Google is one of the biggest tech giants in the industry. They have been here for a long time and they intend to stay. The innovations being made in technology are quite impressive and are progressing at a brisk pace. The vehicle was invented in the early 1900s and now we have started moving to electrical over combustion engines. Thus, the growth itself is exponential. Just like that, Google’s search engine has improved more over time.

2. Dynamic Search Results

3. Google Typo Correction
We often tend to make typos when writing out URLs. Since a lot of people intend to write fast, a letter can be misplaced here or there. However, according to the recent update, the search engine is going to cater to typos better. It is going to lead you to the correct site even if there is a typo in the address.
4. Bookmarks
Users can now search within their bookmarked folders for access to saved web pages. Pakistan and Australia are set to lock horns in the ICC World Cup 2023 on October 20 at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.
This match promises to add another chapter to their storied cricketing rivalry, as these two cricketing giants have produced some truly unforgettable moments on the world stage.
Let’s revisit five of the most remarkable encounters that have left a lasting impression on the cricketing world.
Sensational spell of Sarfaraz Nawaz (1979)
In a Test match in Melbourne, Pakistan’s pace maestro Sarfraz Nawaz delivered a performance for the ages, single-handedly dismantling Australia’s batting lineup. His astounding figures of 9-86, including one wicket achieved through a run-out, orchestrated a remarkable turnaround.
Australia seemed well on their way to their pursuit of 382 for victory. However, Sarfraz, renowned for his pivotal role in pioneering the art of reverse swing, joined forces with Imran Khan to set a game-changing course.
The hosts, once comfortably positioned at 305-3, suffered a dramatic collapse, ultimately being bundled out for 310. Sarfraz’s spell during the fourth afternoon was nothing short of extraordinary — 7 wickets conceded for a mere 1 run off 33 balls. This extraordinary performance led Pakistan to a triumphant victory with a margin of 71 runs.

Lillee-Miandad fight (1981)
A heated confrontation between Dennis Lillee and Javed Miandad during a Test in Perth remains etched in cricketing folklore.
Pakistan found themselves in a precarious situation, struggling at 27-2 while chasing an imposing target of 543 for victory. It was then that their captain, Miandad, strode to the crease. During his innings, a collision occurred between Miandad and the formidable Lillee in the midst of a run.
This collision escalated swiftly, with heated words exchanged between the two titans. Matters took a contentious turn when Lillee aimed a kick at Miandad’s pads. In response, the resolute captain raised his bat, poised as if to strike back, all while umpire Tony Crafter positioned himself firmly between the two adversaries.
Subsequently, Lillee faced repercussions for his actions, being handed a fine and a two-match suspension in the ODI format. However, the Australian management staunchly maintained that Lillee had been provoked into his actions.

Asif Mujtaba’s last-ball six (1992)
Asif Mujtaba’s cricketing legacy may not have glittered with the same stardom as that of Miandad, but he etched his name in cricketing lore with a moment of sheer brilliance. In the span of his 66 ODIs for Pakistan, he left an indelible mark, particularly for one unforgettable feat.
In a gripping tri-series match against Australia in Hobart, Pakistan found themselves in dire straits at 197-7, following Rashid Latif’s departure. Undeterred, the resilient left-hander, Mujtaba, waged a valiant battle with the bat.
In the closing moments, the equation was daunting: 17 runs needed off the final over. With sheer determination, Mujtaba took on Steve Waugh, unleashing a flurry of shots that sent the ball soaring to all corners of the ground. As the tension peaked, seven runs were required off the very last ball. And then, in a stroke of sheer genius, Mujtaba hammered a six, levelling the match and etching his name in cricketing history.
#OnThisDay in 1992, Asif Mujtaba hit Steve Waugh for six on the final ball of Pakistan's World Series ODI against Australia at Hobart to earn a tie.
In the 1999 World Cup final at Lord’s, the legendary Shane Warne once again demonstrated his penchant for delivering under pressure. The champion leg-spinner showcased his brilliance, finishing with remarkable figures of 4-33 against a formidable Pakistan side.
Opting to bat after winning the toss, Pakistan faced an early onslaught from the Australian fast bowlers, finding themselves on the defensive. It was then that Warne stepped up to weave his magic.
With precision and skill, Warne dismantled Pakistan’s middle-order, claiming the crucial wicket of top scorer Ijaz Ahmed, who departed after scoring 22 runs. This pivotal performance led to Pakistan’s dismissal for a mere 132 runs in 39 overs.
Australia, buoyed by Warne’s outstanding display, efficiently chased down the target, securing their second World Cup title with eight wickets and 29.5 overs to spare. This victory marked a significant milestone in Australian cricket history.

Wahab Riaz’s Fiery Spell (2015)
In the 2015 World Cup quarter-final held in Adelaide, Australia emerged victorious over Pakistan. However, the standout moment of the match was a blistering display of pace bowling from Pakistan’s Wahab Riaz. Riaz, known for his left-arm pace, created havoc for the Australian batsmen, claiming two crucial wickets in their pursuit of a modest 214-run target. The real highlight, though, was the intense duel between Riaz and Australia’s Shane Watson.
Riaz unleashed thunderous bouncers at speeds exceeding 150 kilometres per hour, one of which narrowly missed Watson’s helmet grill. The fiery exchange was punctuated by Riaz’s wry grin and a round of applause. Despite the challenge, Watson skillfully guided Australia to victory, securing a spot in the semi-finals on their way to yet another World Cup title.

As Pakistan and Australia prepare to face off in the ICC Men’s ODI World Cup, fans eagerly anticipate another chapter in their epic rivalry. From Sarfraz Nawaz’s heroics to Wahab Riaz’s fiery spell, these encounters have defined cricketing history. The legacy of these clashes endures, reminding us of the fierce competition that characterizes this storied rivalry.

Faysal Quraishi’s appearance as a guest on Farieha Altaf’s latest podcast has shared some grave insights into major social issues and this is the first time the actor has spoken about literally everything.
Faysal Quraishi On Television Rating Points (TRPs):
A child star, long-time host, and comedy actor Faysal Quraishi’s achievements are no stranger to the public. However, the actor has actively been working on some of the major social issues with the biggest organizations for years now. In conversation with FWhy podcast host Farieha Altaf, Faysal Quraishi recalled his experience as a host and anchor and how he doesn’t do anything for TRPs even if given a chance.
Speaking about his work as a host on Ramadan transmissions, the actor called it a social responsibility to avoid controversies that divide us a nation.
“If I wanted to do something for the rating, it would have been very easy for me. If I invite scholars from three different schools’ thoughts, only one question is enough to start an argument. But if there is an argument that can raise problems, why even discuss that on TV,” Quraishi added.
While talking about the issue of TRPs and public reaction to talk show scandals, he expressed relief to see Pakistani television shows changing for the better.
“A lot of work is being done to eliminate this issue and calm down the public. Many hosts are following through and now you don’t see people fighting on these issues anymore.”
“Thank God we have succeeded in doing so. I have done shows both this year and last year as well and we made sure to not create an issue on the show. So, no I’m not into rating games,” he concluded.
Faysal Quraishi also spoke about his work, earlier life and dark web in detail. Here’s the full interview.

However, due to the market conditions, it is possible that the S24 is not going to have a ‘Plus’ variant. However, there are conflicting reports regarding this rumour. The estimated starting price of the Samsung Galaxy S24 is rumoured to be $799. If there are more variants, the plus variant could be at $999 and the Ultra one could be at $1199.

Lahore,18 October 2023: – Latest research from ACCA examines the ethical dilemmas regularly faced by accountants and other professionals involved in implementing sustainability reporting.
Launched to mark Global Ethics Day the resulting guide, Ethical dilemmas in an era of sustainability reporting, identifies the risks around ethics and independence associated with sustainability reporting.
At a time when the regulatory requirements for sustainability reporting are growing, the guide provides real-world scenarios, written in partnership with academics from Warwick Business School, for accountants and non-accountants to equip them to manage dilemmas often presented by:
Risks of greenwashing
Weak processes
Lacking technical knowledge
Compromises in objectivity and independence.
Further practical support is provided through a checklist of questions to drive better application of the International Ethics Standards Board for Accountants Code principles, including professional scepticism and curiosity. The guide aims to help users avoid consequences such as poor-quality reporting, including ‘greenwashing’, a loss of trust and faulty decision-making.
Report co-author Sharon Machado, head of sustainable business at ACCA, said: “We have a collective obligation to future generations to operate in a sustainable manner, both individually and as organisations, and it’s great to see more and more businesses embracing sustainability reporting. But we need to be alert to the risks and ensure quality and consistency. For professional accountants, this is an opportunity to provide strong leadership and insight, in turn helping to drive ethical and sustainability-focused decision making. This guide will help accountants and other professionals to create balanced reports that are a fair reflection of organisations’ performance and impacts.”
According to Head of ACCA Pakistan, Assad Hameed Khan, “the accountancy profession has historically demonstrated wide and deep technical competencies and a strong ethical core in preparing, presenting, and assuring financial information. Similarly, those attributes are invaluable in reporting on sustainability. Most importantly, public trust in the profession is underpinned by robust global ethics standards, which in turn contribute to confidence in sustainability reporting.”
Report co-authors, Professor Lisa Weaver and Darren Sparkes, associate professor at Warwick Business School, said: “The scenarios contained in this report provide opportunities for individuals and teams to explore some of the ethical tensions that can arise in the complex arena of sustainability reporting. As professionals, we have a moral duty to uphold the ethical code and to champion good practice, within our profession and with professionals from diverse backgrounds, working together to enhance credibility in sustainability reporting.”
To mark Global Ethics Day this year, a Conversation Series kicked off yesterday in Karachi bringing together thought leaders for a panel discussion on the topic “Transforming Culture to Unlock Opportunities: Rethinking Norms and Overcoming Barriers”. Present at the event was former Minister of State for Investment and Founder of Nutshell Group, Muhammad Azfar Ahsan. The series continues in Lahore today and Islamabad tomorrow. More information can be obtained here.

The Lahore High Court has approved bail for Khadijah Shah, a high-end fashion designer, in two cases involving vandalism and arson at both the Lahore Corps Commander House and the Askari Tower in Gulberg on May 9. This bail decision was made by a two-member bench of the high court presided by Justice Alia Neelam.
Khadijah Shah’s Arrest For Arson
These specific cases of arson and vandalism were filed against Khadijah Shah at the Sarwar Road and Gulberg police stations. The court had previously reserved its decision on the bail requests for Khadijah Shah and other individuals on Tuesday.
During the hearing, the police presented Khadijah Shah and other suspects before the court after the completion of their judicial remand. The police had also requested an extension in the remand.
The court accepted the plea and extended the judicial remand of Khadijah Shah, Alia Hamza, and others until October 31.

As per the court’s official cause list, additional suspects in these cases include Usman Sharif, Muhammad Shahbaz, Suleiman Qadri, and Arbaaz. The court’s decision pertained to the post-arrest bail of these individuals.
During the courtroom proceedings, Khadijah Shah’s mother, husband, and sister were in attendance when the reserved decision was disclosed. Notably, the designer’s husband expressed his gratitude to God upon learning that his wife’s petitions had been granted.
Simultaneously, the same division bench extended post-arrest bails to six additional individuals who were accused in the cases related to the May 9 riot, anarchy, and law and order issues. Furthermore, the bench dismissed the bail request of an accused named Sufyan, as it was voluntarily withdrawn.
In the world of politics, symbolism and gestures often carry significant weight, and Pakistan is no exception. Recently, Hina Pervaiz Butt, a prominent member of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), set off a wave of banter and discussions when she appeared wearing a kurti adorned with the image of the former prime minister, Nawaz Sharif.
A Symbolic Wardrobe Choice
Hina Pervaiz Butt’s choice to sport a kurti featuring Nawaz Sharif’s image was far from ordinary. It was a statement that went beyond fashion; it was a political gesture. The PML-N, headed by Nawaz Sharif, has a strong support base, and this choice by Hina Pervaiz Butt appeared to be a show of allegiance and support for her party’s leader.
The photograph of Hina Pervaiz Butt wearing the Nawaz Sharif shirt quickly made its rounds on social media, igniting a firestorm of comments, reactions, and opinions. Many praised her for her loyalty and devotion to the party and its leader, while others used the opportunity to engage in playful banter.
The Power of Political Symbols
In the realm of politics, symbols can be incredibly powerful. They serve as a means of communicating affiliation, loyalty, and ideology. A simple shirt with Nawaz Sharif’s image on it, worn by a prominent party member, carries a message that transcends words. It says, “I stand with Nawaz Sharif and the PML-N.”
The Polarized Political Landscape
Pakistan’s political landscape has been marked by polarization in recent years. The divide between different political parties and their supporters often runs deep. In such an environment, the symbolic gestures of politicians can evoke strong reactions.

Hina Pervaiz Butt’s decision to don the Nawaz Sharif kurti was a bold and unequivocal statement of her allegiance to the PML-N and its leader. In a political climate where individuals often face scrutiny and criticism for their party affiliations, this gesture did not go unnoticed.

Not all the tweets were that brutal:
Some were genuinely interested in the shirt…
Political Expression through Fashion
Likewise, the political landscape of Pakistan witnesses a similar phenomenon with people proudly sporting shirts featuring the charismatic face of Imran Khan, the leader of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party. These PTI shirts serve as a visible expression of support for Khan’s vision and policies. Imran Khan, a cricket legend turned politician who assumed the role of Pakistan’s Prime Minister, has garnered a strong and devoted following.
Just as Hina Pervaiz Butt’s choice to wear a Nawaz Sharif shirt symbolized allegiance to the PML-N, donning Imran Khan’s image on a shirt conveys a clear message too. This practice showcases how clothing has become a powerful canvas for political expression.
What do you think about this political move? Let us know in the comments!

The thrilling victory sent ripples of excitement through the Jinnah Sports Stadium and among fans nationwide. It marked a significant milestone for a country that has faced numerous challenges in the world of international football.
First Leg Ends in a Draw
The first leg of the qualifying match, held in Phnom Penh, concluded in a goalless draw, setting the stage for an intense showdown in the return fixture on Pakistani soil. The lone goal of the match came in the 67th minute when Harun Hamid struck a brilliant half-volley that found the back of Cambodia’s net, igniting joyous celebrations.
Advancing to the Next Round
This victory propels Pakistan into the second round of World Cup qualifiers, where they will face formidable opponents in the form of Saudi Arabia, Tajikistan, and Jordan, setting the stage for another testing journey on the international stage. The win serves as a testament to the hard work, dedication, and perseverance of the players and coaching staff who have longed for this moment of glory.
Source: The Nation
Pakistan’s road to this historic victory was anything but easy. The national team, ranked 197th in the world, had not secured an international win since 2018. Furthermore, FIFA imposed a 15-month ban on Pakistan in April 2021 due to “undue third-party interference.” This was the second ban in four years, severely affecting the team’s progress.
The Constantine Effect
To revive the national team’s fortunes, the appointment of Englishman Stephen Constantine as the new coach brought renewed hope. Constantine had previously coached India’s national team and successfully led them from a ranking of 173rd in 2015 to 97th in December 2018, helping them qualify for the 2019 Asian Cup. His expertise and leadership have been pivotal in Pakistan’s resurgence.
Source: Football Flame
Before their historic win against Cambodia, Pakistan endured a difficult phase, marked by a 13-match losing streak. With Constantine’s guidance and rigorous training, the team began its journey to redemption. Despite facing challenging opposition, they displayed grit and determination.
The Return of International Football
The victory over Cambodia not only signifies Pakistan’s progress on the footballing front but also heralds the return of international football to the country after an eight-year hiatus. The last time Pakistan played an international match on home soil was in 2015 when they faced Afghanistan in Lahore. This breakthrough win is bound to galvanize and inspire a new generation of Pakistani footballers and fans.
As Pakistan continues its journey in the World Cup qualifiers, there is renewed optimism and a sense of purpose within the national team and its supporters. This historic win serves as a reminder that with determination and the right guidance, even the most challenging obstacles can be overcome.

When it comes to maintaining a car, it can be quite a careful process. One has to be sure not to lower the Resale Value of the vehicle. If the car has been damaged quite a lot, then it is bound to be sold at a lower price. People don’t prefer to pay more for vehicles that have been in road collisions or other mishaps. This is why a buyer has to take utmost care of the vehicle unless resale is not their concern.
So, how does one make sure that the resale value of their vehicle is being retained? Are there any tips and tricks that will help you keep your vehicle’s value? Of course there are! If you take care of something, it lasts longer. If you take good care of a car, it is going to give long years even to the next owner.
1. Buffing it Out
It is important to note that all minor dents and scratches to a car should be buffed out. When it comes to dents, people tend to gaze quite a lot over them. They might want to buy at a lesser price because of them. The traffic in Karachi is sure to leave your car dented or scratched in some manner. Timely buffing them out keeps the car’s resale value retained.

2. Avoid Repainting for Resale Value
A car is considered at a good value if it still has its original paint on it. It gives the people a form of satisfaction that the vehicle is well-kept and authentic. While there are certain types of paint that will retain the value if done properly, prefer to keep the original paint if it is just on lesser parts of the vehicle. 3. Timely Oil Changes for Resale Value
If the oil in the engine is changed timely, it keeps the engine running in a pristine condition. Running it on old oil for extended periods of time can make the engine weaker. Experts who know how to buy cars can tell if an engine is weak. In fact, if you feel the acceleration of the engine is taking time and the car itself is not too old, then the engine is weak. A well-kept engine retains the resale value.

4. Tires, Brakes and Battery
Apart from the engine, these are the three most important components of a vehicle. Keep these in a tip top condition and people are sure to love the drive of your vehicle. Spending on these means that the next buyer will not have to and they will pay full price of your demand.

5. Using authentic Spare Parts
If you ever use cheaper or low-quality performance parts in your vehicle, it is sure to decrease in its value. If you are driving a Toyota, make sure that the parts you replace them with are from an authentic brand. Using lower quality parts means that the next buyer is expected to encounter issues. Those who know how to inspect vehicles can tell the difference.

In a world increasingly connected through social media, celebrities often use their online presence to share their thoughts, opinions, and emotions. However, sometimes, their words can spark debates and controversies. Pakistani singer and actor, Farhan Saeed, recently found himself at the centre of a social media storm when he shared his thoughts on Pakistani cricket fans and the India-Pakistan cricket rivalry.
A Frustrated Expression of Disloyalty
In a tweet posted on his official Twitter handle, Farhan Saeed expressed his frustration, stating, “Pakistan cricket fans are the most disloyal fans ever, if the team wins you take the full credit and if they lose, aise haath jhartey hein jaise koi lena dena na ho. At least back your team till the tournament is going on, at least!” This tweet was accompanied by hashtags related to the Cricket World Cup 2023 and the India vs. Pakistan match, signaling Farhan’s disappointment with fans’ reactions during these crucial cricketing events.

While Farhan Saeed’s message may have been rooted in a desire for unwavering support for the Pakistani cricket team, it received a mixed response from netizens.
Some praised him for speaking out against what he saw as disloyalty, emphasizing the importance of unity and backing the team.
However, others vehemently disagreed with his perspective, with one user suggesting that when public figures like Farhan Saeed criticize the emotions of 22 crore people, it can lead to division and negativity.
One user questioned the relationship between India and Pakistan, pointing out that negative propaganda and news could potentially hinder the recent improvements in their ties. This highlights the delicate balance between the love for one’s country and fostering goodwill among neighbours, particularly when it comes to highly charged events like cricket matches.
Cricket Fandom and Emotional Expression
Criticism of fans during sporting events is not unique to Pakistan or any particular country. Emotions run high during these matches, and people often express their feelings in different ways. While some may passionately support their team, others may handle disappointment in their own manner. It’s essential to recognize that not everyone will react the same way.

Netherlands pulled off a historic upset against South Africa, securing a stunning victory in the World Cup 2023.
Scott Edwards’ unbeaten half-century provided the impetus, propelling their bowlers to dismantle South Africa’s formidable batting lineup.
South Africa, coming off dominant wins with totals of 428 and 311 in previous matches looked clear favourites. They had downplayed their previous defeat to the Netherlands in the T20 World Cup and were poised to take revenge.
However, the Netherlands, despite earlier losses to Pakistan and New Zealand, emerged as the underdogs that turned the tables.
Edwards and Roelof van der Merwe played pivotal roles, ensuring a 38-run triumph – a significant milestone for the Netherlands against South Africa in ODIs.
Netherlands found themselves at 50 for 4, and later at 140 for 7 in the first innings. However, a remarkable surge in the final nine overs, led by Edwards (78 not out off 69), van der Merwe (29 off 19), and Aryan Dutt (23 off 9), set a formidable target of 246.
This was an improbable feat given South Africa’s pace attack, including Kagiso Rabada, Marco Jansen, Gerald Coetzee, and Lungi Ngidi.

Van der Merwe’s explosive start in South Africa’s run chase, claiming two wickets for three runs in his initial eight balls, set the tone. Colin Ackermann and Paul van Meekeren joined the early wicket-taking spree, leaving the favourites reeling at 44 for 4.
Quinton de Kock’s dismissal, attempting a paddle shot off Ackermann, followed by Bavuma’s stumps being shattered by van der Merwe’s delivery, left South Africa struggling. Markram’s defences were breached by van Meekeren’s low-bouncing delivery, and van der Dussen’s reverse sweep led straight to Dutt at backward point.
However, a brief partnership between David Miller and Heinrich Klaasen looked promising with a run-a-ball 45. Nonetheless, van Beek’s return to the Netherlands side proved pivotal. Klaasen’s dismissal, which was followed by Miller’s departure tilted the match in the Netherlands’ favour. David Miller scored a fighting 43 from 52 balls.

Keshav Maharaj and Ngidi’s 41-run stand for the 10th wicket gave some respite to South African fans. However, van Beek dismissed Maharaj, sealing the result with one ball to spare.
