Changan Automobile showcases a new micro electric vehicle, the Changan Lumin, which features a new LOGO. Built on the Changan EPA0 platform, the new EV under Avatr will be Avatr Lumin Corn which is going to be a mini electric hatchback.
Lumin EV Variants
Ads reports released by the Chinese media, the company is launching the two variants of mini electric Avatr Lumin Corn. One is powered with a 35 kW LFP battery from CATL that generates 48 horsepower and has a range of up to 210 kilometres. Meanwhile, the other consists of a 30 kW LFP battery from Gotion Hightech that generates 41 horsepower and has a range of up to 150 kilometres. Both variants will have a top speed of 101 km/h.
An animation video is doing rounds by the Changan Lumin Corn on its official social media channels. The quirky details about the car’s exterior and interior are available in the video. There are two doors, four seats, circular LED lights, pop-out door handles, and engine push start.
An infotainment screen, an LCD metre, a climate control system, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and more deck the car’s interior.
Wuling Vs Lumin Corn
The opponent of this car is undoubtedly Wuling Hongguang MINIEV, as can be seen. Wuling Hongguang MINIEV ranked first in the new energy vehicle sales list in February 2022. According to relevant data, 26,116 units were sold.
Besides the Wuling Hongguang Mini EV, Changan Lumin Corn will also compete with other Chinese electric hatchbacks, Chery QQ Ice Cream, Chery eQ1, and Baojun KiWi EV.
Many people have praised the automobile for its low price and compact design since its release. Its official price ranges from 28,800 yuan to 50,600 yuan at the moment. Using this as a benchmark, Changan’s “glutinous corn” should have a similar end price.

Apple’s upcoming iPhone 14 base models won’t get a new chip upgrade according to analyst Ming-Chi Kuo. Those buying an iPhone 14 Pro can look forward to a new A16 chip, however.
Recently, there have been reports that the Bionic A16 processor will likely use the 4nm manufacturing process. However, the company will only use the 3nm process for the A17 Bionic at the earliest.
Previously it was announced that the only two Pro models of iPhone 14 would upgrade to the A16 processor, while the 14 & 14 Max will remain the A15.

The two more affordable iPhone models retaining the same chip as the previous year could be a major new point of differentiation between the standard and “Pro” iPhone models. Controversial advertising is a thing and has been a part of our industry for as long as we can remember. Despite trying to shatter the stigma and advocating for body positivity, brands have still a long way to go. In a recent instance, a renowned cooking oil brand launched its new ad, and they are taking body shaming to a whole new level.
The Cooking Oil Ad
The concept is based on a kid who loves himself some roadside snacks, and who doesn’t? The ad starts with a kid asking his mother for a plate of kachori. Portrayed as a foodie, he asks for a second, then a third plate. However, he immediately starts complaining about a stomachache.
The scene follows the dramatic entry of two inspectors who questions the quality of the cooking oil used by the vendor. Saying a few things about the quality of oil and how consumers should only consume food cooked in Meezan Oil, they blame consumers for not knowing what type of oil is used in roadside cafes.
However, what took the attention of social media was the closing comment which stated,
“Meezan main bana khana khilaen, is bachay ko burger se insan banaen.”
The spoken words aren’t only derogatory, but they also normalise body-shaming. In a society which is taking too long to un-learn such words, it doesn’t help anyone yet only adds to the problem. The brand should know better and get the scripts reviewed multiple times for any sensitive comments.
Likewise, the type of oil used is not relevant to the weight gain, and hence the link drawn and the choice of words could’ve been better for the said commercial.

Adeel Chaudhry’s latest video brings a lot to our minds and hearts in terms of how we act this month. We are all well aware that Ramadan is the month of mindful eating and all things good for Muslims. If that is the case, why are all of us wasting such obscene amounts of food at restaurants nowadays? Here’s what Adeel Chaudhry has asked us to introspect:
Adeel Chaudhry noticed these things when he visited a famous restaurant for a buffet. He saw two men who were overloading their plate beyond the plate’s capacity. We all know people who do that or might even be those people ourselves! When Chaudhry asked them why they are doing so, he replied saying, “my friend is giving a treat, paise toh poore karne hain.”
Both the men were in a similar “vibe” and simply wasting food in a very absurd manner. Chaudhry also pointed out that he wasted more than half his plate and then went for a “second round”. Have a look at his video and detailed caption:
It is estimated that we are wasting 40% of our food nowadays, a lot more than our average rate. Why does the percentage climb up in Ramadan? Pakistan is a country that has more than 40% of people living below its poverty line yet those on top continue to waste food this extravagantly.

The issue is with people who are not mindful of what they can eat or can not eat. However, the issue is also with the nature of buffets. These all-you-can-eat buffets or the ‘Iftar and Dinner’ buffets put a load of dishes in front of you. People want to try everything so they put in mega quantities only to realize they are neither hungry nor like it enough.
The entire idea behind Ramadan is that we fast to feel what many others feel in their lives constantly: hunger. When we try to emulate these people, we must also recognize they can not open their fasts this lavishly. Fasting the entire day and then eating so much that you can not move is not what the spirit of Ramadan is like.

Every famous car brand, which you may have heard of, has numerous vehicles under its belt. Over the decades, many cars have been added to the brands’ roster. Where we only used to see roadsters or jeeps, we now see sedans too. Some of the most famous brands in history are Mercedes, BMW, Cadillac, Chrysler, Jaguar, Rolls Royce and many more. However, there have been times when such luxury brands have come out with vehicles that were better off on paper.
By paper, we mean that the vehicles should not have come into production. At the time of their release, they were hyped up a lot and even used in pop culture areas. However, when the public actually got to drive them, they realized that these luxury cars were not all that they were talked up to be. They went down in history as some of the worst cars to be put on the street. While many may have been forgotten, some continue to live on, as pop culture icons or sources of memes!

1. Delorean DMC-12:
Speaking of pop culture icons, you must have heard the name of this vehicle. It was a French brand that came out with this vehicle in 1981. While it may have attracted some people with its design, it had a massively underpowered function. The V6 engine on it barely managed to produce 130hp. It was quite overpriced and its gull-wing doors were probably the best part about the vehicle. While production stopped in 1982, we can thank ‘Back to the future’ for making this car into a pop culture icon.
Considering the sci-fi nature of the movie trilogy, the car’s design fits perfectly into it!

2. Cadillac Allante:
While the luxury brand is known for making impressive vehicles, this one may have been one of its lower points. The vehicle was released to compete with the Jaguar and Mercedes counterparts of the era. However, it was quite overpriced and did not seem to justify the price. It produced a measly 295 horsepower for the front wheel luxury sports that it was hyped up to be. Performance-wise, many rivals ranked higher.

3. Aston Martin Lagonda:
When we think of this luxury brand, our mind immediately goes to the James Bond movies. The DB models of Aston martin are some of the most famous in those films. While the car was in production for 14 years, it only sold about 700 units. Its design and technological features could not save it from being a bust on the market.

4. Cadillac Cimarron:
This car has actually made the list of ‘Worst cars ever made’. While it was shown off as a luxury car, it was nowhere near one. It seemed more like a rebranded Chevrolet Cavalier, which in itself was not an impressive car. It produced about 86hp on a four cylinder engine. This car is a prime example of engineering gone awry.

5. BMW I3:
This vehicle was manufactured with a lot of hope because it promised a lot to the people. There were many people who thought that this car would have a lot to say on the EV market. After all, not many can shatter the electric barrier with ease. After a while, it seemed that the vehicle did quite poorly. Its unconventional style went unappreciated and its limited range threw it way behind the line.

6. Mercedes Benz SLC:
While it may be the oldest brand out there and one of the titans, it also has made some errors. While it produced a respectable amount of horsepower, the power was not the only domain in competition. After a while, it was unable to keep up with the Jaguar F-type or the BMW Z4.

7. Ferrari Mondial 8:
This is one of the best Italian brands to have ever been introduced. Ferrari cars stand out as one of the most unique ones out there. However, this particular model could not stand up to the benchmark that Ferrari had set for itself. It weighed a lot (3500 pounds) and only produced 214hp. All that weight made it a slow race car, going from 0-60 in more than 8 seconds.

8. Rolls Royce Carmague:
While you may not have heard a lot of bad about this luxury brand, this model may just be it. This was the company’s attempt to keep up with modern designs. However, the car turned out to be quite impractical, with a weak 3-speed automatic transmission. Its price tag made it the most expensive production car in the world when it debuted in 1975.
