iPhone 14 Pro Max vs Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

One of Samsung’s most powerful smartphones to date is the just-released Galaxy S23 Ultra from South Korea. The smartphone has Samsung’s Dynamic 2X AMOLED display, a brand-new camera sensor, and one of the most potent CPUs available today. The base model of the iPhone 14 Pro Max is available for Rs 2,39,900, but the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra starts at Rs 1,24,999. Here is a full comparison of the two high-end smartphones from Apple and Samsung.

The Display

The Apple iPhone 14 Pro Max and the Galaxy S23 Ultra are significantly unlike in terms of style and display. The iPhone 14 Pro Max sports a flat display and curves around the edges, in contrast to the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s curved display and boxy form.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max has a 6.7-inch XDR OLED screen, whereas the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a 6.8-inch AMOLED screen. The LTPO screens on the two phones can refresh at rates between 1Hz and 120Hz. When compared to the iPhone 14 Pro Max, the Galaxy S23 Ultra has a somewhat better pixel density. It also has a greater screen-to-body ratio and a smaller Infinity O notch than Apple’s Dynamic Island.

The iPhone 14 Pro Max has Ceramic Shield and is IP68 certified, which provides dust and water resistance, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra’s glass back panel and display are covered by Corning’s Gorilla Glass Victus 2. (up to 1.5 metres for 30 minutes on Galaxy S23 Ultra and up to 6 metres on iPhone 14 Pro Max). The Galaxy S23 Ultra also includes an integrated S-Pen.

Performance

The recently released Galaxy S23 Ultra includes 12GB of RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage. It is powered by a modified version of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 CPU. The iPhone 14 Pro Max, on the other hand, has an internal A16 Bionic processor and provides up to 1TB of NVMe storage.

According to the Geekbench 5 results, Apple’s most recent chipset triumphs when it comes to CPU performance by a comparable margin. When it comes to the GPU, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 performs better than the A16 Bionic in tests like AnTuTu.

Camera

The camera systems of the Galaxy S23 Ultra and iPhone 14 Pro Max both receive some significant upgrades. Battery

Apple withheld the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s battery size, however, it most likely contains a 4,323mAh battery. The Galaxy S23 Ultra, on the other hand, has a 5,000mAh battery and enables 45W rapid charging. Scientists Have A Solution For People Who Are Sick Of Soggy Paper Straws

Sure, paper straws are better for the environment than their plastic counterparts. But they also have a big problem: they get soggy fast. This can make them difficult to use, and downright gag-inducing. However, look no further as scientists have been hard at work finding a way to fix this problem. And they’ve finally come up with a solution that’s sure to please everyone who’s sick of soggy paper straws.

Soggy Paper Straw Coatings 

The use of paper straws has recently gained momentum. However, they are not very practical. Manufacturers have been using other materials including polyethylene or acrylic resin. Meanwhile, Polylactic acid straws and rice straws are also available as alternatives to paper straws. However, the drawback of all these materials that that they do not degrade well in the ocean. While rice straws do offer a more sustainable option as compared to other counterparts, they cost more as well as are very difficult to mass-produce.

The Korea Research Institute of Chemical Technology (KRICT) has worked on a material that is a well-known biodegradable plastic called polybutylene succinate (PBS). The coating is made by mixing a small number of cellulose nanocrystals to create a coating material. This material is made of the same material as the material of paper. This allows the coating to stick firmly to paper, which is not the case with conventional paper straws.

“This technology is but a small step toward the direction we need to take in this era of plastic. Turning the plastic straw we often use into a paper straw will not immediately impact our environment, but the difference will be profound over time. If we gradually change from using convenient disposable plastic products to various eco-friendly products, our future environment will be much safer than what we now worry about,” says head researcher Dr. Oh Dongyeop in a media release.

Product Testing 

The efficacy of the straws was determined by using them in different kinds of liquids including water, tea, soda, milk, and other beverages that contain fats. The straws were left in liquid for a prolonged period. It was observed that the straws have the potential to withstand hot as well as cold drinks for hours.

Scientists also discovered that their coated straws decomposed in the ocean quickly compared to regular plastic straws and corn plastic straws didn’t decompose after 120 days.

The iPhone tax schedule from the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has been modified. Given that these luxury phones continue to be expensive in foreign markets, it is not surprising that these taxes are still relatively high.

Here are the most recent iPhone PTA taxes on CNIC from iPhone 5 to iPhone 14 series:

Turkey And Syria Face Catastrophic 7.8 Magnitude Earthquake

On Monday, today, the region was shaken by one of the largest earthquakes to hit Turkey in more than a century, which caused buildings to collapse and citizens to flee onto the streets, killing at least 200 people in two nations. The 7.8-magnitude earthquake occurred 24.1 kilometers (14.9 miles) beneath the surface, 23 kilometers (14.2 miles) east of Nurdagi in the Gaziantep province. In addition to Syria and Lebanon, other nations affected by the earthquake included Turkey, Syria, and Nurdagi.

Turkey’s disaster management organization, AFAD, reports that at least 76 people have died and more than 440 have been hurt. According to a Health Ministry official quoted by the Syrian state-run news agency SANA, at least 42 people have been killed and almost 200 more have been injured in neighboring Syria. According to SANA, deaths were recorded in Syria’s Aleppo, Hama, and Latakia. The “White Helmets” organization, formally known as Syria Civil Defense, claims that dozens of people are trapped beneath the debris.

Residents were probably asleep when the earthquake hit and were unprepared for the impact. Numerous toppled buildings could be seen in social media videos, along with terrified locals hiding on the pitch-black streets. By flashlight, rescue personnel can be seen undertaking search and rescue operations. Twitter has been flooded with people posting videos of the destruction, well-wishers for Turkey, and even cries for help.

The people who still have access to the internet are also sharing videos and images of the aftermath of the earthquake. Many areas of Turkey have lost access to electricity and other necessities. People are still stuck under the rumble of debris and others cannot get out of their houses due to the chaos and destruction outside. The earthquake has caused natural gas pipelines to burst and cause huge fires in Amik plain in Hatay.

Further, Twitter has also been receiving footage from Syria and Lebanon where the tremors felt as well. People are still stuck under debris and help is being delayed because of the conditions becoming more worse and chaotic as time passes.

Suleyman Soylu, Turkey’s interior minister, said that teams have been sent to the south of the nation to conduct search and rescue operations. The European Union’s humanitarian program, the Emergency Response Coordination Centre (ERCC), claimed that the disaster agency, AFAD, has asked for assistance from abroad. According to its governor, Ali Yerlikaya, Istanbul, Turkey’s biggest city, has sent out close to 1,000 search and rescue volunteers.

In less than a minute after the 7.8 magnitude earthquake struck, the journalist Eyad Kourdi of the city of Gaziantep told CNN that there were up to eight “extremely violent” aftershocks, which caused the possessions in his home to fall to the ground. He said that many of his neighbors had evacuated their homes after the earthquake.

Davut Gul, the governor of Gaziantep, tweeted that “the earthquake was felt powerfully in our city” and urged people to wait outside of their homes and maintain composure. “Let’s calmly wait outside, please. Don’t let’s drive our cars. Do not congest the key thoroughfares. Let’s not overuse the phones”, he said.

Will ChatGPT Destroy Google Soon?

Even though ChatGPT has had a significant impact since its inception in November, a well-known computer engineer thinks we’ve merely scratched the surface. Paul Buchheit, the developer of Gmail, tweeted that OpenAI’s Chat Generative Pre-Trained Transformer (ChatGPT) may put Google out of business in “a year or two” after it made its debut.

The Search Engine Result Page, which is where they generate the majority of their revenue, will be eliminated by AI, according to Buchheit. Even if they catch up with AI, they won’t be able to completely use it without ruining their most important asset.

Buchheit makes a valid point, but the internet has been predicting Google’s death ever since ChatGPT appeared. A large portion of Google’s income comes from advertising. You see advertising when you search on Google, which is how Google generates money. But why would anybody ever Google again if an AI can perfectly answer every inquiry you have without presenting a page full of links (and adverts) on the Search Engine Results Page (SERP)?

Therefore, even if Google soon introduces its own ChatGPT substitute, it will be driving users away from its primary revenue stream.

‘IO’ Movie Review – Will Humans Actually Have To Escape To Jupiter?

The earth has become toxic in a post-apocalyptic world, and the majority of people have fled to one of Jupiter’s moons, IO. Sam Walden, a young scientist, has stayed behind and committed her life to figure out how humans may survive on Earth. Micah shows up there after she makes a radio transmission to try if she can find anyone else. He plans to board the last shuttle to IO in 48 hours because he doesn’t think there is any chance of surviving. Here is the trailer.

Io is a 2019 American science fiction film directed by Jonathan Helpert. It stars Margaret Qualley, Anthony Mackie, and Danny Huston. It was released on January 18, 2019, by Netflix.

Plot 

One of the few individuals still living on Earth is Sam Walden. She tries to produce bees that can survive in the environment while living alone at a high altitude where the air is still breathable. Her goal is to someday use bees to clear the air by pollinating plants that produce oxygen. She is urged to board the final shuttle out of Earth by her long-distance boyfriend, who resides on the Io station. All of Sam’s bees are killed by a toxic cloud that a storm generates and flows through her hive. Shortly after, Micah, a man traveling by helium balloon, appears. Sam’s father, Dr. Harry Walden, had pushed people to stay because he still saw hope, but he first wants to talk with him before making his way to the launch site and leaving Earth.

Sam initially claims that her father is working somewhere on a field project. But after a day, she says that her father passed away the year before. Hearing this, Sam apathetically agrees to Micah’s plan to accompany Sam to the space shuttle. Sam records a message informing everyone on Earth that Dr. Walden’s attempt to clean the planet was ultimately unsuccessful and that everyone should leave, and go to Io, after receiving a message from her boyfriend saying goodbye because he is part of an expedition leaving on a 10-year journey to an exoplanet orbiting Alpha Centauri.

Sam and Micah get closer as they prepare and wait for the ideal wind conditions, falling in love. They also find out that Sam’s hive produced a new queen bee that is resistant to the noxious air. They are informed that the shuttle launch has been moved to a new, farther-off location. In order to get the helium they need for the voyage, they drive into a metropolis that is engulfed in a poisonous atmosphere. After locating the helium, Sam goes to an art gallery by himself. Knowing that she is losing oxygen, Micah chases after her. Sam takes off her mask and breathes the poisonous air in an attempt to survive rather than transferring to a new tank.

Sam is not poisoned by the new surroundings, unlike the new queen bee in her colony. She is seen standing alone on a beach in the final moments of the movie before being joined by a tiny child, who is probably Micah’s son. Can EVs save the environment

That’s supposing that by 2035 all new passenger cars sold in the US will be EVs and that by 2040 all new heavy-duty vehicles sold will be EVs. Furthermore, a grid free of fossil fuels would be required to power such automobiles. But it still remains almost difficult to replace the great majority of the roughly 280 million automobiles and trucks now on the road in the country with electric vehicles in such a short amount of time. The 30-year-old police officer is from a well-to-do family; his mother is of Iraqi heritage, and his father had previously worked as a police deputy inspector general (DIG). Bangwar spent his free time in the studios while studying in London, where Evan Rogers heard his demos before sending them to Interscope Records, where Jay Brown, an A&R executive, was one of the first to hear them. Interscope Records CEO Jimmy Lovine signed a two-year contract with Bangwar after hearing the demo.

Achievements 

Hazim released “One Man Army” his debut mixtape for Interscope Records, in 2013 with the lead single “Run Em” which went on to be used by a number of other artists, including Havana Brown. Dwayne Michael Carter, Jr. made Bangwar an offer to sign on with Young Money Entertainment as a singer/songwriter after learning that he had written songs for artists like Jessie J, Future, Ciara, Juelz, T-Pain, Jason Derulo, and Nicki Minaj.

Bangwar released “Haram” his debut single, in November 2019. It peaked at #5 in India, #5 in Egypt, #1 in Hungary, and #5 in South Korea. Bangwar became the first Pakistani singer to do so with an English song, making history in the process. Bangwar’s second song, “Hell Ya” which he released in February 2020, debuted at number one in Ghana, as well as in France, South Korea, Austria, and South Korea. He released “Tujhko Bhulaya” his debut Urdu song, in 2021. The accomplished singer also attended major music awards in Hollywood.

The Foreign Ministry of Saudi Arabia introduced an electronic service on Monday that would enable travelers who are stopping over in the country to get an entry visa.
