the project, Reko Diq may soon become a regional hub of mining, investment, and development—if Pakistan can ensure the political stability and security required to support it.

For cricket lovers around the world, the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics is shaping up to be something special. After more than a century, cricket is finally returning to the Olympic stage—and in the shortest, fastest format of them all: T20. But here’s the catch—Pakistan might not make the cut.
Only Six Spots, Big Dreams
Unlike ICC events, Olympic cricket won’t feature ten or twelve teams. Just six. Yes, only six men’s and six women’s teams will get to compete in LA.
That’s a big blow for many cricketing nations. Especially when the top six in the ICC T20I rankings are likely to be the ones heading to Hollywood. Right now, Pakistan sits at number seven—just outside the bubble.
India, Australia, England, New Zealand, West Indies, and South Africa currently occupy those golden spots.
Unless Pakistan climbs up the rankings fast, their dream of playing at the Olympics may remain just that—a dream.
Host Nation Dilemma: Will USA Get a Free Pass?
One twist in the story is whether the United States, as the host nation, will get automatic qualification. If that happens, it means only five other teams will make it based on rankings. The competition will get even tougher.
The official qualification pathway hasn’t been finalised yet, but it’s expected to be announced later this year.
Now here’s another unique Olympic curveball—the West Indies issue. In ICC tournaments, they play as one team. But in the Olympics, Caribbean countries compete separately. So who represents them?
We saw this play out at the 2022 Commonwealth Games. There, Barbados took part on behalf of the West Indies because they won the regional tournament. Will it be the same story for LA28? Possibly. But again, nothing’s confirmed.
Time Is Ticking for Pakistan
With all these uncertainties around the LA Olympics 2028, one thing is clear—Pakistan needs to act fast. Climbing up to the top six in the T20I rankings won’t be easy, but it’s the only straightforward route available—for now.
And for a country that won the T20 World Cup in 2009, missing out on the Olympics would be heartbreaking.
If Pakistan wants to be part of history in 2028, the push has to start now—on the field, in the rankings, and in the boardroom. Because let’s be honest—a cricket Olympics without Pakistan just wouldn’t feel complete.

Pakistani drama industry is not slowing down! Hit after hit, back to back. From Fahad Mustafa and Hania Amir’s “Kabhi Mein Kabhi Tum” to Bilal Abbas and Dur-e-Fishaan’s “Ishq Murshid” and now Ahad Raza Mir and Dananeer Mobeen’s “Meem Se Mohabbat,” the masterpieces seem to not slow down at all.
Currently, Meem Se Mohabbat is the talk of the town. Due to its record-breaking streak, the drama has joined the prestigious 1 billion views club on YouTube.
Meem Se Mohabbat Topping Viewership Charts
‘Meem Se Muhabbat’ revolves around a moving drama that very beautifully highlights the intervention of coincidence and destiny, bringing together two souls who could not be more dissimilar in their essence. It is very beautiful to see how love grows and manifests despite the circumstances and uncertainties. The simplicity and beauty of the drama have made it immensely popular. So much so that the drama has become a sensation not only in Pakistan but across borders, especially in India and Bangladesh.
Since its premiere, Meem Se Mohabbat has consistently topped the viewership charts. Written by Farhat Ishtiaq and directed by Ali Hassan, it has aired 32 episodes so far, and each one has trended across multiple countries. Produced by Momina Duraid Productions, the show’s plot, especially after the dramatic kidnapping of Shariq and the highly anticipated union of Talha and Roshi, has kept the audience hooked.
Ahad and Dananeer On The Sets Of “Meem Se Mohabbat”
The Last Episode Airs Today: April 10th
No matter how successful a drama is, it needs to come to an end. The same is the case with this one, too. The makers of the drama have announced that the show will conclude its journey after a successful run of 33 episodes, leaving the fans heartbroken. And the saddest part is that the day is TODAY, aka 10 April.
In the teaser, the love between Talha and Roshi can be seen getting stronger. However, towards the very end, Talha seems to be very sad and worried. Perhaps due to the pain of losing his brother and sister-in-law. Everyone eagerly awaits how the bubbly Roshi will be able to endure this situation.
The success of Meem Se Mohabbat reflects the increasing global appeal of Pakistani dramas. Hopefully, this is just the start of immense success ahead!

Eventone C Price On Other Platforms
The cream is also available on other platforms but the prices may differ as they are all third party platforms.
Note: It must be kept in mind that these are nonetheless third party platforms and hence their products must be verified before buying. Always check the expiry date, manufacturer details, proper seals and packaging of these products.
Possible Benefits of Using Eventone C Cream
Eventone C Cream is more than just a whitening product. While whitening products are always seen in a negative light, some are also used to make the skin less dull and depressing. Especially with the pollution levels, this is really necessary.
Possible Benefits of Using Eventone C Cream
Here are some benefits that people will achieve by using Eventone C:
Faded Dark Spots and Hyperpigmentation: Thanks to the high concentration of Vitamin C, this cream helps reduce melanin production, which fades dark spots and evens out skin tone.
Brightens Dull Skin: It gives the skin a natural, healthy glow by improving cellular turnover and boosting collagen production.
Anti-Aging Properties: Vitamin C is a powerful antioxidant that helps reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles over time.
Hydrating and Soothing: Despite being rich in active ingredients, it’s gentle and moisturising, making it suitable even for sensitive skin.
A Heads Up: While Eventone C Cream is formulated to suit all skin types (normal, dry, oily, combination, and even sensitive skin) it is still advised that before using people with sensitive skin should always do a patch test first.
Some Risks and Warnings To Be Kept in Mind
The cream is nonetheless a clinical product and that leaves a room for side effects too. Even if these are rare, the cream in no way should be misused.
There are some specific circumstances under which the use of certain medications is contraindicated or considered dangerous. The risks and warnings associated with Eventone C cream are:
Allergic Reactions: Do not use Eventone C cream if you are allergic to any of its ingredients. Doing so might result in an allergic reaction.
Skin Inflammation: Some people are sensitive to the product, and thus when applied, it reacts with the skin. Eventone C can cause redness, burning, or stinging. This is because some active ingredients are highly present, such as hydroquinone and kojic acid.
Dryness and Peeling: Some skin types tends to dry or fall off because it gets sensitive very easily during the first weeks of use. This can be controlled by reducing the rate of application and applying a moisturiser concurrently with the cream.
Problems with Long-Term Use: The cream can also be linked with long-term use that results in ochronosis, a disease that causes bluish-black discoloration of the skin. This is why, one needs to use it according to recommended guidelines given by a dermatologist.
The Right Way to Use Eventone C Cream
Whichever product you use, it is very important to use it the right way. Otherwise it’s all a waste. Here is how Eventone C is supposed to be used:
Cleanse your face with a mild face wash.
Apply a small amount of the cream to your face or target areas (dark spots, pigmentation, etc.).
Massage gently in upward circular motions until fully absorbed.
Use twice daily – once in the morning and once at night.
Don’t forget sunscreen during the day to avoid sun damage.
Pro Tip: Combine with a gentle Vitamin C serum or toner for enhanced results.
Is the Cream Worth Buying?
Yes, it is. And honestly, Eventone C Cream price in Pakistan is worth the benefits it gives. It is an affordable and effective skincare investment and is highly recommended by people who use it.

The countdown to PSL 10 is on, and excitement is sky-high. But just before the first ball is bowled, controversy has knocked on the door. And this time, it’s not about a dropped catch or a selection snub—it’s about a voice behind the mic.
Salman Butt in the Commentary Box
Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt, who was once banned for his role in the 2010 spot-fixing scandal, has been added to the PSL 10 commentary panel. But not everyone’s thrilled about it.
According to reports, franchise owners weren’t on board with this decision. They reportedly sent a joint letter to the PCB, requesting that no individual with a history of unethical conduct—like fixing—be allowed in the commentary team.
While the letter didn’t name Butt directly, the message was clear. But here’s the twist—the PCB didn’t back down. Just a day later, they unveiled a star-studded commentary panel, and yes, Butt’s name was right there.
In response to the franchises’ concerns, the league reportedly argued that Butt will only do Urdu commentary, which they suggested wouldn’t have much international exposure.
That explanation, honestly, feels a bit weak. Fixing scandals don’t need subtitles to tarnish reputations. And this is the landmark 10th edition of the PSL—we’re talking about legacy here.
But Wait—Wasn’t Amir Involved, Too?
This brings us to the elephant in the room—Mohammad Amir. He was also part of the 2010 scandal, along with Mohammad Asif and Salman Butt. Yet, Amir has been playing in the PSL since the very first season.
He spent eight years with the Karachi Kings before moving to the Quetta Gladiators. And let’s not forget, he even played for Pakistan again after serving his ban.
Yes, Amir was only 17 back then and reportedly acted under pressure from his captain. But that doesn’t completely erase his accountability. If redemption is an option for one, shouldn’t it be for all?
This situation has opened up a bigger debate: How do we, as fans and stakeholders, define second chances in cricket? Are we okay with watching a fixer bowl at 140 km/h but not okay with him discussing a powerplay on-air?
Maybe the franchises have a point about protecting the league’s image. But consistency matters too. If we’ve forgiven Amir—and even celebrated his comeback—then why is Butt’s voice such a big problem?
