Renfield is a horror comedy about the tortured aide to his narcissistic boss, Dracula, who is forced to procure his master’s prey and do his every bidding. However, after centuries of servitude, he’s ready to see if there’s a life outside the shadow of the Prince of Darkness.

It will release on April 14, 2023.

4. The Nun 2

Releasing on September 8, 2023, director Michael Chaves is once again giving the fans what they want. All Conjuring, Annabelle, and The Nun fans eagerly wait for more sequels and prequels to this film series. This part of the movie takes Sister Irene’s life further. Can’t wait!

5. The Exorcist

After the iconic old 1973 The Exorcist, this new movie is set to hit screens on October 13th. However, director David Gordon Greene has not given many details on what to expect but what can be expected is that it will be a very heart-wrenching horror movie.

6. The Bogeyman

Director Rob Savage will be releasing this movie about high school student Sadie Harper and her younger sister, Sawyer, who are still reeling from the recent death of their mother. When a desperate patient unexpectedly shows up at their house seeking help, he leaves behind a terrifying supernatural entity. It is said to be released on June 2, 2023.

7. Saw X

Saw X is an upcoming American horror film directed by Kevin Greutert and written by Josh Stolberg and Peter Goldfinger. The film is the tenth part overall in the Saw film series and is said to be released on October 27 this year.

Toward the end of the conversation, Rabya added how people need to build tolerance in themselves and how not everything on the internet is that deep. But with that being said she stated that it was never their intention to hurt anyone’s religious sentiments.

Low-Priced Petrol Scheme Is Under Works, Says Musadik Malik

Petrol has now become one of the most expensive resources in Pakistan. It won’t take long before we see everyone cycling to their work and or school. Unlike the economy of Pakistan, petrol prices increase almost every other day. As a result people’s frustration and hopelessness also grow and that too by the minute. But fortunately, Musadik Malik, Minister of State for Petroleum has claimed that low-priced petrol schemes are in the works. However, the final verdict will be out once this is discussed with careful consideration alongside other stakeholders.

While speaking to the media, the minister mentioned that several proposals were being considered to facilitate eligible citizens, such as utilizing the BISP network, issuing subsidy cards, or generating one-time passwords. The state news agency also reported that petroleum dealers had presented some suggestions. The ministry was carefully reviewing all of the suggestions and would choose the most practical ones in consultation with stakeholders, to ensure effective implementation of the relief scheme.

Additionally, the minister stated that the petroleum dealers association and trade bodies were cooperating with the government to ensure an adequate supply of POL products and prevent black marketing and hoarding of fuel. He emphasized that the government would not tolerate such illegal activities and would take strict action against them. However, if this is just “all talk and no game” and no implementation then people are yet to be disappointed again.

Other than petrol, Pakistani citizens are also deprived of gas and electricity for more than half of the day. They do not have good transport or even good roads as a matter of fact. Regarding the gas shortage issues since winter, Musaid Malik stated that ways have been developed based on the consumption of natural gas, which would protect 60 percent of consumers with lower consumption levels. However, for those who consume more than 0.9 cubic hectometers of gas volume, the rates would increase. The speaker also emphasized that the gas tariff had been raised only for those who could afford it, while low-income and middle-class consumers were not burdened with the increased rates.

The minister also admitted that Pakistan and Russia’s discussions regarding crude oil had been going well. So it can be expected that Pakistan will receive crude oil in the next month or so.

[Translation of (late) Mr. & Mrs. Latif Kapadia’s interview published in Sunday Magazine of Daily Jang [Urdu Daily] on December 25, 1999, which was later on included in the book “Chaand Chehre” by Qaiser Masood Jafri – a renowned journalist, author and poet from Karachi, Pakistan].

Latif Kapadia is a versatile and senior actor, who is associated with PTV from its inception. He informed us that his correct surname is ‘Kaa-per-ya’ [means cloth merchant in Gujurati language] but people usually pronounced the same with the sound of the English alphabet-‘D’, and called Kapadia. Latif’s father was a renowned homeopathic practitioner in Pakistan and once a week he used to hold free clinics at his home in Gurumandir [Jamshed Quarters] residence in Karachi. This weekly free clinic continued after the demise of Latif’s father by his younger brother.

Latif Kapadia started his acting career in 1953 from a stage drama. His first stage play was “Shehnaz”. He performed in yet another stage play – “Shishay Ka Aadmi” with Yasmeen Ismail as his co-star. He became a popular actor after appearing in the famous PTV Comedy Show “Fifty Fifty”. He has worked in numerous TV drama serials and individual plays. He has also worked in a movie-Very Good Dunya. Very Bad Log, under the banner of Nadeem Mandviwalla’s Mandviwalla Films. Latif Kapadia has been expressing his passion for music more vigorously than acting. He has told us that he was regularly into singing in 1950. He got married in 1951 and he has four daughters [Aquila, Tahira, Jamila, Rabia] and a son [Ahmed Hussain Kapadia]. Ahmed Kapadia is also associated with showbiz in a way through an Advertising Agency. Our conversation [Q&A] with Latif Kapadia and Amna Kapadia is presented here for our readers:

Q: Was your marriage arranged?

Latif: Completely arranged marriage.

Amna: Yes. My mother liked him for me.

Q: Did you meet your wife before the wedding?

Latif. Yes. I met her in my childhood as she happened to be my second cousin.

Amna. Of course, we met each other in our childhood.

Q: Have you ever given her a gift when you met her for the very first time?

Latif: Hey Friend! What did you ask? In fact, I presented myself with a gift, no gift was presented on ‘muh dikhai’ [sighting of face of the bride very first time after getting married]. This was not a custom in our family.

Amna. This custom of ‘muh dikhai’ was never adopted in our community.

Q: Where did you go for a honeymoon trip after your wedding?

Latif: Nowhere. I brought her here in Pakistan and enjoyed this entire journey as a fun packed trip.

Amna: I shifted to Pakistan after my wedding as Latif and his family were travelling to India on a fifteen days permit.

Q: Who invited you both as your first host after the wedding?

Latif: First invitation was from my sister [aapa], most probably.

Amna: First invitation was received from his close friend, Muhammad Ali Maniar.

Q: Do you go to your in-laws passionately?

Latif: I go to my in-laws with great passion.

Amna: His in-laws were thousands of miles away in another country, so he visited my home in India after almost 26 years.

Q: Do you celebrate your wedding anniversary?

Latif: Yes, celebrate but in a sober manner. We will celebrate our Golden Jubilee i.e. 50 years of our wedding in 2001, Inn Shah Allah, with much grandioseness.

Amna: Yes, our children come together, we dine together and that makes us feel very happy.

Q: How did you celebrate your first wedding anniversary?

Latif. Dear brother, our family is quite religious, we did not celebrate our first wedding anniversary at all. We congratulated each other and that was all.

Amna: Since we live in a joint family. Mother-in-Law, Father-in-law, brother in-laws, we all live together. We could not talk to our in-laws freely due to his awe/ terror, so how could a wedding anniversary be celebrated?

Q: Did you present any gift?

Latif: Why are you teasing me? When there was no celebration, could any question of a gift arise?

Amna: Latif presented me with a purse on our first anniversary as a gift.

Latif: Kids really take care of us, they all come along and my friends also come to greet us.

Latif: Yes every now and then we do.

Latif: I usually give gifts in the form of clothes.

Amna: I receive gifts of Saree/Sarhi [is a garment, consisting of an un-stitched stretch of woven fabric arranged over the body as a robe, traditionally worn in India, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nepal.], Perfumes, etc., too often.

Q: Who loves children the most between you two?

Latif: My wife, but me too.

Amna: I love them the most.

Q: Who do children love the most?

Latif: They love their mother the most.

Amna: My son, Ahmed, loves me the most.

Latif: Right now grandchildren are being loved more.

Amna. According to a maxim, “Interest is much more endeared than the principal”, so we also love our grandsons and granddaughters more than our own children. These kids are, in fact, the splendor of my home.

Latif: I call her ‘Aman’ [peace].

Latif: I am a very stubborn guy. My father used to call me ‘Arrial Tattoo [stubborn as a mule]’.

Can Humans Live Longer Than Expected Now? Here’s What Scientists Say

A new study shows chances of humans living way longer than expected. This means that the human lifespan and life expectancy rates might be increasing. Now, how one takes this is purely subjective. If you have your life sorted and want to enjoy the pleasures of a good existence then you might want to live till you’re 120, 130, or even 140 years.

But if you’re miserable and have no interest in living till tomorrow much less for the next 100 years or so this might be bad news for you. However, covid has been a hindrance to the increase of one’s life span. Here is a graph so you can better understand this.

Moving on, a human’s life span has been increasing over time and it is expected to increase even further. However, reaching that maximum human age is still not known but researchers predict that it is not anytime soon. So, there’s a genius named Dr. David McCarthy who teaches at the University of Georgia, and he made this fancy but almost completely accurate model that predicts how long people can live. According to him, there’s a good chance that someone born in the 1940s in Britain will live longer than the oldest person they knew of, who was a lady named Jeanne Calment. She lived to be 122 years and 164 days old before she passed away in 1997.

The oldest person alive on Earth today is María Branyas Morera who is 115 years old she has lived through two world wars, the Spanish civil war, the 1918 flu pandemic, and Covid. So, she probably has a really good chance of giving these doctors what they want. Maybe she will reach the maximum human lifespan. Dr. McCarthy thinks that someone born in the same era can live anywhere between 120 and 128 years old. Now that’s pretty insane if you ask me! But he also claims that when someone hits 115 years old, they’ve got a 50-50 chance of making it through the next year.

But get this, according to his model, there’s a chance that a person born in 1970 could live all the way up to 141 years old. But this further depends on the gender of the person. For women, the max is expected to be around 131 years old. Now, I know what you’re thinking that guys usually don’t live as long as girls, right? But Dr. McCarthy thinks that might just be because of the way men live their lives. In reality, he says that men might actually have the ability to outlive women biologically. Although, this only time will tell.

The establishment of a Tourist Facilitation Centre (TFC) at the entrance to Neelum Valley, Pakistan’s most well-known tourist destination, is the initial stage of this collaboration.

Some important announcements include Shaheen Shah’s return to international cricket. After injuring his knee severely, Shaheen Shah has stayed off the field for almost 4 months now. Pakistani fans are early waiting to see him perform live now. No doubt the New Zealand team will be prepared to face old-time Pakistani cricketers but this year they will also be competing against three new and fresh players. Hopefully, Ihsanullah, Saim Ayub, and Zaman Khan will give a tough time to them.

Zafar Abbas Talks About Challenging Mafia & How He’s In Danger

Zafar Abbas is one of the most influential and popular human rights activists in Pakistan right now. He has done most of his work for the people of Karachi. He also owns Jafriya Disaster Management Cell Welfare Organization commonly known as JDC Foundation Pakistan. It is a nonprofit and non-governmental organization. It runs on volunteer work that is mainly contributed by the youth of the city.

Zafar Abbas is one of those people that has always spoken boldly and bravely knowing well that it may pose a threat to his life. He is well known for his habit of calling people out for their wrongdoings and going to extreme lengths to serve the people of Karachi during hard times.

He recently appeared in a YouTube interview/podcast where he spoke on many topics related to Karachi mafias and even predicted his death.

He starts by talking about how people should start speaking ad working for themselves rather than just sitting and waiting for someone else to come and do everything for them. What he meant by saying this is that Karachi is being run by several “mafias” and if people want to get rid of these mafias they will have to stand by him. He then further mentions how he, along with the people of Karachi worked together to fix the electricity poles so they do not kill little children when it rains.

Zafar Abbas acknowledged that the people did that for themselves. He stated that they stood by him and now their children are safe from getting electrocuted when it rains. He also talks about the “boycott fruit” movement that has been going on in Karachi against fruit vendors. He claims that all such supported groups who try to loot the citizens in different ways are all “mafias” and have to be fought against with unity.

He further stated, “Ye mafias mujhe ek din ibratnaak maut maren ge kyun ke Pakistan ki tareekh main aj tak aesa boycott nahi hua hai.” Nadir Ali the interviewer even asked if this was a prediction to which Zafar Abbas replied that he was absolutely certain of it because “mafias have never lost in Pakistan.” He further exposes these mafias by telling Nadir that they would sell fruit worth 5 crores for the price of 30 crores, they would never listen to the authorities or follow the state budget lists and that’s why the public boycotted them, and reminded them of their place.
