Channel 4 created an ad that was imprinted on a double-decker bus and it has gone viral… for all the wrong reasons. Though many hold that all publicity is good publicity, in this case, we might just see the exception.

Channel 4 is a free-to-air British public network and the double-decker bus which was imprinted by them was also spotted in the UK. The ad is basically that they have written a sexual innuendo for each compartment on the upper deck. Have a look at it!

Tracy King is the person who spotted it and couldn’t stay quiet about it. She is a writer and producer based in London and she was simply appalled by the ad. Many passengers may be unaware when they step into the bus and take their seat that Channel 4 has categorised them into something sexual. French Vogue Under Fire Over Their Remarks On Julia Fox’s Head Scarf

The new love interest of Kanye West Julia Fox is not just attending fashion shows alongside him but she’s also making headlines. Recently, the model attended an Haute couture show in Paris while wearing a scarf on her head. The picture was posted on the official Instagram handle of the french magazine ‘Vogue’.

In a now edited post, the publication is under fire for their remarks for praising the scarf. The remarks were deemed hypocritical given the french senate passed a bill opposing headscarves for women across the nation on 18th January.

The French Senate also voted to ban hijabs for female athletes.

“Yes to the headscarf!” The picture captioned. The caption was later edited to remove the reference to the headscarf. However, the damage had already been done and many shared their reviews regarding the publication’s remarks for being tone-deaf and irresponsible.

Previously, the ex-wife of Kanye West was also praised for sporting a fully covered head at the met gala 2021. The influencer was spotted in a Balenciaga look and she got away with all the backlash in the name of high fashion because – BALENCIAGA!

“White women wear a headscarf and its couture. Black and Brown women wear hijab and it is oppression or a war on secularism.” Another user followed.

“Reminds me of Vogue hailing braids as ‘trendy’ when Kim Kardashian wore them, as if Black women haven’t been wearing them forever (acknowledging this isn’t religion, but white women getting praise for doing things non-white women have always done).”

That sounds about right! This could be called a clear case of cultural appropriation but sadly the hijab/scarfs are not given enough respect, to begin with.

BMW Group Significantly Increases Use Of Low-Carbon Steel

The BMW Group continues to reduce CO2 emissions in its supplier network as part of its ambitious ongoing sustainability activities. Steel produced using natural gas or hydrogen and green power, instead of fossil resources like coal, makes a vital contribution to this.

The BMW Group has now signed a corresponding agreement with Salzgitter AG for the delivery of low-carbon steel. New agreement with Salzgitter AG will provide for delivery of low-carbon steel starting 2026.

BMW Group expands sourcing of low-carbon steel to two suppliers, meeting up to 40% of steel demand at European plants. As a result, CO2 emissions savings will sore up to 400,000 tons per year. Meanwhile, steel remnants from BMW Group plants will be reused in established circular economy.

The Agreement 

“This is an important step in substantially reducing CO2 emissions at source in the supplier network,” said Joachim Post, member of the Board of Management of BMW AG responsible for Purchasing and Supplier Network.

“Our aim is to reduce vehicles’ lifecycle carbon footprint with a holistic approach. With steel, in particular, we are leading the way by sourcing low-carbon steel for our plants in Europe in the future.”

The BMW Group already signed an agreement with Swedish startup H2 Green Steel in October of last year. H2 Green Steel will supply the BMW Group’s European plants with steel produced exclusively using hydrogen and green power from renewable energies from 2025 onwards. This process will reduce CO2 emissions by around 95%.

Together, the two agreements will supply over 40% of the steel required by the company’s European plants and save around 400,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. BMW Group press plants in Europe process more than half a million tonnes of steel per year.

Jazz Increases Network Capacity With State-Of-The-Art 800G Link Technology

internet and broadband service provider, has deployed Pakistan’s first 800G link technology on its network, augmenting the existing user experience for data services. Currently, the 800G Transport Lambda is carrying live customer traffic across the Karachi metro region with plans underway for further expansions.

With a network backbone capacity of 3.7 Tbps, 800G Transport Lambda will benefit customers by increasing the data-carrying capacity resulting in an improved user experience for data services. In a single second, customers will be able to stream 360,000 HD video as opposed to 180,000 in the 400G network and download 140,000 songs compared to 70,000 at the same time, amongst other features. 800G is 8 times the capacity of the traditional 100G technology network and can support up to 1 million concurrent 4K users.

Tesla Can Now Disable Your Seat Control Thanks To The New Feature

According to the reports, the upcoming Tesla car would offer a new feature. The features will offer a new setting for seat controls and will begin to be available to the new vehicles fresh from the factory of the Elon Musk-founded car maker.

The New Feature

The new feature of Tesla measures the number of times a user adjusts the in-car seats. Once it becomes “excessive” for the standards of its metrics, the controls will be disabled for a couple of minutes. So, Tesla EV owners will have to wait during that time until they can mess up with the position of their car seats once again.

However, the new feature would warn its users that they have been adjusting their seats too much, as detected by the “seat abuse” metrics before it becomes unusable for a short time.

The controls will get disabled temporarily, in case the users ignore the warnings and proceed with seat adjustments.

According to the reports, Tesla will feature new seat motors in upcoming vehicles, specifically for the Model Y and Model 3.

The Seat Metrics 

The new “abuse” metrics feature primarily detects if someone is adjusting the in-car seats more than it could handle. The Tesla hacker disclosed the metrics that the seat controls features subscribes to, noting that adjusting the seats for a total of 90 seconds in just 5 minutes would set off a warning.

On the other hand, its controls would be disabled temporarily if the seat positions have been changed for 120 seconds under the 5 minute time.

According to the report you will have to do “a lot of fiddling” with the in-car seat controls to have it disabled temporarily.

Choosing medicine as a profession might not be an issue for most women but following the career path sure is. Meanwhile, it is further proven by statistics that every 1 out of 4 women pursues their career professionally.

The question was raised by Humayun Saeed on a social media platform. He shared his views about the whole situation and questioned whether now is the time to think about a new project to highlight the issue.

Taking to his Twitter the Humayun Saeed shared,

“Disappointed to find out that only 1 out of 4 female doctors practice after graduation in Pakistan because of family pressure. Thinking of a new project, maybe to highlight this issue. Let’s encourage women to pursue their dreams. #DoctorBahu,” he wrote.

The doctor bahu is one of the most demanding labels people look for while Rishta hunting. That too is only for women to leave their jobs and work as a house-wife after the marriage.

In this latest clip, the protagonist, Feroze Khan in the drama serial Aye Musht-e-Khaak, is simply going wild. He’s roaring on his own mother and going haywire while sitting at the wheel of his car. We can’t really make out any dialogues which in itself is a problem. It appears the actor may have gotten too into it to the extent that he forgot to clearly make out the words. Regardless, we did catch onto “mujhe khush karne wali baatein kyun nai karti?”

Punjab Police has created a new app dedicated to the safety of women in Pakistan. The app comes with a host of controls and ways to ensure women are protected and that police is well within their reach. Here’s all you need to know about the app.

The Women’s Safety App

The app has been created according to Chief Minister Buzdar’s vision. The idea was to create an app for women’s safety which is easy to use yet can also help them in dire situations. The purpose of the app is that wherever women are, if they feel unsafe, they can get help from this app immediately. To help women immediately is the priority of the punjab police and it also appears they have dedicated themselves to it.

How To Use The App

When you download the app, it will first ask you to feed in your phone number. Once your phone number is added, you will receive a 5 digit private code. Feed the code back in the app and you’ll begin the registration process.

Now the bio-data menu will pop up in which you will feed all your private information. It is important to note that all the details must be correct and are provided. This is because many features can also alert your family members in addition to police. Once your bio-data is completely filled, the apps controls will become available to you.

What Can The App Do?

The first control you will see when the app opens up will be the big “ALERT” button. This button is meant to use in threatening and chaotic situations. By tapping on alert, the police and your family members will be immediately alerted. This way they can reach your location to your safety.

Another control is tat a single click can put you through to emergency 15 helpline. On the other end of the app, there is the Punjab Police’s whole call centre which will immediately attend your call and come to rescue or protect you. Besides calling the helpline, there are also options to call police, call highway petrol, call rescue are available etc.

You Can Help Other Women Through It

Moreover, you can also give review of places you have been to on the app so other women can benefit form that. The places with bad security or danger can be highlighted and women can avoid that. Women also have the option of talking to help on the app too.

In short, this app is an incredible initiative to ensure women’s protection in Punjab.

Apple, today, seeded the first betas of iOS 15.4, iPadOS 15.4 to developers for testing purposes. Now adding a slew of new features to the latest iOS operating systems. iOS 15.4 is the biggest update that we’ve had to iOS 15 to date. It brings Universal Control, Face ID with a mask, new emojis, and tons more.

1. Universal Control 

iPadOS 15.4 and macOS Monterey 12.3 enable the long-awaited Universal Control feature. The features allow you to use a single cursor and keyboard to control the iPads and Macs that are signed into your iCloud account.

Universal Control is super easy to use and enabled by default once you upgrade to iPadOS 15.4 and ‌macOS Monterey‌ 12.3. If you have a MacBook and an iPad, the MacBook’s trackpad and keyboard can also be used right on the ‌iPad‌’s display.

There are new settings for Universal Control on the ‌iPad‌ and the Mac, and on the ‌iPad‌, the option to toggle it on or off is listed under Handoff & Airplay.

Now more and more emotions are getting recognition as spring iOS updates often bring new emoji characters, and iOS 15.4 is no exception. The beta introduces support for Emoji 14. Adding 37 emoji and 75 skin tone additions for a total of 112 new characters.

The new face emojis include saluting face, face with open eyes and hand over mouth, face with peeking eye, and more.

Meanwhile, the hand emojis include multiple including a heart and index pointing at the viewer, along with an update to the handshake emoji.

Face ID with a mask can be enabled after updating to iOS 15.4. It is designed to use the area around your eyes for authentication purposes.
