MrBeast Shares Proof of $10M Prize Transfer to the Winner

YouTube star Jimmy “MrBeast” recently posted a picture of the Beast Games reality show’s prize money, which was allegedly sent via bank wire transfer to its winner, revealed in the tenth and final episode. The champion, Jeffrey Randall Allen, also known as Player 831, received the promised $10 million prize.

Although the image had the recipient’s name blurred to prevent spoilers for those who hadn’t watched the show yet, other details clearly showed the amount transferred from a commercial checking account, a type of account typically used by businesses and corporations.

At the beginning of Beast Games, the initial prize for the winner was set at $5 million. However, in the tenth episode, one of the six remaining contestants chose to take a risk with a coin flip that would either double the winnings or eliminate him from the competition.

Fortunately for the contestant, Player 974, the coin landed in his favour, doubling the grand prize to an astounding $10 million. Though Player 974 did not win the competition, his gamble significantly benefited the eventual winner, Jeffrey Allen.

In addition to the $10 million awarded to the last contestant standing, numerous other participants who didn’t make it to the end received rewards in different ways. According to MrBeast, a total of $20 million was distributed during the filming of Beast Games.

The first season of Beast Games was packed with dramatic and intense moments. One notable incident involved Player 952, who won an island valued at $1.8 million, accusing Player 539 of racism during the game for selecting three African women as the contestants he liked the least.

DNA Test Confirms Mustafa’s Blood Found in Armughan’s House

DNA Test Confirms Mustafa’s Blood Found in Armughan’s House

New details have emerged in the abduction and murder case of Mustafa Amir, a BBA student who went missing on January 6. His burnt body was found inside a car near the Hub checkpost on Friday night. Police confirmed that the body had been set on fire along with the vehicle. The case took a serious turn when the prime suspect, Armughan, opened fire on the Anti-Violent Crime Cell (AVCC) team during a raid at his residence in Karachi’s DHA.

Authorities revealed that Mustafa and Armughan were friends and had a heated argument on New Year’s night. Following the dispute, Armughan allegedly threatened to harm Mustafa and his female friend. On January 6, he called Mustafa and reportedly subjected him to violence. Police confirmed that the female friend left the country on January 12 and efforts were being made through Interpol to contact her as her statement was crucial for the investigation. After the body was found, murder charges were added to the case.

During a raid at Armughan’s house, police discovered blood stains, which were later matched with Mustafa’s mother’s DNA sample. Authorities also recovered Mustafa’s mobile phone and other evidence from the residence. The South deputy inspector general stated that this evidence was a turning point in the investigation. However, the investigation faced challenges as the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) denied police remand for Armughan, making it difficult for the AVCC to proceed. The police have now approached the Sindh High Court, arguing that sending the suspect to jail before completing the investigation goes against the principles of justice.

Police confirmed that a second suspect, Shiraz, who worked for Armughan, was also involved in planning the murder and disposing of the body. The authorities are now seeking approval for exhuming Mustafa’s body to gather more evidence. Despite the obstacles in the investigation, police remain determined to bring justice to Mustafa Amir’s family.

New Supreme Judges

The update follows an oath-taking ceremony earlier today, where Chief Justice Afridi administered the oath to six new Supreme Court judges. Those sworn in include Justice Hashim Khan Kakar, former chief justice of the Balochistan High Court; Justice Muhammad Shafi Siddiqui, ex-chief justice of the Sindh High Court; Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, former chief justice of the Peshawar High Court; and Justice Aamer Farooq, previously chief justice of the Islamabad High Court. Sindh High Court’s Justice Salahuddin Panhwar and Peshawar High Court’s Justice Shakeel Ahmed also took their oaths. Additionally, Justice Mian Gul Hassan Aurangzeb was sworn in as an acting judge of the Supreme Court.

The ceremony was attended by Supreme Court judges, the Attorney General, senior lawyers, journalists, judicial staff and representatives from the Supreme Court Bar Association and the Pakistan Bar Council.

These appointments were finalised in a meeting of the Judicial Commission of Pakistan (JCP) on Monday. However, the session saw a boycott by two senior Supreme Court judges and two opposition party members. The 13-member JCP, led by Chief Justice Afridi, approved the nominations by a majority vote, as stated on the Supreme Court’s website.

Pakistan Hopes Cricket will Boosts its Image

Pakistan Hopes Cricket will Boosts its Image

Pakistan is hosting its first major multi-country cricket tournament in nearly 30 years – the Champions Trophy. This event is seen as a big opportunity to improve the country’s image and attract tourists and investors. The tournament comes at a time when Pakistan faces several challenges, including political instability, as former Prime Minister and cricket star Imran Khan is currently in jail. However, the government and the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) believe this tournament, featuring the top eight one-day international teams, can significantly boost the country’s reputation.

“The return of global cricket is not just about hosting matches,” said PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who also serves as the country’s interior minister and security chief. “It is about restoring pride, igniting national passion and giving back to the millions who have stood by Pakistan cricket.” Cricket is hugely popular in South Asia, especially in India, where it generates a lot of money. Pakistan’s security situation has been a concern since the US war in Afghanistan began in 2001. A 2009 attack on the Sri Lankan cricket team in Lahore led to a halt in international cricket tours to Pakistan.

Significant Improvements Seen

Security has gotten much better in major cities since 2018, and international teams have been visiting again. The Champions Trophy is the first major tournament in Pakistan since 1996. Teams from New Zealand, England, Australia, Afghanistan, South Africa, Bangladesh and Pakistan will participate. India will play its matches in Dubai, including its highly anticipated game against Pakistan. The country is also working on economic recovery, supported by a $7 billion loan from the International Monetary Fund (IMF).

Naqvi described organising the tournament as a “monumental task” that required significant improvements in logistics, from roads and hotels to security. He added that visiting teams are happy with the arrangements, and the ICC has given the PCB’s security plan “unanimous approval.”

“Players are treated as state dignitaries for enhanced security,” said Shahzada Sultan, the deputy police chief for Punjab province, where two of the three venues are located. For the Champions Trophy, police in Lahore, Karachi and the cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad have deployed over 20,000 officers, including snipers, on rooftops along important routes. Hotels, stadiums and airports will have heavy security, as will the roads connecting them.

MrBeast’s Beast Games Winner: Who Took Home the $10M Prize?

MrBeast’s Beast Games Winner: Who Took Home the $10M Prize?

MrBeast’s Beast Games has officially crowned its first-ever winner and the historic $10 million grand prize has gone to Jeffrey Allen. The high-stakes competition, which started with 1,000 contestants, pushed players through several intense challenges, eliminations and strategic moves until only one remained standing.

The Road to Victory

Throughout Beast Games, competitors faced multiple elimination challenges, all designed to test their strategy, endurance and ability to adapt under pressure. While MrBeast dangled self-elimination bribes along the way, only 85 contestants opted to take the money and leave, allowing the most determined players to advance.

Originally set at $5 million, the final prize pool was doubled to $10 million after a contestant correctly guessed the outcome of a coin flip in Episode 9. This twist raised the stakes going into the grand finale, where only six players remained.

The Final Showdown

In the thrilling final episode, the six remaining contestants faced four intense challenges that whittled the field down to just two: Jeffrey Allen (contestant #831) and Twana Barnett (#830). The ultimate test involved a rotating table holding 10 briefcases, one of which contained the life-changing $10 million check.

Barnett was tasked with shuffling the briefcases while Allen had his eyes closed. But Allen, known for his meticulous strategy throughout the competition, skillfully asked Barnett a series of tricky questions to read her reactions. With calculated confidence, he locked in his choice on his first try—and to everyone’s astonishment, it was the correct briefcase.

A Win with a Purpose

Allen’s victory was not just a personal triumph but a deeply emotional one. His 7-year-old son, Lucas, suffers from Creatine Transporter Deficiency (CTD), a rare brain disorder that affects speech, cognitive development and motor function. With no existing cure for CTD, Allen has long advocated for research and funding. He has expressed his commitment to using a portion of his winnings to help find a cure for the disease.

Music Industry Shocked as Indian Rapper Found Dead in Suspected Suicide

Music Industry Shocked as Indian Rapper Found Dead in Suspected Suicide

On 9 February 2025, the dead body of the popular Odia rapper, Abhinav Singh was found by the Bengaluru police in his apartment at Kadubeesanahalli. The police investigation immediately hinted at suicide as the likely cause of death, with Singh being spotted for the last time during dinner with a friend before heading back to his residence later in the evening.

The Investigation and Initial Findings

Following an autopsy, the authorities established that Singh had died from suicide. The police investigation, however, continues to establish the complete circumstances surrounding this tragic incident.

The rapper went out to have dinner with one of his closest friends before returning home at about 9 pm on February 9. That evening, his life came to a tragic end. Singh was alone when he died, the stated.

Allegations of Marital Issues

Singh’s family, especially his father, have expressed concerns that marital issues were involved in his death. The family asserts that Singh’s wife had accused him of making false charges, which likely caused serious personal and emotional distress. These marital issues, they imply, might have led him to take his own life.

Considering these charges, the father of Juggernaut Singh, Bijay Nanda Singh, approached the Odisha Lalbagh police station with a case. The family wants a proper and transparent investigation into the death of their son to provide justice.

Impact on the Odia Rap Scene

Juggernaut aka Abhinav Singh was not only a rapper but also a prime individual within the emerging Odia rap culture. His songs, like the hit  “Cuttack Anthem,” attracted listeners from beyond borders. Singh was also famous for collaborating with other local musicians, like MC Tor, which further established him as a part of the local music scene.

Despite being so young, Singh made a huge impact on the local rap scene. His music spoke volumes for the youth and his untimely death leaves the industry incomplete. Fans and artists are grieving over the loss of a talented young soul whose songs will keep living on.

The death of Abhinav Singh has united the community, with fans and artists following in response to the news, shocked and grief-stricken. The social media sites are inundated with tributes and most are using the hashtag #RIPJuggernautSingh to celebrate his memory and legacy.

His untimely death has also raised debate regarding mental well-being, especially in the music business, where artists tend to experience a lot of pressure. There are demands for increased support to ensure artists cope with individual issues and pressures associated with fame.

After Singh’s body was discovered, the Marathahalli police filed a report of unnatural death. The body was later handed over to the family to prepare for burial. Although suicide is confirmed as the probable cause of death by the police, they are still probing the reasons behind this tragic occurrence.

Meta Introduces Tools to Protect Users from Valentine’s Day Romance Fraud

Meta Introduces Tools to Protect Users from Valentine's Day Romance Fraud

Valentine’s Day scammers are preparing to take advantage of unsuspecting victims searching for love. To counter this, Meta has implemented new safety features across its platforms to stem the tide of romance fraud during this peak season.

How Scammers Take Advantage of Valentine’s Day

Each year, millions resort to social media, dating websites and messaging services to seek out potential suitors. Swindlers ride this wave, crafting false accounts to entice victims into love and financial pitfalls. Popular scams involve posing as members of the armed forces, public figures, or affluent citizens to be trusted and subsequently asked to send money for travelling, ailing conditions, or presents. To combat these scams, Meta has improved detection mechanisms and implemented new safety features on Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp.

Suspicious Account Alerts on Messenger

Users will get safety alerts when they interact with accounts showing suspicious behaviour, including recently created profiles, reaching out from various countries, or using doctored images. A new feature enables users to block calls from numbers they don’t know, making it less likely for scammers to contact them through voice calls.

Improved Fraud Detection Systems

Meta has strengthened its AI-based fraud detection, which detects and deletes inauthentic accounts. In 2024 alone, the company deleted more than 400,000 scam-related accounts.

Impersonation scams are still a serious problem, with scammers posing as public figures or professionals seeking romance. Meta has worked with cybersecurity companies to identify and remove fake accounts, especially those that impersonate military personnel and celebrities. The company has also shut down many fake matchmaking agencies offering access to high-status partners in return for payments, especially those from Kenya and other areas.

Educational Initiatives and Global Collaboration

Meta is also joining forces with law enforcement and online safety groups to inform users on romance scams. Some of the initiatives in Japan and the U.S. involve in-app warnings, educational content and workshops to prepare users with the skills and knowledge to recognise and report suspicious activity.

As internet cons advance, Meta calls on people to be more watchful. Refrain from wiring money to a person you do not know offline, authenticate profiles and alert others about doubtful behaviour. By introducing these additional safeguards, Meta is determined to make its communities safer and more secure so love hunters will not be caught up in virtual lies this Valentine’s Day.

RFK Jr. Confirmed as Health Secretary in 52-48 Senate Vote

RFK Jr. Confirmed as Health Secretary in 52-48 Senate Vote

The US Senate has confirmed Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as health secretary in a 52-48 vote, mostly along party lines. The decision, led by the Republican-controlled Senate, comes despite strong warnings from the medical community. Kennedy, widely known as “RFK Jr.,” now oversees 80,000 employees and a $1.7 trillion budget as scientists warn of a possible bird flu pandemic and childhood diseases reemerge due to declining vaccination rates.

Kennedy was once an environmental lawyer but later became a leading figure in the anti-vaccine movement. He has promoted conspiracy theories, including claims linking vaccines to autism and doubts about germs causing diseases. He also suggested that the COVID-19 virus spared Ashkenazi Jews and Chinese people. His shift toward conservative positions, particularly on abortion, helped him gain Republican support despite his past views.

During confirmation hearings, Democrats pointed out conflicts of interest in Kennedy’s financial records, including consulting fees from law firms suing pharmaceutical companies. They also brought up allegations of sexual misconduct and his claim that school shootings are linked to antidepressants. His confirmation remains controversial, with critics warning of the potential impact on public health policies.

Only one Republican senator, Mitch McConnell, voted against him. Indian Cricket Players To Travel Without Families In Champions Trophy 2025

India's Jersey to Feature Pakistan’s Name as Part of Official Logo-no-champions-trophy-warm-up-matches-for-india

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has introduced a new travel policy that will come into effect during the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, set to be held in Pakistan and the UAE. Under this policy, Indian players will not be allowed to have their families accompany them throughout the tournament, which begins on February 15.

No Families for Champions Trophy Tour

The new rule, part of BCCI’s stricter travel policies, limits family stays to tours lasting 45 days or more, and even then, only for a maximum of two weeks. Since the Champions Trophy is a three-week tournament, players will have to travel without their wives, partners, or children.

A senior BCCI official confirmed this to PTI, stating:

“Since the tour is less than one month, families won’t be accompanying the players. If exceptions are made, the player will have to bear the full expenses because BCCI won’t cover the cost.”

The policy applies to all players, with no exceptions unless pre-approved by the coach, captain, and GM Operations.

India’s Champions Trophy Campaign

Led by Rohit Sharma, the Indian team will begin their Champions Trophy campaign on February 20 against Bangladesh in Dubai. The tournament’s most awaited clash—India vs. Pakistan—is scheduled for February 23, followed by their final group-stage match against New Zealand on March 2.

While India plays all its matches in Dubai, the rest of the tournament, including the final on March 9, will take place in Pakistan.

Why the New Travel Policy?

The BCCI’s decision comes after India’s disappointing tour of Australia, where they lost the Test series 1-3. The poor performance sparked speculation about a lack of discipline and team focus, prompting the BCCI to introduce tighter travel regulations.

Since then, several rules have been enforced to ensure better discipline:

  • No personal staff (such as managers, agents, or personal chefs) are allowed on tours.
  • Players must now travel together for all series.
  • The policy encourages players to participate in domestic cricket during breaks.

Stricter Rules, Fewer Exceptions

The policy isn’t limited to the Champions Trophy. It will apply to all overseas tours, though longer tours will allow for exceptions. For instance, during the upcoming five-Test series in England (June to August 2025), players’ families can join them for two weeks, with dates pre-arranged.

The BCCI clarified:

“Players on tours longer than 45 days can be joined by their partners and children (under 18) for up to two weeks per series. Any deviation requires approval from the coach, captain, and GM Operations.”

Will the Policy Affect Team Morale?

While some might argue that having family around helps players stay relaxed, others believe the new policy will promote team bonding and focus.

Short tours like the Champions Trophy may not require family visits, but longer ones, like the England series, still allow for quality time with loved ones.

With the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 approaching, the spotlight is on Team India—not just for their performance on the field but also for how they adapt to these new rules.

Will this policy help them stay more focused and united? Or could it backfire by adding unnecessary stress? Only time will tell. But one thing is certain: The BCCI is serious about discipline, performance, and results.

Sarfaraz Ahmed Predicts ICC Champions Trophy 2025 Semi-Finalists

ICC-Champions-Trophy-2025-Pakistan-PCB-champions-trophy-basit-ali-pcb-sri-lanka-1996-white-jacket-sarfaraz-ahmed

Former Pakistan captain Sarfaraz Ahmed has shared his semi-final predictions for the upcoming ICC Champions Trophy 2025, which kicks off on February 19 in Pakistan and the UAE.

Sarfaraz Ahmed Predicts

Sarfaraz named Pakistan, India, Australia, and Afghanistan as his top four teams but maintained that the tournament remains wide open.

“If I had to pick four teams for the semi-finals, I would probably choose Pakistan, India, Australia, and Afghanistan, but I would not rule any team out,” he said.

The former captain praised Afghanistan, highlighting their spin attack as a major strength in subcontinent conditions.

“Afghanistan has a strong team. Their spin options are so good, and you will need that to succeed in these conditions,” he added.

Pressure and Opportunity for Pakistan at Home

With Pakistan hosting its first ICC event since 1996, Sarfaraz Ahmed acknowledged the pressure on the home side but also stressed the advantage of playing in familiar conditions.

“Playing at home and being the defending champions will surely add pressure; there will be high expectations, but the fans will get behind them,” he stated.

Sarfaraz expressed confidence in Pakistan’s ability to defend their 2017 title, noting the squad’s blend of experienced players and fresh talent. He highlighted the role of players like Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman, who were part of the 2017 Champions Trophy-winning squad.

“Some of the players from 2017 are still there, and we’re talking about some of the best – especially Babar Azam. Babar is a different player from 2017 – more mature and dominant. His batting will be so important for Pakistan, and so will Fakhar Zaman’s,” he added.

Pakistan vs India – The Biggest Showdown

Sarfaraz described the clash between Pakistan and India as the most anticipated fixture of the tournament. He acknowledged the hype and pressure that always surrounds this iconic rivalry.

“In group matches, everyone will be talking about Pakistan’s match against India, and the game will be huge,” he said.

However, he advised players to treat the high-pressure encounter like any other match.

“Whenever we meet, it is a special occasion, and there is so much hype and pressure. But as players, you need to stay calm, try and block that noise out, and play with the same intensity as you would play against Australia or any other team,” he concluded.

Top 5 Female Entrepreneurs in Pakistan

Top 5 Female Entrepreneurs in Pakistan

In the past decade, Pakistan has seen a surge of strong and determined women who are making their mark in the entrepreneurial landscape. Today, it isn’t just a man’s game anymore. Women are stepping up, breaking barriers and proving that they are just as capable, if not more.

These resolute women have not only built successful businesses but have also inspired countless others to pursue their dreams. In this article, we celebrate five remarkable female entrepreneurs in Pakistan, highlighting their achievements and impact on our society.

Aleena Nadeem

Aleena Nadeem is the founder and CEO of EduFi, a Lahore-based company with the motto “Study Now, Pay Later,” helping students overcome financial barriers to higher education. It empowers Pakistani students by financing their higher education, with Forbes recognising Nadeem on their 30 under 30 list in 2024. An MIT graduate, Aleena previously worked with Goldman Sachs and Ventura Capital before launching EduFi.

Her idea was simple yet powerful—many families live pay cheque to pay cheque and struggle with lump-sum tuition fees. By introducing monthly payment plans, EduFi has made education more accessible. Partnering with 27 Pakistani colleges (a number that is doubling moving on), Aleena’s startup directly pays tuition for approved students. These students then repay the loan in instalments while they study.

Her contributions to the entrepreneurial community have earned her a spot as a judge on Shark Tank Pakistan, where she continues to inspire entrepreneurs.

Jehan Ara

Jehan Ara is a name synonymous with Pakistan’s tech revolution. She has made a massive impact as the former president of P@SHA and the founder of The Nest I/O, a startup incubator that has changed the game for many entrepreneurs. Ara later resigned at the end of April 2021 from P@SHA to start Katalyst Labs, a startup accelerator and women’s leadership programme.

Jehan’s passion for innovation and digital literacy is quite literally contagious. She’s fought for better policies, pushed for more inclusivity in tech and mentored young minds who are now running successful businesses. She’s living proof that real leaders don’t just climb the ladder—they bring others up with them.

In 2016, President Barak Obama invited Ara to speak at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit. In 2023, she was awarded the Tamgha-i-Imtiaz by the President of Pakistan.
