The ad which features Imran Ashraf, Zara Noor, and Attiqua Odho, has everything from catchy music to dance moves to colorful aesthetics. However, the amalgamation of all these elements doesn’t sit right and the entire commercial is overwhelming, to say the least.

British Company Releases A Holy Kaaba Engraved Gold Bar

Right before Ramadan, The Royal Mint, the nation’s oldest business, and authorized coin-maker has produced a gold bar for the nation’s Muslim population that features the Kaaba, Islam’s holiest site. According to the news, the 20-gram bar was developed in collaboration with the Welsh Muslim Council. According to Zawya, the cost of the Kaaba 20g gold bar (999.9 Fine Gold) starts at £1,112.58.

The Royal Mint donated three of the bars to be auctioned off as part of the launch, according to The National, to help raise money for the victims of the 7.8-magnitude earthquake that rocked Turkey and Syria last month. The natural calamity resulted in the deaths of more than 50,000 individuals.

Despite Economical Difficulties, Jazz Spent PKR 52 Billion In FY22 To Upgrade Its Network.

On March 16, 2023, in Islamabad, Jazz’s revenue decreased 2.6% in USD terms during the fourth quarter of 2022 despite a 24.3% YoY growth in total revenues in local currency. This decline was primarily caused by the devaluation of the Pakistani rupee, while the margins were constrained by an exponential rise in operational costs, including fuel, electricity, interest rates, and foreign exchange.

Fuel and electricity price increases of 71% and 53% YoY, respectively, were countered by a one-time impact from the provision’s reversal.

Despite macroeconomic difficulties, Jazz maintained its market dominance by investing more than PKR 52 billion in FY 22 to further its “4G for all” ambition, bringing its total investment in Pakistan to US$10.4 billion. Jazz also continued to focus on advancing digital inclusion and improving the quality of services for its customers. Jazz had 73.7 million mobile subscribers overall during the reporting year, with 41.3 million of those using 4G and 10 million using Voice-over-LTE (VoLTE), which provides a more immersive communication experience.

Due to the success of its digital services throughout the quarter, Jazz has cemented its status as the preferred lifestyle choice for Pakistan’s 123 million mobile broadband subscribers. With 16.4 million monthly active users and 186,000 active merchants, JazzCash is the most widely used mobile wallet in Pakistan. In FY22, it recorded 2.1 billion transactions with a gross transaction value of PKR 4.2 trillion. The self-care app Jazz World, on the other hand, continued to experience strong levels of consumer uptake, with 12.7 million monthly active users. At the same time, Tamasha, Pakistan’s biggest domestic OTT site, has 4.3 million active monthly users.

Aamir Ibrahim, CEO of Jazz, said, “Despite an unprecedented increase in operating costs and restrictions on importing essential telecom equipment, we are making an all-out effort to optimize and enrich customer experience through consistent network investments and our robust digital services portfolio. Higher user engagement in digital services and recognition of Jazz as the fastest mobile broadband provider, by Ookla, in Pakistan further validates our commitment to offering the best-in-class services to our customers.”

The declining value of the rupee versus the dollar makes telecom equipment more expensive, he continued, even though Pakistan’s telecom business has a dollarized cost structure in terms of spectrum fees, capital expenditures, and fuel. Also, the cost of financing has doubled due to rising interest rates. For the services to continue to get better over the following 12 months, the average income per user in this case needs to go from $0.75, which is the lowest in the world right now, to at least $1.5 per user. For its part, Jazz will use conservative inflationary pricing and an accelerated growth attitude to help manage this digital disaster.

On March 15, 2023, the financial results of Shell Pakistan Limited (SPL) for the fiscal year that ended on December 31, 2022, were disclosed by the board of directors of the business. At a meeting led by Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif on Monday, significant decisions about aid for the poor and middle class were made. It was decided that the government would take all reasonable steps to protect motorcycle and rickshaw drivers from inflation, according to the prime minister, who claimed that they are among the economically disadvantaged members of society.

Senior officials from key departments, including the former prime minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, federal minister for finance Ishaq Dar, adviser to the prime minister Ahad Cheema, minister of state for petroleum Dr. Mossadegh Malik, and others, attended the meeting.

The federal government has now decided to provide gasoline for motorbikes and rickshaws at a discounted price. The conference, which was briefed on the inexpensive gasoline supply for motorcycles and rickshaws, was presided over by Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. According to the Prime Minister, having a backup strategy is helpful in case something goes wrong.

The program will ensure that rickshaws and motorcyclists can always find affordable petrol. The Prime Minister has also decided to carry out the free flour distribution program for Islamabad’s lower and middle classes during Ramadan One million people will get free flour during Ramadan.

The Prime Minister ordered that 8,500 utility stores and an extra 20,000 distribution locations be set up for the benefit of the general public in order to ensure the efficient distribution of flour and the use of new technologies to make the distribution of free flour transparent has also been ordered by the prime minister.

Javed Akhtar Says India Owns Urdu, Not Pakistan

The Indian poet and author Javed Akhtar, who has recently been making contentious claims regarding Pakistan, asserted that Urdu is not a language of Pakistan but rather of India or Hindustan. He made these remarks when discussing the value of the language during a launch party for the Urdu poetry collection “Shayarana – Sartaj,” which he and his wife Shabana Azmi attended, according to the Hindustan Times.

Akhtar remarked during the ceremony that Urdu is an Indian language and does not belong to Pakistan or Egypt. He stated, “This language did not come from outside, it is our own language, it is not spoken outside Hindustan.”Because Pakistan itself was only a part of India before it was divided from that country. Akhtar continued.

Although Urdu is the native tongue of all of India, the Indian poet claimed that Punjab was crucial in its promotion and popularisation. He emphasized, “It is not correct to consider Urdu to be a Pakistani language”. “Punjab has a big contribution towards Urdu and it is the language of India! But why did you leave this language? Because of Partition? Because of Pakistan? Urdu should be given attention,” he said.

He commented on Indians who think Urdu is a language of Pakistan and questioned whether they would accept it if Pakistan annexed all of Kashmir. He also stated that the value of the Urdu language should be emphasized because the younger generation in India has lost track of it. He complained that English is given more attention now. He later added that given that Hindi is their national language, they must communicate in it.

Javed Akhtar further spoke about how language is not related to religion and that it is wrong to link languages with religion as language is not related to religion but to regions. “Therefore, Urdu is not the language of any religion but of India,” he clarified.

The implants are given to patients whose chest wall has been partially removed during therapy, and they are made using rib scans that precisely match the missing bones to produce a mold on a printer. The conventional method of closing rib holes created by the surgeon to reach the malignant area may not always suit the anatomy well and can make breathing more difficult.
